Isaías 36

Or il arriva la quatorzième année du Roi Ezéchias, que Sennachérib, Roi des Assyriens, monta contre toutes les villes closes de Juda, et les prit.

ACONTECIÓ en el año catorce del rey Ezechîas, que Sennachêrib rey de Asiria subió contra todas las ciudades fuertes de Judá, y tomólas.

Now it came to pass in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, that Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the defenced cities of Judah, and took them.

Now in the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib king of Assyria attacked all of the fortified cities of Judah and captured them.

Puis le roi des Assyriens envoya Rabsaké avec de grandes forces de Lachis à Jérusalem, vers le roi Ezéchias, et il se présenta près du conduit du haut étang, au grand chemin du champ du foulon.

Y el rey de Asiria envió á Rabsaces con grande ejército desde Lachîs á Jerusalem al rey Ezechîas: y asentó el campo á los caños de la pesquera de arriba, en el camino de la heredad del Lavador.

And the king of Assyria sent Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem unto king Hezekiah with a great army. And he stood by the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s field.

The king of Assyria sent Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem to King Hezekiah with a large army. He stood by the aqueduct from the upper pool in the fuller’s field highway.

Et Eliakim, fils de Hilkija, Maître d’hôtel, et Sebna le Secrétaire, et Joab fils d’Asaph, commis sur les registres, sortirent vers lui.

Y salió á él Eliacim hijo de Hilcías mayordomo, y Sebna, escriba, y Joah hijo de Asaph, canciller.

Then came forth unto him Eliakim, Hilkiah’s son, which was over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, Asaph’s son, the recorder.

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph the recorder came out to him.

Et Rabsaké leur dit ; dites maintenant à Ezéchias ; ainsi dit le grand Roi, le Roi des Assyriens ; quelle est cette confiance que tu as ?

A los cuales dijo Rabsaces: Ahora pues, diréis á Ezechîas: El gran rey, el rey de Asiria, dice así: ¿Qué confianza es ésta en que confías?

And Rabshakeh said unto them, Say ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?

Rabshakeh said to them, “Now tell Hezekiah, ‘The great king, the king of Assyria, says, “What confidence is this in which you trust?

Je te dis que ce ne sont là que des paroles ; mais le conseil et la force sont requis à la guerre : or maintenant sur qui t’es-tu confié, que tu te sois rebellé contre moi ?

Digo, alegas tú, (empero palabras vanas) que tengo consejo y fortaleza para la guerra. Ahora bien, ¿en quién confías que te rebelas contra mí?

I say, sayest thou, (but they are but vain words) I have counsel and strength for war: now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?

I say that your counsel and strength for the war are only vain words. Now in whom do you trust, that you have rebelled against me?

Voici, tu t’es confié sur ce bâton qui n’est qu’un roseau cassé, sur l’Egypte, sur lequel si quelqu’un s’appuie, il lui entrera dans la main, et la percera ; tel est Pharaon Roi d’Egypte à tous ceux qui se confient en lui.

He aquí que confías en este bordón de caña frágil, en Egipto, sobre el cual si alguien se apoyare, entrarásele por la mano, y se la atravesará. Tal es Faraón rey de Egipto para con todos los que en él confían.

Lo, thou trustest in the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust in him.

Behold, you trust in the staff of this bruised reed, even in Egypt, which if a man leans on it, it will go into his hand and pierce it. So is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him.

Que si tu me dis ; nous nous confions en l’Eternel, notre Dieu ; n’est-ce pas celui-là même duquel Ezéchias a ôté les hauts lieux et les autels, et a dit à Juda et à Jérusalem ; vous vous prosternerez devant cet autel-ci ?

Y si me dijeres, En Jehová nuestro Dios confiamos; ¿no es éste aquel cuyos altos y cuyos altares hizo quitar Ezechîas, y dijo á Judá y á Jerusalem: Delante de este altar adoraréis?

But if thou say to me, We trust in the LORD our God: is it not he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar?

But if you tell me, ‘We trust in the LORD our God,’ isn’t that he whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has taken away, and has said to Judah and to Jerusalem, ‘You shall worship before this altar’?”

Maintenant donc donne des otages au Roi des Assyriens mon maître ; et je te donnerai deux mille chevaux, si tu peux donner autant d’hommes pour monter dessus.

Ahora pues yo te ruego que des rehenes al rey de Asiria mi señor, y yo te daré dos mil caballos, si pudieres tú dar caballeros que cabalguen sobre ellos.

Now therefore give pledges, I pray thee, to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.

Now therefore, please make a pledge to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give you two thousand horses, if you are able on your part to set riders on them.

Et comment ferais-tu tourner visage au moindre gouverneur d’entre les serviteurs de mon maître ? mais tu te confies en l’Egypte, à cause des chariots, et des gens de cheval.

¿Cómo pues harás volver el rostro de un capitán de los más pequeños siervos de mi señor, aunque estés confiado en Egipto por sus carros y hombres de á caballo?

How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

How then can you turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put your trust in Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

Mais suis-je maintenant monté sans l’Eternel contre ce pays pour le détruire ? L’Eternel m’a dit ; monte contre ce pays-là, et le détruis.

¿Y por ventura vine yo ahora á esta tierra para destruirla sin Jehová? Jehová me dijo: Sube á esta tierra para destruirla.

And am I now come up without the LORD against this land to destroy it? the LORD said unto me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.

Have I come up now without the LORD against this land to destroy it? The LORD said to me, “Go up against this land, and destroy it.”’”

Alors Eliakim, et Sebna, et Joab dirent à Rabsaké ; nous te prions de parler en langue syriaque à tes serviteurs, car nous l’entendons ; mais ne parle point à nous en langue Judaïque, pendant que le peuple, qui est sur la muraille, l’écoute.

