LO que vió Isaías, hijo de Amoz, tocante á Judá y á Jerusalem.

En los días finales Jerusalén y el templo del Señor se convertirán en la mayor atracción del mundo, y gente de muchas tierras acudirá a adorar al Señor.
Y acontecerá en lo postrero de los tiempos, que será confirmado el monte de la casa de Jehová por cabeza de los montes, y será ensalzado sobre los collados, y correrán á él todas las gentes.
And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

«Vamos», dirán todos, «subamos al monte del Señor, al templo del Dios de Israel; allí nos enseñará él sus leyes, y las obedeceremos». Porque en aquellos días el mundo será gobernado desde Jerusalén.
Y vendrán muchos pueblos, y dirán: Venid, y subamos al monte de Jehová, á la casa del Dios de Jacob; y nos enseñará en sus caminos, y caminaremos por sus sendas. Porque de Sión saldrá la ley, y de Jerusalem la palabra de Jehová.
And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

El Señor zanjará las disputas internacionales, todas las naciones transformarán las armas de guerra en herramientas de paz, por fin cesarán las guerras y terminará el adiestramiento militar.
Y juzgará entre las gentes, y reprenderá á muchos pueblos; y volverán sus espadas en rejas de arado, y sus lanzas en hoces: no alzará espada gente contra gente, ni se ensayarán más para la guerra.
And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

El Señor los ha rechazado porque dieron cabida a extranjeros del oriente que practican la magia y se comunican con los malos espíritus, como hacen los filisteos.
Ciertamente tú has dejado tu pueblo, la casa de Jacob, porque son henchidos de oriente, y de agoreros, como los Filisteos; y en hijos ajenos descansan.
Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.
For you have forsaken your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled from the east, with those who practice divination like the Philistines, and they clasp hands with the children of foreigners.
Israel posee grandes tesoros de oro y plata y gran cantidad de caballos y carros.
Su tierra está llena de plata y oro, sus tesoros no tienen fin. También está su tierra llena de caballos; ni sus carros tienen número.

porque el día viene en que sus altivas miradas serán humilladas; sólo el Señor será exaltado.

The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

En aquel día el Señor Todopoderoso marchará contra los orgullosos y altivos y los humillará hasta que estén postrados en el polvo.
Porque día de Jehová de los ejércitos vendrá sobre todo soberbio y altivo, y sobre todo ensalzado; y será abatido:

Toda la gloria de la humanidad se humillará; los orgullosos yacerán en el polvo, y sólo el Señor será exaltado.

Todos los ídolos serán abolidos y destruidos por completo.

Cuando el Señor se levante de su trono para sacudir la tierra, sus enemigos irán arrastrándose temerosos a los agujeros de las rocas y a las cuevas, huyendo de la gloria de su majestad.
Y meteránse en las cavernas de las peñas, y en las aberturas de la tierra, por la presencia espantosa de Jehová, y por el resplandor de su majestad, cuando se levantare él para herir la tierra.
And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

Por fin abandonarán sus ídolos de oro y plata a los topos y a los murciélagos,

y se arrastrarán a las cavernas para ocultarse entre ásperas rocas en lo alto de los riscos, tratando de escapar del espanto que el Señor provoca y de la gloria de su majestad cuando él se alce para castigar la tierra.
Y se entrarán en las hendiduras de las rocas y en las cavernas de las peñas, por la presencia formidable de Jehová, y por el resplandor de su majestad, cuando se levantare para herir la tierra.
To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

¡Mezquino es el ser humano! ¡Frágil como su aliento! ¡Jamás confíen en él!
Dejaos del hombre, cuyo hálito está en su nariz; porque ¿de qué es él estimado?
Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
Stop trusting in man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for of what account is he?
