1Hasta los páramos y el desierto se regocijarán en aquellos días. Incluso, el desierto florecerá.
2Sí, habrá abundancia de flores, cánticos y júbilo. Los desiertos se volverán verdes como los montes del Líbano, hermosos como los pastos del monte Carmelo y los prados de Sarón, porque allí exhibirá el Señor su gloria, se apreciará la excelencia de nuestro Dios.
3Alegra con estas noticias a todos los descorazonados,
4alienta a los atemorizados. Diles: «Sean valientes, no teman, porque su Dios viene para destruir a sus enemigos, viene a salvarlos».
5Y cuando él venga abrirá los ojos de los ciegos y los oídos de los sordos,
6los cojos saltarán como el ciervo y los mudos gritarán y cantarán. Entonces brotarán fuentes en los páramos y arroyos en el desierto,
7los terrenos resecos se convertirán en estanques, con arroyos en la tierra sedienta. Donde habitaban los chacales del desierto, habrá carrizos y cañas.
8Y un gran camino atravesará lo que fue desierto, se le llamará «Camino Santo». Ningún hombre de corazón perverso podrá andar por él. Por él andará Dios con ustedes; ni el más torpe se extraviará.
9No habrá en él leones en acecho, ni algún otro peligro, solamente los salvados pasarán por allí.
10Estos redimidos del Señor irán por ese camino a su hogar, a Sion, entonando cánticos de júbilo eterno. Nunca más habrá para ellos dolor ni suspiros. Allí sólo habrá felicidad y gozo.

1ALEGRARSE han el desierto y la soledad: el yermo se gozará, y florecerá como la rosa.
2Florecerá profusamente, y también se alegrará y cantará con júbilo: la gloria del Líbano le será dada, la hermosura de Carmel y de Sarón. Ellos verán la gloria de Jehová, la hermosura del Dios nuestro.
3Confortad á las manos cansadas, roborad las vacilantes rodillas.
4Decid á los de corazón apocado: Confortaos, no temáis: he aquí que vuestro Dios viene con venganza, con pago; el mismo Dios vendrá, y os salvará.
5Entonces los ojos de los ciegos serán abiertos, y los oídos de los sordos se abrirán.
6Entonces el cojo saltará como un ciervo, y cantará la lengua del mudo; porque aguas serán cavadas en el desierto, y torrentes en la soledad.
7El lugar seco será tornado en estanque, y el secadal en manaderos de aguas; en la habitación de chacales, en su cama, será lugar de cañas y de juncos.
8Y habrá allí calzada y camino, y será llamado Camino de Santidad; no pasará por él inmundo; y habrá para ellos en él quien los acompañe, de tal manera que los insensatos no yerren.
9No habrá allí león, ni bestia fiera subirá por él, ni allí se hallará, para que caminen los redimidos.
10Y los redimidos de Jehová volverán, y vendrán á Sión con alegría; y gozo perpetuo será sobre sus cabezas: y retendrán el gozo y alegría, y huirá la tristeza y el gemido.

1The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
2It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.
3Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
4Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
5Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
7And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
8And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
9No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
10And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
World English Bible
1The wilderness and the dry land will be glad. The desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose.
2It will blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing. Lebanon’s glory will be given to it, the excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the LORD’s glory, the excellence of our God.
3Strengthen the weak hands, and make the feeble knees firm.
4Tell those who have a fearful heart, “Be strong! Don’t be afraid! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, God’s retribution. He will come and save you.
5Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped.
6Then the lame man will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing; for waters will break out in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.
7The burning sand will become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water. Grass with reeds and rushes will be in the habitation of jackals, where they lay.
8A highway will be there, a road, and it will be called “The Holy Way”. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it will be for those who walk in the Way. Wicked fools shall not go there.
9No lion will be there, nor will any ravenous animal go up on it. They will not be found there; but the redeemed will walk there.
10Then the LORD’s ransomed ones will return, and come with singing to Zion; and everlasting joy will be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.”
