Pero el Señor tendrá misericordia de los israelitas, pues todavía son especial posesión suya. Los llevará de regreso para poblar nuevamente la tierra de Israel. Y muchas naciones vendrán y se unirán a ellos allí y serán sus leales aliados.
PORQUE Jehová tendrá piedad de Jacob, y todavía escogerá á Israel, y les hará reposar en su tierra: y á ellos se unirán extranjeros, y allegaránse á la familia de Jacob.
For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.

Las naciones del mundo les ayudarán a regresar, y los que lleguen a vivir en su tierra les servirán. Los que esclavicen a Israel serán esclavizados. ¡Israel gobernará a sus enemigos!
Y los tomarán los pueblos, y traeránlos á su lugar: y la casa de Israel los poseerá por siervos y criadas en la tierra de Jehová: y cautivarán á los que los cautivaron, y señorearán á los que los oprimieron.
And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.

En el día maravilloso en que el Señor dé a su pueblo reposo de la pena y el temor, de la esclavitud y las cadenas,
Y será en el día que Jehová te diere reposo de tu trabajo, y de tu temor, y de la dura servidumbre en que te hicieron servir,
And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,

That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

Al que con ira hería los pueblos de llaga permanente, el cual se enseñoreaba de las gentes con furor, y las perseguía con crueldad.
He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.

¡Mas por fin toda la tierra está en reposo y tranquilidad! Todo el mundo comienza a cantar.

Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.

Los moradores del infierno se apiñan para recibirte cuando entras en su dominio. Caudillos de todo el mundo y los más poderosos reyes, muertos hace mucho, están allí para verte.
El infierno abajo se espantó de ti; te despertó muertos que en tu venida saliesen á recibirte, hizo levantar de sus sillas á todos los príncipes de la tierra, á todos los reyes de las naciones.
Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
Sheol from beneath has moved for you to meet you at your coming. It stirs up the departed spirits for you, even all the rulers of the earth. It has raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
Exclaman a una voz: «¡Ahora eres tan débil como nosotros!».
Todos ellos darán voces, y te dirán: ¿Tú también enfermaste como nosotros, y como nosotros fuiste?
All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?
They all will answer and ask you, “Have you also become as weak as we are? Have you become like us?”
Se esfumaron tu grandeza y poder; contigo quedan enterrados. Cesó toda dulce música en tu palacio; ahora tu sábana son larvas y tu frazada, gusanos.
Descendió al sepulcro tu soberbia, y el sonido de tus vihuelas: gusanos serán tu cama, y gusanos te cubrirán.
Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.
Your pomp is brought down to Sheol, with the sound of your stringed instruments. Maggots are spread out under you, and worms cover you.
¡Cómo caíste del cielo, oh Lucifer, hijo de la aurora! ¡Cómo has sido derribado en tierra, tú que fuiste tan poderoso luchando contra las naciones del mundo!

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Porque te extasiabas pensando: «Subiré al cielo y gobernaré a los ángeles.

Treparé hasta lo más elevado del cielo y seré como el Altísimo».
Sobre las alturas de las nubes subiré, y seré semejante al Altísimo.

Pero en vez de ello, serás hundido en lo más profundo del abismo infernal.
Mas tú derribado eres en el sepulcro, á los lados de la huesa.
Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Allá todos te mirarán con asombro y preguntarán: «¿Será este aquel que hacía temblar la tierra y los reinos del mundo?
Inclinarse han hacia ti los que te vieren, te considerarán diciendo: ¿Es este aquel varón que hacía temblar la tierra, que trastornaba los reinos;
They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
Those who see you will stare at you. They will ponder you, saying, “Is this the man who made the earth to tremble, who shook kingdoms,
¿Será este aquel que destruía el mundo, convirtiéndolo en un degolladero, demoliendo sus grandes ciudades sin tener misericordia de sus prisioneros?».
Que puso el mundo como un desierto, que asoló sus ciudades; que á sus presos nunca abrió la cárcel?
That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

En regia gloria reposan en sus tumbas los reyes de las naciones,
Todos los reyes de las gentes, todos ellos yacen con honra cada uno en su casa.
All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.

pero tu cuerpo está tirado como si fuera rama desgajada; yace en un sepulcro abierto, cubierto por los cadáveres de los muertos en batalla; yace como carroña en el camino, pisoteado y deshecho por los cascos de los caballos.
Mas tú echado eres de tu sepulcro como tronco abominable, como vestido de muertos pasados á cuchillo, que descendieron al fondo de la sepultura; como cuerpo muerto hollado.
But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.

