1Dies ist's, das Jesaja, der Sohn des Amoz, sah von Juda und Jerusalem:
2Es wird zur letzten Zeit der Berg, da des HERRN Haus ist, fest stehen, höher denn alle Berge, und über alle Hügel erhaben werden, und werden alle Heiden dazu laufen
3und viele Völker hingehen und sagen: Kommt, laßt uns auf den Berg des HERRN gehen, zum Hause des Gottes Jakobs, daß er uns lehre seine Wege und wir wandeln auf seinen Steigen! Denn von Zion wird das Gesetz ausgehen, und des HERRN Wort von Jerusalem.
4Und er wird richten unter den Heiden und strafen viele Völker. Da werden sie ihre Schwerter zu Pflugscharen und ihre Spieße zu Sicheln machen. Denn es wird kein Volk gegen das andere ein Schwert aufheben, und werden hinfort nicht mehr kriegen lernen.
5Kommt nun, ihr vom Hause Jakob, laßt uns wandeln im Lichte des HERRN!
6Aber du hast dein Volk, das Haus Jakob, lassen fahren; denn sie treibens mehr als die gegen den Aufgang und sind Tagewähler wie die Philister und hängen sich an die Kinder der Fremden.
7Ihr Land ist voll Silber und Gold, und ihrer Schätze ist kein Ende; ihr Land ist voll Rosse, und ihrer Wagen ist kein Ende.
8Auch ist ihr Land voll Götzen; sie beten an ihrer Hände Werk, das ihre Finger gemacht haben.
9Da bückt sich der Pöbel, da demütigen sich die Herren. Das wirst du ihnen nicht vergeben.
10Gehe in den Felsen und verbirg dich in der Erde vor der Furcht des HERRN und vor seiner herrlichen Majestät.
11Denn alle hohen Augen werden erniedrigt werden, und die hohe Männer sind, werden sich bücken müssen; der HERR aber wird allein hoch sein zu der Zeit.
12Denn der Tag des HERRN Zebaoth wird gehen über alles Hoffärtige und Hohe und über alles Erhabene, daß es erniedrigt werde;
13auch über alle hohen und erhabenen Zedern auf dem Libanon und über alle Eichen in Basan;
14über alle hohen Berge und über alle erhabenen Hügel;
15über alle hohen Türme und über alle festen Mauern;
16über alle Schiffe im Meer und über alle köstliche Arbeit:
17daß sich bücken muß alle Höhe der Menschen und sich demütigen müssen, die hohe Männer sind, und der HERR allein hoch sei zu der Zeit.
18Und mit den Götzen wird's ganz aus sein.
19Da wird man in der Felsen Höhlen gehen und in der Erde Klüfte vor der Furcht des HERRN und vor seiner herrlichen Majestät, wenn er sich aufmachen wird, zu schrecken die Erde.
20Zu der Zeit wird jedermann wegwerfen seine silbernen und goldenen Götzen, die er sich hat machen lassen, anzubeten, in die Löcher der Maulwürfe und der Fledermäuse,
21auf daß er möge in die Steinritzen und Felsklüfte kriechen vor der Furcht des HERRN und vor seiner herrlichen Majestät, wenn er sich aufmachen wird, zu schrecken die Erde.
22So lasset nun ab von dem Menschen, der Odem in der Nase hat; denn für was ist er zu achten?

