Comment es-tu tombé du ciel, astre brillant, fils de l'aurore ? Comment es-tu renversé en terre, toi qui foulais les nations ?

¡Cómo caiste del cielo, oh Lucero, hijo de la mañana! Cortado fuiste por tierra, tú que debilitabas las gentes.

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

How you have fallen from heaven, shining one, son of the dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, who laid the nations low!
