Isaías 37

Lorsque le roi Ezéchias les eut entendus, il déchira ses vêtements, et, couvert d'un cilice, il se rendit dans la maison de Dieu.

ACONTECIÓ pues, que el rey Ezechîas, oído esto, rasgó sus vestidos, y cubierto de saco vino á la casa de Jehová.

And it came to pass, when king Hezekiah heard it, that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the LORD.

Puis il envoya Elyakim, l'intendant du palais, Chebna, le secrétaire, et les plus anciens des prêtres, enveloppés d'un cilice, auprès du prophète Isaïe, fils d'Amoç,

Y envió á Eliacim mayordomo, y á Sebna escriba, y á los ancianos de los sacerdotes, cubiertos de sacos, á Isaías profeta, hijo de Amoz.

And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.

avec ce message: "Ainsi parle Ezéchias: C'est aujourd'hui un jour d'angoisse, de châtiment et d'humiliation; les enfants sont près de naître, mais point de force pour enfanter!

Los cuales le dijeron: Ezechîas dice así: Día de angustia, de reprensión y de blasfemia, es este día: porque los hijos han llegado hasta la rotura, y no hay fuerza en la que pare.

And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.

They said to him, “Hezekiah says, ‘Today is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of rejection; for the children have come to the birth, and there is no strength to give birth.

Peut-être l'Eternel, ton Dieu, accordera-t-il son attention aux paroles de Rabchakè, envoyé par le roi d'Assyrie pour outrager le Dieu vivant, et voudra-t-il demander compte de ces paroles qu'il a entendues. Prie donc en faveur des débris qui subsistent encore."

Quizá oirá Jehová tu Dios las palabras de Rabsaces, al cual envió el rey de Asiria su señor á blasfemar al Dios vivo, y á reprender con las palabras que oyó Jehová tu Dios: alza pues oración tú por las reliquias que aun han quedado.

It may be the LORD thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the LORD thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left.

It may be the LORD your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to defy the living God, and will rebuke the words which the LORD your God has heard. Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.’”

Les serviteurs du roi Ezéchias se rendirent auprès d'Isaïe.

Vinieron pues los siervos de Ezechîas á Isaías.

Celui-ci leur dit: "Vous parlerez ainsi à votre maître: Ne sois pas effrayé, a dit l'Eternel, des paroles que tu as entendues, des blasphèmes proférés contre moi par les jeunes gens du roi d'Assyrie.

Y díjoles Isaías: Diréis así á vuestro señor: Así dice Jehová: No temas por las palabras que has oído, con las cuales me han blasfemado los siervos del rey de Asiria.

And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say unto your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

Isaiah said to them, “Tell your master, ‘The LORD says, “Don’t be afraid of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

Je lui inspirerai la résolution de retourner dans son pays à la suite d'une nouvelle qui lui parviendra; là, je le ferai périr par le glaive."

He aquí que yo doy en él un espíritu, y oirá un rumor, y volveráse á su tierra: y yo haré que en su tierra caiga á cuchillo.

Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

Behold, I will put a spirit in him and he will hear news, and will return to his own land. I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.”’”

Lorsque Rabchakè revint auprès du roi d'Assyrie, il le trouva aux prises avec Libna; il avait, en effet, appris son départ de Lakhich.

Vuelto pues Rabsaces, halló al rey de Asiria que batía á Libna; porque ya había oído que se había apartado de Lachîs.

So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.

Or, le roi d'Assyrie reçut l'information suivante: "Tirhaka, roi d'Ethiopie, marche contre toi pour te combattre." À cette nouvelle, il envoya des messagers auprès d'Ezéchias avec cet ordre:

Mas oyendo decir de Tirhakah rey de Etiopía: He aquí que ha salido para hacerte guerra: en oyéndolo, envió mensajeros á Ezechîas, diciendo:

And he heard say concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, He is come forth to make war with thee. And when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,

He heard news concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, “He has come out to fight against you.” When he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,

Vous parlerez à Ezéchias, roi de Juda, en ces termes: "Ne te laisse pas leurrer par ton Dieu, en qui tu mets ta confiance, en te disant que Jérusalem ne tombera pas au pouvoir du roi d'Assyrie.

