E’ questa la vostra città sempre gaia, la cui origine data dai giorni antichi? I suoi piedi la portavano in terre lontane a soggiornarvi.
¿No era ésta vuestra ciudad alegre, su antigüedad de muchos días? Sus pies la llevarán á peregrinar lejos.

L’ha decretato l’Eterno degli eserciti, per offuscare l’orgoglio d’ogni splendore, per avvilire tutti i grandi della terra.

He stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: the LORD hath given a commandment against the merchant city, to destroy the strong holds thereof.

e ha detto: “tu non continuerai più a rallegrarti, o figliuola di Sidon, vergine disonorata!” Lèvati, passa nel paese di Kittim! Neppur quivi troverai requie.
Y dijo: No te alegrarás más, oh tú, oprimida virgen hija de Sidón. Levántate para pasar á Chîttim; y aun allí no tendrás reposo.
And he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin, daughter of Zidon: arise, pass over to Chittim; there also shalt thou have no rest.
He said, “You shall rejoice no more, you oppressed virgin daughter of Sidon. Arise, pass over to Kittim. Even there you will have no rest.”
Ecco il paese de’ Caldei, di questo popolo che già non esisteva, il paese che l’Assiro assegnò a questi abitatori del deserto. Essi innalzano le loro torri d’assedio, distruggono i palazzi di tiro, ne fanno un monte di rovine.

In quel giorno, Tiro cadrà nell’oblìo per settant’anni, per la durata della vita d’un re. In capo a settant’anni, avverrò di Tiro quel che dice la canzone della meretrice:
Y acontecerá en aquel día, que Tiro será puesta en olvido por setenta años, como días de un rey. Después de los setenta años, cantará Tiro canción como de ramera.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.
It will come to pass in that day that Tyre will be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king. After the end of seventy years it will be to Tyre like in the song of the prostitute.
Prendi la cetra, va’ attorno per la città, o meretrice dimenticata, suona bene, moltiplica i canti, perché qualcuno si ricordi di te.
Toma arpa, y rodea la ciudad, oh ramera olvidada: haz buena melodía, reitera la canción, porque tornes en memoria.

E in capo a settant’anni, l’Eterno visiterà Tiro, ed essa tornerà ai suoi guadagni, e si prostituirà con tutti i regni del mondo sulla faccia della terra.
Y acontecerá, que al fin de los setenta años visitará Jehová á Tiro: y tornaráse á su ganancia, y otra vez fornicará con todos los reinos de la tierra sobre la haz de la tierra.
And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
It will happen after the end of seventy years that the LORD will visit Tyre. She will return to her wages, and will play the prostitute with all the kingdoms of the world on the surface of the earth.
Ma i suoi guadagni e i suoi salari impuri saran consacrati all’Eterno, non saranno accumulati né riposti; poiché i suoi guadagni andranno a quelli che stanno nel cospetto dell’Eterno, perché mangino, si sazino, e si vestano d’abiti sontuosi.
Mas su negociación y su ganancia será consagrada á Jehová: no se guardará ni se atesorará, porque su negociación será para los que estuvieren delante de Jehová, para que coman hasta hartarse, y vistan honradamente.
And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.
