Oracle sur Babylone, révélé à Ésaïe, fils d’Amots.

CARGA de Babilonia, que vió Isaías, hijo de Amoz.

Sur une montagne nue dressez une bannière, Élevez la voix vers eux, Faites des signes avec la main, Et qu’ils franchissent les portes des tyrans!

Levantad bandera sobre un alto monte; alzad la voz á ellos, alzad la mano, para que entren por puertas de príncipes.

Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

Set up a banner on the bare mountain! Lift up your voice to them! Wave your hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

J’ai donné des ordres à ma sainte milice, J’ai appelé les héros de ma colère, Ceux qui se réjouissent de ma grandeur.

Yo mandé á mis santificados, asimismo llamé á mis valientes para mi ira, á los que se alegran con mi gloria.

I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

I have commanded my consecrated ones; yes, I have called my mighty men for my anger, even my proudly exulting ones.

On entend une rumeur sur les montagnes, Comme celle d’un peuple nombreux; On entend un tumulte de royaumes, de nations rassemblées: L’Éternel des armées passe en revue l’armée qui va combattre.

Murmullo de multitud en los montes, como de mucho pueblo; murmullo de ruido de reinos, de gentes reunidas: Jehová de los ejércitos ordena las tropas de la batalla.

The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.

The noise of a multitude is in the mountains, as of a great people; the noise of an uproar of the kingdoms of the nations gathered together! The LORD of Armies is mustering the army for the battle.

Ils viennent d’un pays lointain, De l’extrémité des cieux: L’Éternel et les instruments de sa colère Vont détruire toute la contrée.

Vienen de lejana tierra, de lo postrero de los cielos, Jehová y los instrumentos de su furor, para destruir toda la tierra.

They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

Gémissez, car le jour de l’Éternel est proche: Il vient comme un ravage du Tout-Puissant.

Aullad, porque cerca está el día de Jehová; vendrá como asolamiento del Todopoderoso.

Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

C’est pourquoi toutes les mains s’affaiblissent, Et tout cœur d’homme est abattu.

Por tanto, se enervarán todas la manos, y desleiráse todo corazón de hombre:

Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:

Therefore all hands will be feeble, and everyone’s heart will melt.

Ils sont frappés d’épouvante; Les spasmes et les douleurs les saisissent; Ils se tordent comme une femme en travail; Ils se regardent les uns les autres avec stupeur; Leurs visages sont enflammés.

Y se llenarán de terror; angustias y dolores los comprenderán; tendrán dolores como mujer de parto; pasmaráse cada cual al mirar á su compañero; sus rostros, rostros de llamas.

And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

They will be dismayed. Pangs and sorrows will seize them. They will be in pain like a woman in labor. They will look in amazement one at another. Their faces will be faces of flame.

Voici, le jour de l’Éternel arrive, Jour cruel, jour de colère et d’ardente fureur, Qui réduira la terre en solitude, Et en exterminera les pécheurs.

He aquí el día de Jehová viene, crudo, y de saña y ardor de ira, para tornar la tierra en soledad, y raer de ella sus pecadores.

Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Car les étoiles des cieux et leurs astres Ne feront plus briller leur lumière, Le soleil s’obscurcira dès son lever, Et la lune ne fera plus luire sa clarté.

Por lo cual las estrellas de los cielos y sus luceros no derramarán su lumbre; y el sol se oscurecerá en naciendo, y la luna no echará su resplandor.

For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

Je punirai le monde pour sa malice, Et les méchants pour leurs iniquités; Je ferai cesser l’orgueil des hautains, Et j’abattrai l’arrogance des tyrans.

Y visitaré la maldad sobre el mundo, y sobre los impíos su iniquidad; y haré que cese la arrogancia de los soberbios, y abatiré la altivez de los fuertes.

And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Je rendrai les hommes plus rares que l’or fin, Je les rendrai plus rares que l’or d’Ophir.

Haré más precioso que el oro fino al varón, y más que el oro de Ophir al hombre.

I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

I will make people more rare than fine gold, even a person than the pure gold of Ophir.

C’est pourquoi j’ébranlerai les cieux, Et la terre sera secouée sur sa base, Par la colère de l’Éternel des armées, Au jour de son ardente fureur.

Porque haré estremecer los cielos, y la tierra se moverá de su lugar, en la indignación de Jehová de los ejércitos, y en el día de la ira de su furor.

Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place in the LORD of Armies’ wrath, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Alors, comme une gazelle effarouchée, Comme un troupeau sans berger, Chacun se tournera vers son peuple, Chacun fuira vers son pays;

Y será que como corza amontada, y como oveja sin pastor, cada cual mirará hacia su pueblo, y cada uno huirá á su tierra.

And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.

It will happen that like a hunted gazelle and like sheep that no one gathers, they will each turn to their own people, and will each flee to their own land.

Tous ceux qu’on trouvera seront percés, Et tous ceux qu’on saisira tomberont par l’épée.

Cualquiera que fuere hallado, será alanceado; y cualquiera que á ellos se juntare, caerá á cuchillo.

Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.

Everyone who is found will be thrust through. Everyone who is captured will fall by the sword.

Leurs enfants seront écrasés sous leurs yeux, Leurs maisons seront pillées, et leurs femmes violées.

Sus niños serán estrellados delante de ellos; sus casas serán saqueadas, y forzadas sus mujeres.

Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.

Their infants also will be dashed in pieces before their eyes. Their houses will be ransacked, and their wives raped.

Voici, j’excite contre eux les Mèdes, Qui ne font point cas de l’argent, Et qui ne convoitent point l’or.

He aquí que yo despierto contra ellos á los Medos, que no curarán de la plata, ni codiciarán oro.

Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.

De leurs arcs ils abattront les jeunes gens, Et ils seront sans pitié pour le fruit des entrailles: Leur œil n’épargnera point les enfants.

Y con arcos tirarán á los niños, y no tendrán misericordia de fruto de vientre, ni su ojo perdonará á hijos.

Et Babylone, l’ornement des royaumes, La fière parure des Chaldéens, Sera comme Sodome et Gomorrhe, que Dieu détruisit.

Y Babilonia, hermosura de reinos y ornamento de la grandeza de los Caldeos, será como Sodoma y Gomorra, á las que trastornó Dios.

And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

Elle ne sera plus jamais habitée, Elle ne sera plus jamais peuplée; L’Arabe n’y dressera point sa tente, Et les bergers n’y parqueront point leurs troupeaux.

Nunca más será habitada, ni se morará en ella de generación en generación; ni hincará allí tienda el Arabe, ni pastores tendrán allí majada:

It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

It will never be inhabited, neither will it be lived in from generation to generation. The Arabian will not pitch a tent there, neither will shepherds make their flocks lie down there.

Les animaux du désert y prendront leur gîte, Les hiboux rempliront ses maisons, Les autruches en feront leur demeure Et les boucs y sauteront.

Sino que dormirán allí bestias fieras, y sus casas se llenarán de hurones, allí habitarán hijas del buho, y allí saltarán peludos.

But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

But wild animals of the desert will lie there, and their houses will be full of jackals. Ostriches will dwell there, and wild goats will frolic there.

Les chacals hurleront dans ses palais, Et les chiens sauvages dans ses maisons de plaisance. Son temps est près d’arriver, Et ses jours ne se prolongeront pas.

Y en sus palacios gritarán gatos cervales, y chacales en sus casas de deleite: y abocado está á venir su tiempo, y sus días no se alargarán.

And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

Hyenas will cry in their fortresses, and jackals in the pleasant palaces. Her time is near to come, and her days will not be prolonged.
