13Ecco il paese de' Caldei; questo popolo non era ancora, quando Assur fondò quello per coloro che dimoravano ne' deserti; essi aveano rizzate le sue torri, aveano alzati i suoi palazzi; e pure egli è stato messo in ruina.

13Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, till the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up the palaces thereof; and he brought it to ruin.
