Isaías 32

1¡Cuidado! Viene un rey que hace lo correcto cuando gobierna, y los que gobiernan bajo él actuarán con justicia.
2Cada uno de ellos será como un refugio contra el viento, como una protección contra la tormenta, como ríos de agua en el desierto seco, como la sombra de una gran roca en un lugar calcinado por el sol.
3Entonces todo el que tenga ojos podrá ver de verdad, y todo el que tenga oídos podrá oír de verdad.
4Los impulsivos serán sensatos y reflexionarán; los tartamudos hablarán con claridad.
5Ya no se llamará a los tontos respetables ni a los sinvergüenzas muy apreciados.
6Porque los necios sólo dicen tonterías, pensando cosas malas. Actúan en contra del Señor, tergiversando lo que dicen. Se niegan a dar de comer al hambriento y niegan el agua al sediento.
7Los tramposos emplean métodos perversos; idean planes para arruinar a los pobres con mentiras, incluso cuando la razón está del lado de los pobres.
8Pero las personas nobles actúan desinteresadamente; mantienen sus principios de generosidad.
9¡Levántense, mujeres que andan relajadas, y presten atención a lo que digo! Ustedes, señoras sin preocupaciones, ¡escúchenme!
10Dentro de poco, ustedes, que se creen tan seguras, temblarán de miedo. La vendimia va a fracasar y no habrá cosecha.
11¡Tiemblen, mujeres que viven con tranquilidad! ¡Tiemblen ustedes las que creen estar seguras! Despójense de sus ropas, desnúdense y pónganse un saco alrededor de la cintura.
12Golpeen sus pechos con tristeza por la pérdida de sus hermosos campos, de sus viñas fértiles,
13por la pérdida de la tierra de mi pueblo. Lloren porque ahora está cubierta de espinas y zarzas, lloren por la pérdida de todos los hogares felices y las ciudades alegres.
14El palacio está abandonado, la ciudad abarrotada está desierta. Los castillos y las torres de vigilancia se convertirán para siempre en hogares amados por los asnos salvajes, y en lugares donde pastan las ovejas,
15hasta que el Espíritu sea derramado sobre nosotros desde lo alto, y el desierto se convierta en un buen campo lleno de cosechas, y el buen campo crezca como un bosque.
16Entonces los que vivan en el desierto practicarán la justicia, y los que vivan entre los campos harán lo recto.
17Vivir correctamente traerá paz y seguridad duraderas.
18Mi pueblo vivirá en paz, seguro y protegido en sus hogares.
19Aunque el granizo puede destruir un bosque y una ciudad puede ser demolida,
20serás feliz mientras siembras tus cosechas junto a las aguas y dejas que tu ganado y tus burros anden libremente.

1HE aquí que en justicia reinará un rey, y príncipes presidirán en juicio.
2Y será aquel varón como escondedero contra el viento, y como acogida contra el turbión; como arroyos de aguas en tierra de sequedad, como sombra de gran peñasco en tierra calurosa.
3No se ofuscarán entonces los ojos de los que ven, y los oídos de los oyentes oirán atentos.
4Y el corazón de los necios entenderá para saber, y la lengua de los tartamudos será desenvuelta para hablar claramente.
5El mezquino nunca más será llamado liberal, ni será dicho generoso el avariento.
6Porque el mezquino hablará mezquindades, y su corazón fabricará iniquidad, para hacer la impiedad y para hablar escarnio contra Jehová, dejando vacía el alma hambrienta, y quitando la bebida al sediento.
7Cierto los avaros malas medidas tienen: él maquina pensamientos para enredar á los simples con palabras cautelosas, y para hablar en juicio contra el pobre.
8Mas el liberal pensará liberalidades, y por liberalidades subirá.
9Mujeres reposadas, levantaos, oid mi voz; confiadas, escuchad mi razón.
10Días y años tendréis espanto, oh confiadas; porque la vendimia faltará, y la cosecha no acudirá.
11Temblad, oh reposadas; turbaos, oh confiadas: despojaos, desnudaos, ceñid los lomos con saco.
12Sobre los pechos lamentarán por los campos deleitosos, por la vid fértil.
13Sobre la tierra de mi pueblo subirán espinas y cardos; y aun sobre todas las casas de placer en la ciudad de alegría.
14Porque los palacios serán desiertos, la multitud de la ciudad cesará: las torres y fortalezas se tornarán cuevas para siempre, donde huelguen asnos monteses, y ganados hagan majada:
15Hasta que sobre nosotros sea derramado espíritu de lo alto, y el desierto se torne en campo labrado, y el campo labrado sea estimado por bosque.
16Y habitará el juicio en el desierto, y en el campo labrado asentará la justicia.
17Y el efecto de la justicia será paz; y la labor de justicia, reposo y seguridad para siempre.
18Y mi pueblo habitará en morada de paz, y en habitaciones seguras, y en recreos de reposo.
19Y el granizo, cuando descendiere, será en los montes; y la ciudad será del todo abatida.
20Dichosos vosotros los que sembráis sobre todas aguas, y metéis en ellas el pie de buey y de asno.

1Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.
2And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
3And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.
4The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
5The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.
6For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
7The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.
8But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.
9Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.
10Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.
11Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.
12They shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.
13Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city:
14Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;
15Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
16Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.
17And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
18And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;
19When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.
20Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass.

1Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice.
2A man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a large rock in a weary land.
3The eyes of those who see will not be dim, and the ears of those who hear will listen.
4The heart of the rash will understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers will be ready to speak plainly.
5The fool will no longer be called noble, nor the scoundrel be highly respected.
6For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice profanity, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
7The ways of the scoundrel are evil. He devises wicked plans to destroy the humble with lying words, even when the needy speaks right.
8But the noble devises noble things, and he will continue in noble things.
9Rise up, you women who are at ease! Hear my voice! You careless daughters, give ear to my speech!
10For days beyond a year you will be troubled, you careless women; for the vintage will fail. The harvest won’t come.
11Tremble, you women who are at ease! Be troubled, you careless ones! Strip yourselves, make yourselves naked, and put sackcloth on your waist.
12Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.
13Thorns and briers will come up on my people’s land; yes, on all the houses of joy in the joyous city.
14For the palace will be forsaken. The populous city will be deserted. The hill and the watchtower will be for dens forever, a delight for wild donkeys, a pasture of flocks,
15until the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is considered a forest.
16Then justice will dwell in the wilderness; and righteousness will remain in the fruitful field.
17The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.
18My people will live in a peaceful habitation, in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting places,
19though hail flattens the forest, and the city is leveled completely.
20Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who send out the feet of the ox and the donkey.
