Una terrible visión me ha sido anunciada: El que es falto de fe obra como falto de fge, el saqueador devasta. Ponte en marcha, ¡oh Elam!; pon el sitio, ¡oh medo! Yo daré descanso a todos los que ella hacía gemir.
CARGA del desierto de la mar. Como los torbellinos que pasan por el desierto en la región del mediodía, así vienen de la tierra horrenda.
The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.
The burden of the wilderness of the sea. As whirlwinds in the South sweep through, it comes from the wilderness, from an awesome land.
Por esto están doloridas mis entrañas y padezco una congoja semejante a la de una mujer que está de parto; me atemoricé al oírlo, y al verlo quedé sin aliento.
Visión dura me ha sido mostrada. El prevaricador prevarica, y el destructor destruye. Sube, Persa; cerca, Medo. Todo su gemido hice cesar.
A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.
A grievous vision is declared to me. The treacherous man deals treacherously, and the destroyer destroys. Go up, Elam; attack! I have stopped all of Media’s sighing.
El corazón se me derrite, me quedó pasmado de horror. Babilonia, mi querida Babilonia, es para mí un objeto de asombro.
Por tanto mis lomos se han llenado de dolor; angustias se apoderaron de mí, como angustias de mujer de parto: agobiéme oyendo, y al ver heme espantado.
Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.
Therefore my thighs are filled with anguish. Pains have seized me, like the pains of a woman in labor. I am in so much pain that I can’t hear. I am so dismayed that I can’t see.
Pon la mesa; está de observación desde un atalaya; vosotros, ¡oh príncipes, que estáis comiendo y bebiendo!, levantaos, tomad el escudo.
Pasmóse mi corazón, el horror me ha intimidado; la noche de mi deseo se me tornó en espanto.
My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me.
My heart flutters. Horror has frightened me. The twilight that I desired has been turned into trembling for me.
Porque el Señor me ha hablado de este modo: Ve, y pon un centinela, y que dé aviso de todo lo que observe.
Pon la mesa, mira del atalaya, come, bebe: levantaos, príncipes, ungid el escudo.
Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield.
They prepare the table. They set the watch. They eat. They drink. Rise up, you princes, oil the shield!
Y él descubrió dos carros de guerra con dos caballeros, uno montado en un asno y el otro en un camello y los estuvo contemplando atentamente por mucho tiempo.
Porque el Señor me dijo así: Ve, pon centinela que haga saber lo que viere.
For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.
For the Lord said to me, “Go, set a watchman. Let him declare what he sees.
Y gritó como león: Yo estoy de centinela de parte del Señor; de día permanezco aquí continuamente, y estoy pasando en mi puesto las noches enteras.
Y vió un carro de un par de caballeros, un carro de asno, y un carro de camello. Luego miró muy más atentamente.
And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed:
When he sees a troop, horsemen in pairs, a troop of donkeys, a troop of camels, he shall listen diligently with great attentiveness.”
He aquí que viene la pareja de los de a caballo en sus cabalgaduras; y añadió y dijo: Cayó, cayó Babilonia, y todos los simulacros de sus dioses se han estrellado contra la tierra.
Y gritó como un león: Señor, sobre la atalaya estoy yo continuamente de día, y las noches enteras sobre mi guarda:
And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights:
He cried like a lion: “Lord, I stand continually on the watchtower in the daytime, and every night I stay at my post.
¡Oh vosotros, trilladura mía, vosotros hijos de mi era!, lo que oí del Señor de los ejércitos del Dios de Israel, eso os he anunciado.
Y he aquí este carro de hombres viene, un par de caballeros. Después habló, y dijo: Cayó, cayó Babilonia; y todos los ídolos de sus dioses quebrantó en tierra.
And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
Behold, here comes a troop of men, horsemen in pairs.” He answered, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the engraved images of her gods are broken to the ground.
Duro anuncio contra Duma, o Idumea: Gritando ésta desde Seir: Centinela, ¿qué ha habido esta noche? Centinela, ¿qué ha habido esta noche?
Trilla mía, y paja de mi era: os he dicho lo que oí de Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel.
O my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
You are my threshing, and the grain of my floor!” That which I have heard from the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, I have declared to you.
Responde el centinela: Ha venido la mañana, y la noche vendrá; si buscáis, buscad de veras, convertíos, y venid.
Carga de Duma. Danme voces de Seir: Guarda, ¿qué de la noche? Guarda, ¿qué de la noche?
The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
The burden of Dumah. One calls to me out of Seir, “Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?”
Duro anuncio contra la Arabia: Vosotros dormiréis a la noche en el bosque sobre el camino de Dedanim.
El guarda respondió: La mañana viene, y después la noche: si preguntareis, preguntad; volved, venid.
The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come.
The watchman said, “The morning comes, and also the night. If you will inquire, inquire. Come back again.”
Los que moráis por la parte de mediodía, salid al encuentro, llevad agua al sediento, e id provistos de pan para socorro del que huye.
Carga sobre Arabia. En el monte tendréis la noche en Arabia, oh caminantes de Dedanim.
The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim.
The burden on Arabia. You will lodge in the thickets in Arabia, you caravans of Dedanites.
Porque huyen de la espada desenvainada de la cuchilla inminente del arco tenso, del furor del sangriento combate.
Salid á encontrar al sediento; llevadle aguas, moradores de tierra de Tema, socorred con su pan al que huye.
The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled.
They brought water to him who was thirsty. The inhabitants of the land of Tema met the fugitives with their bread.
Porque esto me dice el Señor: Dentro de un año, año cabal como el de mozo jornalero, desaparecerá toda la gloria de Cedar.
Porque de la presencia de las espadas huyen, de la presencia de la espada desnuda, de la presencia del arco entesado, de la presencia del peso de la batalla.
For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
For they fled away from the swords, from the drawn sword, from the bent bow, and from the heat of battle.
Y el número que quedará de los esforzados arqueros de Cedar será pequeño; porque el Señor Dios de Israel así lo ha dicho.
Porque así me ha dicho Jehová: De aquí á un año, semejante á años de mozo de soldada, toda la gloria de Cedar será deshecha;
For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:
For the Lord said to me, “Within a year, as a worker bound by contract would count it, all the glory of Kedar will fail,
Duro anuncio contra el valle de la Visión, o Jerusalén . ¿Qué es lo que tú también tienes, que tu gente toda se sube a los terrados?
Y las reliquias del número de los valientes flecheros, hijos de Cedar, serán apocadas: porque Jehová Dios de Israel lo ha dicho.
And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the LORD God of Israel hath spoken it.
and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, will be few; for the LORD, the God of Israel, has spoken it.”
