Este es el mensaje de Dios respecto a Babilonia: Desde el desierto viene contra ustedes un desastre rugiente, como son los torbellinos arrasadores del sur.
CARGA del desierto de la mar. Como los torbellinos que pasan por el desierto en la región del mediodía, así vienen de la tierra horrenda.
The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.
The burden of the wilderness of the sea. As whirlwinds in the South sweep through, it comes from the wilderness, from an awesome land.
Veo una espantosa visión: ¡Oh, qué horrendo! Dios me dice lo que hará: ¡los veo saqueados y destruidos! Elamitas y medos participarán en el asedio. Babilonia caerá, y entonces llegará a su fin el gemido de todas las naciones que ella esclavizó.
Visión dura me ha sido mostrada. El prevaricador prevarica, y el destructor destruye. Sube, Persa; cerca, Medo. Todo su gemido hice cesar.
A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.
A grievous vision is declared to me. The treacherous man deals treacherously, and the destroyer destroys. Go up, Elam; attack! I have stopped all of Media’s sighing.
Tengo retortijones y dolor de estómago, siento agudas punzadas de horror, como de mujer que da a luz. Me desmayo al oír lo que Dios planea, estoy horrorizado, me ciega la angustia.
Por tanto mis lomos se han llenado de dolor; angustias se apoderaron de mí, como angustias de mujer de parto: agobiéme oyendo, y al ver heme espantado.
Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.
Therefore my thighs are filled with anguish. Pains have seized me, like the pains of a woman in labor. I am in so much pain that I can’t hear. I am so dismayed that I can’t see.
Yo desvarío, el corazón me late impetuoso, soy presa de espantoso miedo. Todo reposo nocturno —¡qué agradable era!— ha desaparecido; estoy en mi lecho desierto y tembloroso.
Pasmóse mi corazón, el horror me ha intimidado; la noche de mi deseo se me tornó en espanto.
My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me.
My heart flutters. Horror has frightened me. The twilight that I desired has been turned into trembling for me.
¡Miren! ¡Están preparando un gran banquete! Llenan de manjares las mesas, arman sus sillas para comer… ¡Vamos! ¡Pronto, tomen los escudos y alístense para el combate! ¡Los están atacando!
Pon la mesa, mira del atalaya, come, bebe: levantaos, príncipes, ungid el escudo.
Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield.
They prepare the table. They set the watch. They eat. They drink. Rise up, you princes, oil the shield!
Mientras tanto en mi visión el Señor me había dicho: Coloca un vigía sobre la muralla de la ciudad para que grite lo que vea: Cuando vea pares de jinetes cabalgando en burros y camellos, dile: «¡Ya está!».
Porque el Señor me dijo así: Ve, pon centinela que haga saber lo que viere.
For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.
For the Lord said to me, “Go, set a watchman. Let him declare what he sees.

Y vió un carro de un par de caballeros, un carro de asno, y un carro de camello. Luego miró muy más atentamente.
And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed:
When he sees a troop, horsemen in pairs, a troop of donkeys, a troop of camels, he shall listen diligently with great attentiveness.”
Coloqué, pues, al vigía sobre la muralla y al fin él gritó: ―Señor, día y noche he estado aquí en mi puesto; ahora por fin, ¡mire! ¡Allá vienen jinetes apareados! Entonces oí una voz que clamaba: ―¡Cayó, cayó Babilonia, y todos los ídolos de Babilonia yacen despedazados por tierra!
Y gritó como un león: Señor, sobre la atalaya estoy yo continuamente de día, y las noches enteras sobre mi guarda:
And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights:
He cried like a lion: “Lord, I stand continually on the watchtower in the daytime, and every night I stay at my post.

Y he aquí este carro de hombres viene, un par de caballeros. Después habló, y dijo: Cayó, cayó Babilonia; y todos los ídolos de sus dioses quebrantó en tierra.
And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
Behold, here comes a troop of men, horsemen in pairs.” He answered, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the engraved images of her gods are broken to the ground.
¡Oh pueblo mío, trillado y aventado, les he dicho cuanto el Señor Todopoderoso, el Dios de Israel, ha dicho!
Trilla mía, y paja de mi era: os he dicho lo que oí de Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel.
O my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
You are my threshing, and the grain of my floor!” That which I have heard from the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, I have declared to you.
Este es el mensaje de Dios para Edom: Alguien de entre ustedes continuamente me llama: «Guarda, ¿qué de la noche? Guarda, ¿qué de la noche? ¿Cuánto tiempo falta?».
Carga de Duma. Danme voces de Seir: Guarda, ¿qué de la noche? Guarda, ¿qué de la noche?
The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
The burden of Dumah. One calls to me out of Seir, “Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?”
El guarda responde: «El día de su juicio está amaneciendo. Vuélvanse a Dios para que yo pueda darles mejores noticias. Búsquenlo, y luego vuelvan a preguntar».
El guarda respondió: La mañana viene, y después la noche: si preguntareis, preguntad; volved, venid.
The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come.
The watchman said, “The morning comes, and also the night. If you will inquire, inquire. Come back again.”
Este es el mensaje de Dios respecto a Arabia: «¡Oh caravanas procedentes de Dedán, ustedes se ocultarán en los desiertos de Arabia!
Carga sobre Arabia. En el monte tendréis la noche en Arabia, oh caminantes de Dedanim.
The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim.
The burden on Arabia. You will lodge in the thickets in Arabia, you caravans of Dedanites.
Pueblo de Temá: Traigan comida y agua para estos cansados fugitivos.
Salid á encontrar al sediento; llevadle aguas, moradores de tierra de Tema, socorred con su pan al que huye.
The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled.
They brought water to him who was thirsty. The inhabitants of the land of Tema met the fugitives with their bread.
Vienen huyendo de las espadas desnudas, las agudas flechas y los terrores de la guerra.
Porque de la presencia de las espadas huyen, de la presencia de la espada desnuda, de la presencia del arco entesado, de la presencia del peso de la batalla.
For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
For they fled away from the swords, from the drawn sword, from the bent bow, and from the heat of battle.
Mas pasará un largo año a partir de ahora, dice el Señor, y el gran poder del enemigo de ellos, la poderosa tribu de Cedar, acabará.
Porque así me ha dicho Jehová: De aquí á un año, semejante á años de mozo de soldada, toda la gloria de Cedar será deshecha;
For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:
For the Lord said to me, “Within a year, as a worker bound by contract would count it, all the glory of Kedar will fail,
Sólo unos cuantos de sus aguerridos arqueros sobrevivirán». El Señor, el Dios de Israel, ha hablado.
Y las reliquias del número de los valientes flecheros, hijos de Cedar, serán apocadas: porque Jehová Dios de Israel lo ha dicho.
And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the LORD God of Israel hath spoken it.
and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, will be few; for the LORD, the God of Israel, has spoken it.”