Para ti no habrá monumento, porque has destruido a tu nación y has asesinado a tu pueblo. Tu hijo no te sucederá en el trono.
No serás contado con ellos en la sepultura: porque tú destruiste tu tierra, mataste tu pueblo. No será nombrada para siempre la simiente de los malignos.
Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.
You will not join them in burial, because you have destroyed your land. You have killed your people. The offspring of evildoers will not be named forever.
Maten a los hijos de este pecador. No dejen que se levanten a conquistar la tierra ni a reconstruir las ciudades del mundo.
Aparejad sus hijos para el matadero por la maldad de sus padres: no se levanten, ni posean la tierra, é hinchan la haz del mundo de ciudades.
Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.

Yo mismo me he alzado contra él, dice el Señor Todopoderoso, y troncharé a sus hijos y a los hijos de sus hijos para que jamás se sienten en su trono.

Convertiré a Babilonia en páramo para los puercoespines, lleno de pantanos y ciénagas. Barreré el país con escoba de destrucción, dice el Señor Todopoderoso.
Y convertiréla en posesión de erizos, y en lagunas de agua; y la barreré con escobas de destrucción, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.
I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the LORD of hosts.

Dios ha jurado hacerlo, diciendo: Tal es mi propósito y mi plan.
Jehová de los ejércitos juró, diciendo: Ciertamente se hará de la manera que lo he pensado, y será confirmado como lo he determinado:

He resuelto quebrantar el ejército asirio cuando esté en Israel, y aplastarlo en mis montes. Mi pueblo no será más esclavo suyo.
Que quebrantaré al Asirio en mi tierra, y en mis montes lo hollaré; y su yugo será apartado de ellos, y su carga será quitada de su hombro.
That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

El Señor, el Dios de la batalla, ha hablado; ¿quién podrá cambiar sus planes? Cuando su mano se mueve, ¿quién puede detenerlo?
Porque Jehová de los ejércitos ha determinado: ¿y quién invalidará? Y su mano extendida, ¿quién la hará tornar?
For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
For the LORD of Armies has planned, and who can stop it? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?”
Esta es la comunicación que recibí el año que murió el rey Acaz:
En el año que murió el rey Achâz fué esta carga:
In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden.
This burden was in the year that King Ahaz died.
No se regocijen, filisteos, de que haya muerto el rey que los hería. Cierto que esa vara está quebrada, pero su hijo será para ustedes peor azote de lo que fue su padre. De la serpiente nacerá una víbora, una víbora de fuego que los destruirá.
No te alegres tú, Filistea toda, por haberse quebrado la vara del que te hería; porque de la raíz de la culebra saldrá basilisco, y su fruto, ceraste volador.
Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent’s root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.
Don’t rejoice, O Philistia, all of you, because the rod that struck you is broken; for out of the serpent’s root an adder will emerge, and his fruit will be a fiery flying serpent.
Yo pastorearé a los pobres de mi pueblo; ellos pacerán en mis pastos. En paz se acostarán los menesterosos. Pero a ti, a ti te raeré mediante el hambre y la espada.
Y los primogénitos de los pobres serán apacentados, y los menesterosos se acostarán seguramente: mas yo haré morir de hambre tu raíz, y mataré tus reliquias.
And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.

Lloren, ciudades filisteas, condenadas están. Condenada está toda su nación, porque un ejército perfectamente entrenado baja desde el norte contra ti.
Aulla, oh puerta; clama, oh ciudad; disuelta estás toda tú, Filistea: porque humo vendrá de aquilón, no quedará uno solo en sus asambleas.
Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.
Howl, gate! Cry, city! You are melted away, Philistia, all of you; for smoke comes out of the north, and there is no straggler in his ranks.
¿Y qué les diremos a los cronistas? Díganles que el Señor fundó a Jerusalén y él ha resuelto que los pobres de entre su pueblo hallen refugio dentro de sus muros.
¿Y qué se responderá á los mensajeros de la gentilidad? Que Jehová fundó á Sión, y que á ella se acogerán los afligidos de su pueblo.
What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.
What will they answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD has founded Zion, and in her the afflicted of his people will take refuge.