Diréis así á Ezechîas rey de Judá: No te engañe tu Dios en quien tú confías, diciendo: Jerusalem no será entregada en mano del rey de Asiria.

Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God, in whom thou trustest, deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.

“Thus you shall speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, ‘Don’t let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying, “Jerusalem won’t be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”

Certes, toi aussi tu as appris les exploits accomplis par les rois d'Assyrie dans tous les pays qu'ils ont dévastés. Et toi, tu serais sauvé!

He aquí que tú oiste lo que hicieron los reyes de Asiria á todas las tierras, que las destruyeron; ¿y escaparás tú?

Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands by destroying them utterly; and shalt thou be delivered?

Les dieux ont-ils pu assurer le salut des peuplades que mes ancêtres ont anéanties: Gozân et Haran, Récéf et les Benê-Eden établis à Telassar?

¿Libraron los dioses de las gentes á los que destruyeron mis antepasados, á Gozán, y Harán, Rezeph, y á los hijos de Edén que moraban en Thelasar?

Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed, as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Telassar?

Où est le roi de Hamat, le roi d'Arpad, le roi de Laïr, Sefarvayim, Hèna et Ivva?"

¿Dónde está el rey de Amath, y el rey de Arphad, el rey de la ciudad de Sepharvaim, de Henah, y de Hivah?

Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arphad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah?

Ezéchias prit la lettre de la main des messagers et, après l'avoir lue, il se rendit dans la maison de Dieu et déploya cette lettre devant l'Eternel.

Y tomó Ezechîas las cartas de mano de los mensajeros, y leyólas; y subió á la casa de Jehová, y las extendió delante de Jehová.

And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up unto the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD.

Puis Ezéchias adressa la prière suivante à l'Eternel:

"Eternel-Cebaot, Dieu d'Israël, toi qui trônes sur les chérubins, tu es le seul Dieu de tous les royaumes de l'univers, c'est toi qui as créé le ciel et la terre.

Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, que moras entre los querubines, sólo tú eres Dios sobre todos los reinos de la tierra; tú hiciste los cielos y la tierra.

O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth.

“LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, who is enthroned among the cherubim, you are the God, even you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.

Seigneur, prête l'oreille et écoute, ouvre les yeux et regarde! Accorde ton attention au message envoyé par Sennachérib pour blasphémer le Dieu vivant!

Inclina, oh Jehová, tu oído, y oye; abre, oh Jehová, tus ojos, y mira: y oye todas las palabras de Sennachêrib, el cual ha enviado á blasfemar al Dios viviente.

Incline thine ear, O LORD, and hear; open thine eyes, O LORD, and see: and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to reproach the living God.

Turn your ear, LORD, and hear. Open your eyes, LORD, and behold. Hear all of the words of Sennacherib, who has sent to defy the living God.

II est vrai, Eternel, que les rois d'Assyrie ont ruiné tous les peuples avec leurs territoires,

Ciertamente, oh Jehová, los reyes de Asiria destruyeron todas las tierras y sus comarcas,

Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations, and their countries,

Truly, LORD, the kings of Assyria have destroyed all the countries and their land,

et livré leurs divinités aux flammes. Mais ce n'étaient point des dieux, c'étaient des œuvres fabriquées par l'homme, du bois et de la pierre; on les a donc anéanties.

Y entregaron los dioses de ellos al fuego: porque no eran dioses, sino obra de manos de hombre, leño y piedra: por eso los deshicieron.

And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.

Isaïe, fils d'Amoç, manda à Ezéchias: "Ainsi parle l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël: En raison de la prière que tu m'as adressée à cause de Sennachérib, roi d'Assyrie,

Entonces Isaías hijo de Amoz, envió á decir á Ezechîas: Jehová Dios de Israel dice así: Acerca de lo que me rogaste sobre Sennachêrib rey de Asiria,

Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Whereas thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria:

Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, “The LORD, the God of Israel says, ‘Because you have prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria,

voici l'oracle prononcé sur lui par l'Eternel: "Elle te dédaigne, se rit de toi, la vierge, fille de Sion; elle hoche la tête après toi, la fille de Jérusalem.

