1Siehe, ein König wird regieren in Gerechtigkeit; und die Fürsten, sie werden nach Recht herrschen.
2Und ein Mann wird sein wie ein Bergungsort vor dem Winde und ein Schutz vor dem Regensturm, wie Wasserbäche in dürrer Gegend, wie der Schatten eines gewaltigen Felsens in lechzendem Lande.
3Und die Augen der Sehenden werden nicht mehr verklebt sein, und die Ohren der Hörenden werden aufmerken;
4und das Herz der Unbesonnenen wird Erkenntnis erlangen, und die Zunge der Stammelnden wird fertig und deutlich reden.
5Der gemeine Mensch wird nicht mehr edel genannt und der Arglistige nicht mehr vornehm geheißen werden.
6Denn ein gemeiner Mensch redet Gemeinheit; und sein Herz geht mit Frevel um, um Ruchlosigkeit zu verüben und Irrtum zu reden wider Jehova, um leer zu lassen die Seele des Hungrigen und dem Durstigen den Trank zu entziehen.
7Und der Arglistige, seine Werkzeuge sind böse: er entwirft böse Anschläge, um die Sanftmütigen durch Lügenreden zu Grunde zu richten, selbst wenn der Arme sein Recht dartut.
8Aber der Edle entwirft Edles, und auf Edlem besteht er.
9Stehet auf, ihr sorglosen Weiber, höret meine Stimme! Ihr sicheren Töchter, nehmet zu Ohren meine Rede!
10Nach Jahr und Tag werdet ihr zittern, ihr Sicheren; denn die Weinlese ist dahin, die Obsternte kommt nicht.
11Bebet, ihr Sorglosen; zittert, ihr Sicheren! Ziehet euch aus und entblößet euch und umgürtet mit Sacktuch die Lenden!
12An die Brust schlägt man sich wegen der lieblichen Fluren, wegen des fruchtbaren Weinstocks.
13Auf dem Felde meines Volkes schießen Gestrüpp und Dornen auf, ja, auf allen Häusern der Wonne in der frohlockenden Stadt.
14Denn der Palast ist aufgegeben, verlassen das Getümmel der Stadt; Ophel und Wartturm dienen zu Höhlen auf ewig, zur Freude der Wildesel, zum Weideplatz der Herden-
15bis der Geist über uns ausgegossen wird aus der Höhe, und die Wüste zum Fruchtgefilde wird, und das Fruchtgefilde dem Walde gleichgeachtet wird.
16Und das Recht wird sich niederlassen in der Wüste, und die Gerechtigkeit auf dem Fruchtgefilde wohnen;
17und das Werk der Gerechtigkeit wird Friede sein, und der Ertrag der Gerechtigkeit Ruhe und Sicherheit ewiglich.
18Und mein Volk wird wohnen an einer Wohnstätte des Friedens und in sicheren Wohnungen und an stillen Ruhestätten. -
19Und es wird hageln beim Niedersturz des Waldes, und die Stadt wird in Niedrigkeit versinken. -
20Glückselig ihr, die ihr an allen Wassern säet, frei umherschweifen lasset den Fuß der Rinder und der Esel!

1HE aquí que en justicia reinará un rey, y príncipes presidirán en juicio.
2Y será aquel varón como escondedero contra el viento, y como acogida contra el turbión; como arroyos de aguas en tierra de sequedad, como sombra de gran peñasco en tierra calurosa.
3No se ofuscarán entonces los ojos de los que ven, y los oídos de los oyentes oirán atentos.
4Y el corazón de los necios entenderá para saber, y la lengua de los tartamudos será desenvuelta para hablar claramente.
5El mezquino nunca más será llamado liberal, ni será dicho generoso el avariento.
6Porque el mezquino hablará mezquindades, y su corazón fabricará iniquidad, para hacer la impiedad y para hablar escarnio contra Jehová, dejando vacía el alma hambrienta, y quitando la bebida al sediento.
7Cierto los avaros malas medidas tienen: él maquina pensamientos para enredar á los simples con palabras cautelosas, y para hablar en juicio contra el pobre.
8Mas el liberal pensará liberalidades, y por liberalidades subirá.
9Mujeres reposadas, levantaos, oid mi voz; confiadas, escuchad mi razón.
10Días y años tendréis espanto, oh confiadas; porque la vendimia faltará, y la cosecha no acudirá.
11Temblad, oh reposadas; turbaos, oh confiadas: despojaos, desnudaos, ceñid los lomos con saco.
12Sobre los pechos lamentarán por los campos deleitosos, por la vid fértil.
13Sobre la tierra de mi pueblo subirán espinas y cardos; y aun sobre todas las casas de placer en la ciudad de alegría.
14Porque los palacios serán desiertos, la multitud de la ciudad cesará: las torres y fortalezas se tornarán cuevas para siempre, donde huelguen asnos monteses, y ganados hagan majada:
15Hasta que sobre nosotros sea derramado espíritu de lo alto, y el desierto se torne en campo labrado, y el campo labrado sea estimado por bosque.
16Y habitará el juicio en el desierto, y en el campo labrado asentará la justicia.
17Y el efecto de la justicia será paz; y la labor de justicia, reposo y seguridad para siempre.
18Y mi pueblo habitará en morada de paz, y en habitaciones seguras, y en recreos de reposo.
19Y el granizo, cuando descendiere, será en los montes; y la ciudad será del todo abatida.
20Dichosos vosotros los que sembráis sobre todas aguas, y metéis en ellas el pie de buey y de asno.

1Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.
2And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
3And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.
4The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
5The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.
6For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
7The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.
8But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.
9Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.
10Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.
11Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.
12They shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.
13Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city:
14Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;
15Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
16Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.
17And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
18And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;
19When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.
20Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass.

1Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice.
2A man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a large rock in a weary land.
3The eyes of those who see will not be dim, and the ears of those who hear will listen.
4The heart of the rash will understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers will be ready to speak plainly.
5The fool will no longer be called noble, nor the scoundrel be highly respected.
6For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice profanity, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
7The ways of the scoundrel are evil. He devises wicked plans to destroy the humble with lying words, even when the needy speaks right.
8But the noble devises noble things, and he will continue in noble things.
9Rise up, you women who are at ease! Hear my voice! You careless daughters, give ear to my speech!
10For days beyond a year you will be troubled, you careless women; for the vintage will fail. The harvest won’t come.
11Tremble, you women who are at ease! Be troubled, you careless ones! Strip yourselves, make yourselves naked, and put sackcloth on your waist.
12Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.
13Thorns and briers will come up on my people’s land; yes, on all the houses of joy in the joyous city.
14For the palace will be forsaken. The populous city will be deserted. The hill and the watchtower will be for dens forever, a delight for wild donkeys, a pasture of flocks,
15until the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is considered a forest.
16Then justice will dwell in the wilderness; and righteousness will remain in the fruitful field.
17The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.
18My people will live in a peaceful habitation, in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting places,
19though hail flattens the forest, and the city is leveled completely.
20Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who send out the feet of the ox and the donkey.