Entonces dijo Eliacim, y Sebna y Joah á Rabsaces: Rogámoste que hables á tus siervos en lengua siriaca, porque nosotros la entendemos: y no hables con nosotros en lengua judáica, oyéndolo el pueblo que está sobre el muro.

Then said Eliakim and Shebna and Joah unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, unto thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and speak not to us in the Jews’ language, in the ears of the people that are on the wall.

Then Eliakim, Shebna and Joah said to Rabshakeh, “Please speak to your servants in Aramaic, for we understand it. Don’t speak to us in the Jews’ language in the hearing of the people who are on the wall.”

Et Rabsaké répondit ; mon maître m’a-t-il envoyé vers ton maître, ou vers toi, pour dire ces paroles-là ? ne m’a-t-il pas envoyé vers les hommes qui se tiennent sur la muraille, pour leur dire qu’ils mangeront leur propre fiente, et qu’ils boiront leur urine avec vous ?

Y dijo Rabsaces: ¿Envióme mi señor á ti y á tu señor, á que dijese estas palabras, y no á los hombres que están sobre el muro, para comer su estiércol y beber su orina con vosotros?

But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?

But Rabshakeh said, “Has my master sent me only to your master and to you, to speak these words, and not to the men who sit on the wall, who will eat their own dung and drink their own urine with you?”

Rabsaké donc se dressa, et s’écria à haute voix en langue Judaïque, et dit ; écoutez les paroles du grand Roi, le Roi des Assyriens.

Púsose luego en pie Rabsaces, y gritó á grande voz en lengua judáica, diciendo: Oid las palabras del gran rey, el rey de Asiria.

Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria.

Then Rabshakeh stood, and called out with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and said, “Hear the words of the great king, the king of Assyria!

Le Roi a dit ainsi ; qu’Ezéchias ne vous abuse point ; car il ne vous pourra pas délivrer.

El rey dice así: No os engañe Ezechîas, porque no os podrá librar.

Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you.

The king says, ‘Don’t let Hezekiah deceive you; for he will not be able to deliver you.

Et qu’Ezéchias ne vous fasse point confier en l’Eternel, en disant ; l’Eternel indubitablement nous délivrera ; cette ville ne sera point livrée entre les mains du Roi des Assyriens.

Ni os haga Ezechîas confiar en Jehová, diciendo: Ciertamente Jehová nos librará: no será entregada esta ciudad en manos del rey de Asiria.

Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us: this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Don’t let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, “The LORD will surely deliver us. This city won’t be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”’

N’écoutez point Ezéchias ; car ainsi a dit le Roi des Assyriens ; faites un accord pour votre bien avec moi, et sortez vers moi, et vous mangerez chacun de sa vigne, et chacun de son figuier, et vous boirez chacun de l’eau de sa citerne ;

No escuchéis á Ezechîas: porque el rey de Asiria dice así: Haced conmigo paz, y salid á mí; y coma cada uno de su viña, y cada uno de su higuera, y beba cada cual las aguas de su pozo;

Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me: and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his own cistern;

Don’t listen to Hezekiah, for the king of Assyria says, ‘Make your peace with me, and come out to me; and each of you eat from his vine, and each one from his fig tree, and each one of you drink the waters of his own cistern;

Jusqu’à ce que je vienne, et que je vous emmène en un pays qui est comme votre pays, un pays de froment et de bon vin, un pays de pain et de vignes.

Hasta que yo venga y os lleve á una tierra como la vuestra, tierra de grano y de vino, tierra de pan y de viñas.

Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards.

until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards.

Qu’Ezéchias donc ne vous séduise point, en disant ; L’Eternel nous délivrera. Les dieux des nations ont-ils délivré chacun leur pays de la main du Roi des Assyriens ?

Mirad no os engañe Ezechîas diciendo: Jehová nos librará. ¿Libraron los dioses de las gentes cada uno á su tierra de la mano del rey de Asiria?

Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, The LORD will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, “The LORD will deliver us.” Have any of the gods of the nations delivered their lands from the hand of the king of Assyria?

Où sont les dieux de Hamath et d’Arpad ? où sont les dieux de Sépharvajim ? et même a-t-on délivré Samarie de ma main ?

¿Dónde está el dios de Hamath y de Arphad? ¿dónde está el dios de Sepharvaim? ¿libraron á Samaria de mi mano?

Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?

Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? Have they delivered Samaria from my hand?

Qui sont ceux d’entre tous les dieux de ces pays-là qui aient délivré leur pays de ma main, pour dire que l’Eternel délivrera Jérusalem de ma main ?

¿Qué dios hay entre los dioses de estas tierras, que haya librado su tierra de mi mano, para que Jehová libre de mi mano á Jerusalem?

Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?

Who are they among all the gods of these countries that have delivered their country out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?’”

Mais ils se turent, et ne lui répondirent pas un mot ; car le Roi avait commandé, disant ; vous ne lui répondrez point.

Mas callaron, y no le respondieron palabra; porque el rey así lo había mandado, diciendo: No le respondáis.

But they held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king’s commandment was, saying, Answer him not.

But they remained silent, and said nothing in reply, for the king’s commandment was, “Don’t answer him.”

Après cela Eliakim fils de Hilkija, Maître d’hôtel et Sebna le Secrétaire, et Joab fils d’Asaph, commis sur les registres, s’en revinrent, les vêtements déchirés, vers Ezéchias, et lui rapportèrent les paroles de Rabsaké.

Entonces Eliacim hijo de Hilcías mayordomo, y Sebna escriba, y Joah hijo de Asaph canciller, vinieron á Ezechîas rotos sus vestidos, y contáronle las palabras de Rabsaces.

Then came Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, that was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph the recorder, came to Hezekiah with their clothes torn, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.