Esto es lo que Jehová habló de él: Hate menospreciado, y ha hecho escarnio de ti la virgen hija de Sión: meneó su cabeza á tus espaldas la hija de Jerusalem.

This is the word which the LORD hath spoken concerning him; The virgin, the daughter of Zion, hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.

this is the word which the LORD has spoken concerning him: The virgin daughter of Zion has despised you and ridiculed you. The daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head at you.

À qui vont tes blasphèmes et insultes? Contre qui élèves-tu la voix? Tu as porté haut tes regards contre le Saint d'Israël.

¿A quién injuriaste y á quién blasfemaste? ¿contra quién has alzado tu voz, y levantado tus ojos en alto? Contra el Santo de Israel.

Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.

Whom have you defied and blasphemed? Against whom have you exalted your voice and lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel.

Par tes émissaires, tu as outragé Dieu; tu as dit: "Avec mes nombreux chars j'ai escaladé la cime des montagnes, les pentes escarpées du Liban; j'abats ses cèdres superbes, ses plus beaux cyprès; j'atteins le gîte de son dernier sommet, ses taillis les plus touffus.

Por mano de tus siervos denostaste al Señor, y dijiste: Yo con la multitud de mis carros subiré á las alturas de los montes, á las laderas del Líbano; cortaré sus altos cedros, sus hayas escogidas; vendré después á lo alto de su límite, al monte de su Carmel.

By thy servants hast thou reproached the Lord, and hast said, By the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the height of his border, and the forest of his Carmel.

By your servants, you have defied the Lord, and have said, “With the multitude of my chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, to the innermost parts of Lebanon. I will cut down its tall cedars and its choice cypress trees. I will enter into its farthest height, the forest of its fruitful field.

J'ai fait jaillir des sources, et j'ai bu leurs eaux. Sous la plante de mes pieds je mets à sec tous les canaux de l'Egypte."

Yo cavé, y bebí las aguas; y con las pisadas de mis pies secaré todos los ríos de lugares atrincherados.

I have digged, and drunk water; and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of the besieged places.

I have dug and drunk water, and with the sole of my feet I will dry up all the rivers of Egypt.”

N'as-tu pas compris que j'ai tout résolu de loin, préparé ces événements dès les temps antiques? Maintenant je les ai suscités, pour que, détruites par toi, des villes fortes se changent en monceaux de ruines.

¿No has oído decir que de mucho tiempo ha yo lo hice, que de días antiguos lo he formado? Helo hecho venir ahora, y será para destrucción de ciudades fuertes en montones de ruinas.

Hast thou not heard long ago, how I have done it; and of ancient times, that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste defenced cities into ruinous heaps.

“‘Have you not heard how I have done it long ago, and formed it in ancient times? Now I have brought it to pass, that it should be yours to destroy fortified cities, turning them into ruinous heaps.

Leurs habitants, réduits à l'impuissance, ont été frappés de terreur et de confusion, semblables à l'herbe des champs, au vert gazon, à la mousse des toits et au blé flétri avant de monter en épis.

Y sus moradores, cortos de manos, quebrantados y confusos, serán como grama del campo y hortaliza verde, como hierba de los tejados, que antes de sazón se seca.

Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded: they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up.

Que tu demeures chez toi, que tu entreprennes des expéditions, je le sais, comme je connais tes emportements contre moi.

Conocido he tu estado, tu salida y tu entrada, y tu furor contra mí.

But I know thy abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in, and thy rage against me.

But I know your sitting down, your going out, your coming in, and your raging against me.

Puisque tu t'emportes contre moi, et que tes discours arrogants sont montés à mes oreilles, je fixerai mon anneau à ton nez et mon mors entre tes lèvres, et te ferai reprendre le chemin par où tu es venu."

Porque contra mí te airaste, y tu estruendo ha subido á mis oídos: pondré pues mi anzuelo en tu nariz, y mi freno en tus labios, y haréte tornar por el camino por donde viniste.

Because thy rage against me, and thy tumult, is come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.

