Isaías 23

Sii confusa, o Sidon! Poiché così parla il mare, la fortezza del mare: “Io non sono stata in doglie, e non ho partorito, non ho nutrito dei giovani, non ho allevato delle vergini”.

Avergüénzate, Sidón, porque la mar, la fortaleza de la mar habló, diciendo: Nunca estuve de parto, ni parí, ni crié mancebos, ni levanté vírgenes.

Be thou ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea hath spoken, even the strength of the sea, saying, I travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish up young men, nor bring up virgins.

Be ashamed, Sidon; for the sea has spoken, the stronghold of the sea, saying, “I have not travailed, nor given birth, neither have I nourished young men, nor brought up virgins.”
