And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters’ vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.

Poiché così avea detto il Signore, l’Eterno, il Santo d’Israele: Nel tornare a me e nel tenervi in riposo starà la vostra salvezza; nella calma e nella fiducia starà la vostra forza; ma voi non l’avete voluto!

Perciò l’Eterno aspetterà onde farvi grazia, poi si leverà per aver compassione di voi; poiché l’Eterno è un Dio di giustizia. Beati tutti quelli che sperano in lui!
Empero Jehová esperará para tener piedad de vosotros, y por tanto será ensalzado teniendo de vosotros misericordia: porque Jehová es Dios de juicio: bienaventurados todos los que le esperan.
And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.

E il Signore vi darà, sì, del pane d’angoscia e dell’acqua d’oppressione, ma quei che t’ammaestrano non dovran più nascondersi; e i tuoi occhi vedranno chi t’ammaestra;

e quando andrete a destra o quando andrete a sinistra, le tue orecchie udranno dietro a te una voce che dirà: “Questa è la via; camminate per essa!”
Entonces tus oídos oirán á tus espaldas palabra que diga: Este es el camino, andad por él; y no echéis á la mano derecha, ni tampoco torzáis á la mano izquierda.
And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
and when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way. Walk in it.”
E considererete come cose contaminate le vostre immagini scolpite ricoperte d’argento, e le vostre immagini fuse rivestite d’oro; le getterete vie come una cosa impura, “Fuori di qui” direte loro!
Entonces profanarás la cobertura de tus esculturas de plata, y la vestidura de tu vaciadizo de oro: las apartarás como trapo de menstruo: ¡Sal fuera! les dirás.

La luce della luna sarà come la luce del sole, e la luce del sole sarà sette volte più viva, come la luce di sette giorni assieme, nel giorno che l’Eterno fascerà la ferita del suo popolo e guarirà la piaga da lui fatta con le sue percosse.
Y la luz de la luna será como la luz del sol, y la luz del sol siete veces mayor, como la luz de siete días, el día que soldará Jehová la quebradura de su pueblo, y curará la llaga de su herida.

il suo fiato è come un torrente che straripa, che arriva fino al collo. Ei viene a vagliar le nazioni col vaglio della distruzione, e a metter, tra le mascelle dei popoli, un freno che li faccia fuorviare.
Y su aliento, cual torrente que inunda: llegará hasta el cuello, para zarandear las gentes con criba de destrucción; y el freno estará en las quijadas de los pueblos, haciéndoles errar.
And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to err.
His breath is as an overflowing stream that reaches even to the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of destruction. A bridle that leads to ruin will be in the jaws of the peoples.
Allora intonerete de’ canti, come la notte quando si celebra una festa; e avrete la gioia nel cuore, come colui che cammina al suon del flauto per andare al monte dell’Eterno, alla Roccia d’Israele.
Vosotros tendréis canción, como en noche en que se celebra pascua; y alegría de corazón, como el que va con flauta para venir al monte de Jehová, al Fuerte de Israel.
Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.

E l’Eterno farà udire la sua voce maestosa, e mostrerà come colpisce col suo braccio nel suo furore della sua ira, tra le fiamme d’un fuoco divorante, in mezzo alla tempesta, a un diluvio di pioggia, a una gragnuola di sassi.
Y Jehová hará oir su voz potente, y hará ver el descender de su brazo, con furor de rostro, y llama de fuego consumidor; con dispersión, con avenida, y piedra de granizo.

And in every place where the grounded staff shall pass, which the LORD shall lay upon him, it shall be with tabrets and harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with it.
Every stroke of the rod of punishment, which the LORD will lay on him, will be with the sound of tambourines and harps. He will fight with them in battles, brandishing weapons.

For his burning place has long been ready. Yes, it is prepared for the king. He has made its pyre deep and large with fire and much wood. The LORD’s breath, like a stream of sulfur, kindles it.