Because of your raging against me, and because your arrogance has come up into my ears, therefore I will put my hook in your nose and my bridle in your lips, and I will turn you back by the way by which you came.

Et ceci te servira de signe: cette année on mangera le produit spontané des champs, la seconde année ce qui repoussera encore de soi-même, mais la troisième année, vous ferez des semailles et des récoltes, vous planterez des vignes et en consommerez le produit.

Y esto te será por señal: Comerás este año lo que nace de suyo, y el año segundo lo que nace de suyo: y el año tercero sembraréis y segaréis, y plantaréis viñas, y comeréis su fruto.

And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such as groweth of itself; and the second year that which springeth of the same: and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.

“‘This shall be the sign to you: You will eat this year that which grows of itself, and in the second year that which springs from it; and in the third year sow and reap and plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.

Les débris qui ont survécu de la maison de Juda étendront de nouvelles racines sous la terre et porteront des fruits au-dessus.

Y el residuo de la casa de Judá que hubiere escapado, tornará á echar raíz abajo, y hará fruto arriba.

And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward:

Oui, un reste refleurira à Jérusalem et des débris sur la montagne de Sion; voilà ce que réalisera l'amour de l'Eternel-Cebaot.

Porque de Jerusalem saldrán reliquias, y del monte de Sión salvamento: el celo de Jehová de los ejércitos hará esto.

For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.

For out of Jerusalem a remnant will go out, and survivors will escape from Mount Zion. The zeal of the LORD of Armies will perform this.’

Aussi l'Eternel a-t-il fait cette déclaration au sujet du roi d'Assyrie: Il ne pénétrera pas dans cette ville, n'y lancera aucune flèche, ne lui opposera pas un seul bouclier, et n'établira pas de redoute contre elle.

Por tanto, así dice Jehová acerca del rey de Asiria: No entrará en esta ciudad, ni echará saeta en ella: no vendrá delante de ella escudo, ni será echado contra ella baluarte.

Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shields, nor cast a bank against it.

“Therefore the LORD says concerning the king of Assyria, ‘He will not come to this city, nor shoot an arrow there, neither will he come before it with shield, nor cast up a mound against it.

Il reprendra le chemin par où il est venu, mais dans cette ville (dit l'Eternel) il n'entrera pas.

Por el camino que vino se tornará, y no entrará en esta ciudad, dice Jehová:

By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the LORD.

He will return the way that he came, and he won’t come to this city,’ says the LORD.

Car je la protégerai, cette ville, pour son salut, en faveur de moi et de mon serviteur David."

Pues yo ampararé á esta ciudad para salvarla por amor de mí, y por amor de David mi siervo.

For I will defend this city to save it for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.

‘For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.’”

Un ange du Seigneur se rendit au camp assyrien et y fit périr cent quatre-vingt-cinq mille hommes; en se levant le matin, on aperçut tous ces cadavres.

Y salió el ángel de Jehová, é hirió ciento ochenta y cinco mil en el campo de los Asirios: y cuando se levantaron por la mañana, he aquí que todo era cuerpos de muertos.

Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

Then the LORD’s angel went out and struck one hundred and eighty-five thousand men in the camp of the Assyrians. When men arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.

Sennachérib, roi d'Assyrie, leva alors le camp, prit le chemin du retour et s'arrêta à Ninive.

Entonces Sennachêrib rey de Asiria partiéndose se fué, y volvióse, é hizo su morada en Nínive.

So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.

Là, pendant qu'il était prosterné dans le temple de son dieu Nisrokh, Adrammélec et Charécér, ses fils, le frappèrent de leur glaive, puis s'enfuirent dans le pays d'Ararat. Ce fut son fils Essar-Hadon qui lui succéda.

Y acaeció, que estando orando en el templo de Nisroch su dios, Adremelech y Sarezer, sus hijos, le hirieron á cuchillo, y huyeron á la tierra de Ararat; y reinó en su lugar Esar-hadón su hijo.

And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Armenia: and Esar-haddon his son reigned in his stead.

As he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons struck him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat. Esar Haddon his son reigned in his place.
