Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!

Voici venir, violent et impétueux, lancé par l'Eternel comme l'irruption de la grêle, un ouragan meurtrier; comme l'irruption de grandes eaux qui submergent tout, il le fait peser sur le sol avec puissance.
He aquí Jehová tiene un fuerte y poderoso: como turbión de granizo y como torbellino trastornador; como ímpetu de recias aguas que inundan, con fuerza derriba á tierra.
Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
Behold, the Lord has one who is mighty and strong. Like a storm of hail, a destroying storm, and like a storm of mighty waters overflowing, he will cast them down to the earth with his hand.

The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:

et il adviendra de ce diadème flétri qui pare son orgueil, qui couronne sa tête brillante de parfums, comme d'une primeur avant l'été, laquelle, à peine aperçue, à peine dans la main, est déjà dévorée.
Y será la flor caduca de la hermosura de su gloria que está sobre la cabeza del valle fértil, como la fruta temprana, la primera del verano, la cual, en viéndola el que la mira, se la traga tan luego como la tiene á mano.
And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.

En ce jour, l'Eternel-Cebaot sera une couronne de gloire et un splendide diadème pour le reste de son peuple,

In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,

But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.

En effet, toutes les tables sont couvertes de vomissures et d'immondices; pas un coin n'y échappe.
Porque todas las mesas están llenas de vómito y suciedad, hasta no haber lugar limpio.
For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.

"À qui donc veut-il enseigner la science? À qui inculquer des leçons? À des enfants qui viennent d'être sevrés, de quitter la mamelle.

Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

En vérité, écoutez la parole de l'Eternel, ô gens de raillerie, vous qui dominez ce peuple dans Jérusalem.
Por tanto, varones burladores, que estáis enseñoreados sobre este pueblo que está en Jerusalem, oid la palabra de Jehová.
Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.

Vous avez dit: "Nous avons contracté une alliance- avec la mort, conclu un pacte avec le Cheol; lorsque passera le fléau dévastateur, il ne nous atteindra pas, car nous avons fait de la fraude notre abri et du mensonge notre refuge."
Porque habéis dicho: Concierto tenemos hecho con la muerte, é hicimos acuerdo con la sepultura; cuando pasare el turbión del azote, no llegará á nosotros, pues que hemos puesto nuestra acogida en la mentira, y en la falsedad nos esconderemos:
Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
“Because you have said, ‘We have made a covenant with death, and we are in agreement with Sheol. When the overflowing scourge passes through, it won’t come to us; for we have made lies our refuge, and we have hidden ourselves under falsehood.’”
Mais ainsi a parlé le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Voici, je vais, dans Sion, ériger une pierre de fondation, une pierre éprouvée, une précieuse pierre d'angle solidement fixée; quiconque s'y appuiera ne sera pas réduit à fuir.

Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

Alors sera rompue votre alliance avec la mort, votre pacte avec le Cheol ne tiendra pas: lorsque s'avancera le fléau dévastateur, vous en serez écrasés.
Y será anulado vuestro concierto con la muerte, y vuestro acuerdo con el sepulcro no será firme: cuando pasare el turbión del azote, seréis de él hollados.
And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

Toutes les fois qu'il passera, il vous emportera; matin après matin il passera, le jour et la nuit, et rien que d'en percevoir le bruit sera un sujet d'épouvante.
Luego que comenzare á pasar, él os arrebatará; porque de mañana de mañana pasará, de día y de noche; y será que el espanto solamente haga entender lo oído.
From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
As often as it passes through, it will seize you; for morning by morning it will pass through, by day and by night; and it will be nothing but terror to understand the message.”
Trop courte sera la couche pour s'y étendre, et trop étroite la couverture pour s'y envelopper.
Porque la cama es tan angosta que no basta, y la cubierta estrecha para recoger.
For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.
For the bed is too short to stretch out on, and the blanket is too narrow to wrap oneself in.
Car l'Eternel se lèvera comme sur la montagne de Peracim, et il manifestera sa colère comme dans la vallée de Gabaon, pour accomplir son œuvre étrange est son œuvre, et pour exécuter son labeur extraordinaire est son labeur.
Porque Jehová se levantará como en el monte Perasim, como en el valle de Gabaón se enojará; para hacer su obra, su extraña obra, y para hacer su operación, su extraña operación.
For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
For the LORD will rise up as on Mount Perazim. He will be angry as in the valley of Gibeon; that he may do his work, his unusual work, and bring to pass his act, his extraordinary act.
Maintenant donc, trêve à vos railleries! Elles renforceraient vos chaînes; car c'est un arrêt de destruction que j'ai entendu prononcer par le Seigneur, l'Eternel-Cebaot, contre tout le pays.
Ahora pues, no os burléis, porque no se aprieten más vuestras ataduras: porque consumación y acabamiento sobre toda la tierra he oído del Señor Jehová de los ejércitos.
Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.
Now therefore don’t be scoffers, lest your bonds be made strong; for I have heard a decree of destruction from the Lord, GOD of Armies, on the whole earth.
Prêtez l'oreille et écoutez ma voix, soyez attentifs et entendez mon discours.

Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.

Le laboureur passe-t-il tout son temps à labourer en vue de semer? À fendre le sol et à promener la herse dans son champ?
El que ara para sembrar, ¿arará todo el día; romperá y quebrará los terrones de la tierra?
Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?
Does he who plows to sow plow continually? Does he keep turning the soil and breaking the clods?
N'est-ce pas? Quand il en a égalisé la surface, il y répand de la vesce, y jette du cumin, sème le froment dans les sillons, l'orge aux endroits désignés et l'épeautre sur les bords.
Después que hubiere igualado su superficie, ¿no derramará la neguilla, sembrará el comino, pondrá el trigo por su orden, y la cebada en su señal, y la avena en su término?
When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place?
When he has leveled its surface, doesn’t he plant the dill, and scatter the cumin seed, and put in the wheat in rows, the barley in the appointed place, and the spelt in its place?
C'est son Dieu qui lui a enseigné la règle à suivre, c'est lui qui l'a instruit.
Porque su Dios le instruye, y le enseña á juicio;
For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.
For his God instructs him in right judgment and teaches him.
De même ce n'est pas avec le rouleau tranchant que la vesce est battue, ce n'est pas la roue du chariot qu'on fait passer sur le cumin: la vesce est battue avec le bâton et le cumin avec la verge.
Que la neguilla no se trillará con trillo, ni sobre el comino rodará rueda de carreta; sino que con un palo se sacude la neguilla, y el comino con una vara.
For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.
For the dill isn’t threshed with a sharp instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned over the cumin; but the dill is beaten out with a stick, and the cumin with a rod.
Mais le blé dont on fait le pain doit être écrasé; il ne sert de rien de le battre indéfiniment, d'y faire passer avec force les roues du chariot et les chevaux, ce qui ne le réduit pas en poussière.
El pan se trilla; mas no siempre lo trillará, ni lo comprimirá con la rueda de su carreta, ni lo quebrantará con los dientes de su trillo.
Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.
Bread flour must be ground; so he will not always be threshing it. Although he drives the wheel of his threshing cart over it, his horses don’t grind it.
Cela aussi émane de l'Eternel-Cebaot: il conçoit des desseins merveilleux et déploie une haute sagesse.
También esto salió de Jehová de los ejércitos, para hacer maravilloso el consejo y engrandecer la sabiduría.
This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.
This also comes out from the LORD of Armies, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.
