8Entonces el enviado asirio partió de Jerusalén y fue a consultar con su rey, el cual había dejado Laquis y estaba poniéndole sitio a Libná. En esto el rey asirio recibió noticias de que Tiracá, príncipe heredero de Etiopía, venía contra él desde el sur. Al oírlo, volvió a enviar mensajeros a Ezequías a Jerusalén con este mensaje:

8Vuelto pues Rabsaces, halló al rey de Asiria que batía á Libna; porque ya había oído que se había apartado de Lachîs.