1LO que vió Isaías, hijo de Amoz, tocante á Judá y á Jerusalem.
2Y acontecerá en lo postrero de los tiempos, que será confirmado el monte de la casa de Jehová por cabeza de los montes, y será ensalzado sobre los collados, y correrán á él todas las gentes.
3Y vendrán muchos pueblos, y dirán: Venid, y subamos al monte de Jehová, á la casa del Dios de Jacob; y nos enseñará en sus caminos, y caminaremos por sus sendas. Porque de Sión saldrá la ley, y de Jerusalem la palabra de Jehová.
4Y juzgará entre las gentes, y reprenderá á muchos pueblos; y volverán sus espadas en rejas de arado, y sus lanzas en hoces: no alzará espada gente contra gente, ni se ensayarán más para la guerra.
5Venid, oh casa de Jacob, y caminemos á la luz de Jehová.
6Ciertamente tú has dejado tu pueblo, la casa de Jacob, porque son henchidos de oriente, y de agoreros, como los Filisteos; y en hijos ajenos descansan.
7Su tierra está llena de plata y oro, sus tesoros no tienen fin. También está su tierra llena de caballos; ni sus carros tienen número.
8Además está su tierra llena de ídolos, y á la obra de sus manos se han arrodillado, á lo que fabricaron sus dedos.
9Y hase inclinado el hombre, y el varón se ha humillado: por tanto no los perdonarás.
10Métete en la piedra, escóndete en el polvo, de la presencia espantosa de Jehová y del resplandor de su majestad.
11La altivez de los ojos del hombre será abatida, y la soberbia de los hombres será humillada; y Jehová solo será ensalzado en aquel día.
12Porque día de Jehová de los ejércitos vendrá sobre todo soberbio y altivo, y sobre todo ensalzado; y será abatido:
13Y sobre todos los cedros del Líbano altos y sublimes, y sobre todos los alcornoques de Basán;
14Y sobre todos los montes altos, y sobre todos los collados levantados;
15Y sobre toda torre alta, y sobre todo muro fuerte;
16Y sobre todas las naves de Tarsis, y sobre todas pinturas preciadas.
17Y la altivez del hombre será abatida, y la soberbia de los hombres será humillada; y solo Jehová será ensalzado en aquel día.
18Y quitará totalmente los ídolos.
19Y meteránse en las cavernas de las peñas, y en las aberturas de la tierra, por la presencia espantosa de Jehová, y por el resplandor de su majestad, cuando se levantare él para herir la tierra.
20Aquel día arrojará el hombre, á los topos y murciélagos, sus ídolos de plata y sus ídolos de oro, que le hicieron para que adorase;
21Y se entrarán en las hendiduras de las rocas y en las cavernas de las peñas, por la presencia formidable de Jehová, y por el resplandor de su majestad, cuando se levantare para herir la tierra.
22Dejaos del hombre, cuyo hálito está en su nariz; porque ¿de qué es él estimado?

1The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
3And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
4And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
5O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
6Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.
7Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:
8Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
9And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.
10Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.
11The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
12For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
13And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,
14And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,
15And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,
16And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.
17And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
18And the idols he shall utterly abolish.
19And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
20In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
21To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
22Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

1This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2It shall happen in the latter days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.
3Many peoples shall go and say, “Come, let’s go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the law shall go out of Zion, and the LORD’s word from Jerusalem.
4He will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning many peoples. They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
5House of Jacob, come, and let’s walk in the light of the LORD.
6For you have forsaken your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled from the east, with those who practice divination like the Philistines, and they clasp hands with the children of foreigners.
7Their land is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures. Their land also is full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots.
8Their land also is full of idols. They worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.
9Man is brought low, and mankind is humbled; therefore don’t forgive them.
10Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of his majesty.
11The lofty looks of man will be brought low, the arrogance of men will be bowed down, and the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.
12For there will be a day of the LORD of Armies for all that is proud and arrogant, and for all that is lifted up, and it shall be brought low—
13for all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, for all the oaks of Bashan,
14for all the high mountains, for all the hills that are lifted up,
15for every lofty tower, for every fortified wall,
16for all the ships of Tarshish, and for all pleasant imagery.
17The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the arrogance of men shall be brought low; and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
18The idols shall utterly pass away.
19Men shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.
20In that day, men shall cast away their idols of silver and their idols of gold, which have been made for themselves to worship, to the moles and to the bats,
21to go into the caverns of the rocks, and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.
22Stop trusting in man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for of what account is he?
