Y volvió Ezequías su rostro a la pared y oró al Señor,
EN aquellos días cayó Ezechîas enfermo para morir. Y vino á él Isaías profeta, hijo de Amoz, y díjole: Jehová dice así: Ordena tu casa, porque tú morirás, y no vivirás.
In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.
In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, came to him, and said to him, “The LORD says, ‘Set your house in order, for you will die, and not live.’”
diciendo: Acuérdate, te ruego, y suplico, ¡oh Señor!, de cómo he caminado en tu presencia con sinceridad y con un corazón perfecto y que he hecho lo que era agradable a tus ojos. Y prorrumpió Ezequías en un deshecho llanto.
Entonces volvió Ezechîas su rostro á la pared, é hizo oración á Jehová,
Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD,
Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD,
Y luego habló el Señor a Isaías diciendo:
Y dijo: Oh Jehová, ruégote te acuerdes ahora que he andado delante de ti en verdad y con íntegro corazón, y que he hecho lo que ha sido agradable delante de tus ojos. Y lloró Ezechîas con gran lloro.
And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
and said, “Remember now, LORD, I beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight.” Then Hezekiah wept bitterly.
Anda y di a Ezequías : Esto dice el Señor Dios de tu padre David: He oído tu oración y visto tus lágrimas. He aquí que te daré quince años más de vida;
Entonces fué palabra de Jehová á Isaías, diciendo:
Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying,
Then the LORD’s word came to Isaiah, saying,
y te libraré del poder del rey de los asirios a ti y a esa ciudad, y la protegeré.
Ve, y di á Ezechîas: Jehová Dios de David tu padre dice así: Tu oración he oído, y visto tus lágrimas: he aquí que yo añado á tus días quince años.
Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
“Go, and tell Hezekiah, ‘The LORD, the God of David your father, says, “I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.
Y de que el Señor cumplirá lo que ha dicho, se te dará por el mismo Señor esta señal:
Y te libraré, y á esta ciudad, de mano del rey de Asiria; y á esta ciudad ampararé.
And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.
I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city.
He aquí que voy a hacer que la sombra del sol retroceda las diez líneas que ha bajado en el reloj de Acaz. Y retrocedió el sol por las diez líneas que había bajado.
Y esto te será señal de parte de Jehová, que Jehová hará esto que ha dicho:
And this shall be a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken;
This shall be the sign to you from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he has spoken.
Cántico que dejó escrito Ezequías , rey de Judá, cuando enfermó, y sanó de su enfermedad.
He aquí que yo vuelvo atrás la sombra de los grados, que ha descendido en el reloj de Achâz por el sol, diez grados. Y el sol fué tornado diez grados atrás, por los cuales había ya descendido.
Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
Behold, I will cause the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down on the sundial of Ahaz with the sun, to return backward ten steps.”’” So the sun returned ten steps on the sundial on which it had gone down.
Dije yo: A la mitad de mis días entraré por la puerta del sepulcro; privado me veo del resto de mis años.
Escritura de Ezechîas rey de Judá, de cuando enfermó y sanó de su enfermedad.
The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness:

Ya no veré yo al Señor Dios, dije, en la tierra de los que viven. No veré más a hombre alguno, ni a los que morarán en dulce paz.
Yo dije: En el medio de mis días iré á las puertas del sepulcro: privado soy del resto de mis años.
I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years.
I said, “In the middle of my life I go into the gates of Sheol. I am deprived of the residue of my years.”
Se me quita el vivir, y se va a plegar o doblar mi vida, como se hace con la tienda de un pastor. Cortada ha sido mi vida, como tela por el tejedor; mientras la estaba aún urdiendo, entonces él me la ha cortado; de la mañana a la noche acabarás conmigo, ¡oh Dios mío!
Dije: No veré á JAH, á JAH en la tierra de los que viven: ya no veré más hombre con los moradores del mundo.
I said, I shall not see the LORD, even the LORD, in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.
I said, “I won’t see the LORD, the LORD in the land of the living. I will see man no more with the inhabitants of the world.
Esperaba vivir hasta el amanecer; el Señor, como un león fuerte, había quebrantado todos mis huesos; pero por la mañana decía: Antes de anochecer acabarás, oh Señor, mi vi-da.
Mi morada ha sido movida y traspasada de mí, como tienda de pastor. Como el tejedor corté mi vida; cortaráme con la enfermedad; me consumirás entre el día y la noche.
Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd’s tent: I have cut off like a weaver my life: he will cut me off with pining sickness: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.
My dwelling is removed, and is carried away from me like a shepherd’s tent. I have rolled up my life like a weaver. He will cut me off from the loom. From day even to night you will make an end of me.
Gritaba yo como un pollito de golondrina, gemía como paloma: Se debilitaron mis ojos de mirar siempre a lo alto del cielo. Mi situación, Señor, es muy violenta: Toma a tu cargo mi defensa.
Contaba yo hasta la mañana. Como un león molió todos mis huesos: de la mañana á la noche me acabarás.
I reckoned till morning, that, as a lion, so will he break all my bones: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.
I waited patiently until morning. He breaks all my bones like a lion. From day even to night you will make an end of me.
¿Mas qué es lo que digo? ¿Cómo me tomará él bajo su patrocinio, cuando él mismo es el que ha hecho esto? Repasaré, ¡oh Dios mío!, delante de ti con amargura de mi alma todos los años de mi vida.
Como la grulla y como la golondrina me quejaba; gemía como la paloma: alzaba en alto mis ojos: Jehová, violencia padezco; confórtame.
Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me.
I chattered like a swallow or a crane. I moaned like a dove. My eyes weaken looking upward. Lord, I am oppressed. Be my security.”
¡Oh Señor!, si esto es vivir, y en tales apuros se halla la vida de mi alma, castígame te ruego; y castigado, vivifícame.
¿Qué diré? El que me lo dijo, él mismo lo ha hecho. Andaré recapacitando en la amargura de mi alma todos los años de mi vida.
What shall I say? he hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done it: I shall go softly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.
What will I say? He has both spoken to me, and himself has done it. I will walk carefully all my years because of the anguish of my soul.
Ved cómo se ha cambiado en paz mi amarguísima aflicción; y tú, ¡oh Señor! has librado de la perdición a mi alma; has arrojado tras de tus espaldas todos mis pecados.
Oh Señor, sobre ellos vivirán tus piedades, y á todos diré consistir en ellas la vida de mi espíritu; pues tú me restablecerás, y me harás que viva.
O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these things is the life of my spirit: so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live.
Lord, men live by these things; and my spirit finds life in all of them. You restore me, and cause me to live.
Porque no han de cantar tus glorias los que están en el sepulcro, ni han de entonar las alabanzas los que están en poder de la muerte; ni aquellos que bajan a la fosa esperarán ver el cumplimiento de tus verídicas promesas.
He aquí amargura grande me sobrevino en la paz: mas á ti plugo librar mi vida del hoyo de corrupción: porque echaste tras tus espaldas todos mis pecados.
Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
Behold, for peace I had great anguish, but you have in love for my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption; for you have cast all my sins behind your back.
Los vivos, Señor, los vivos son los que te han de tributar alabanzas, como hago yo este día; el padre anunciará a sus hijos su fidelidad en las promesas.
Porque el sepulcro no te celebrará, ni te alabará la muerte; ni los que descienden al hoyo esperarán tu verdad.
For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
For Sheol can’t praise you. Death can’t celebrate you. Those who go down into the pit can’t hope for your truth.
¡Oh Señor!, sálvame, y cantaremos nuestros salmos en el templo del Señor todos los días de nuestra vida.
El que vive, el que vive, éste te confesará, como yo hoy: el padre hará notoria tu verdad á los hijos.
The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.
The living, the living, he shall praise you, as I do today. The father shall make known your truth to the children.
Es de saber que Isaías había mandado que tomasen una porción de higos, y que haciendo de ellos una masa, compusiesen una cataplasma y la pusiesen sobre la llaga de Ezequías , y se curaría.
Jehová para salvarme; por tanto cantaremos nuestros salmos en la casa de Jehová todos los días de nuestra vida.
The LORD was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the LORD.
The LORD will save me. Therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instruments all the days of our life in the LORD’s house.
Y entonces fue cuando dijo Ezequías : ¿Qué señal tendré yo, de que aún he de subir al templo del Señor?
Y había dicho Isaías: Tomen masa de higos, y pónganla en la llaga, y sanará.
For Isaiah had said, Let them take a lump of figs, and lay it for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover.
Now Isaiah had said, “Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a poultice on the boil, and he shall recover.”
Por aquel tiempo Merodac Baladán, hijo de Baladán, rey de Babilonia envió embajadores con cartas y presentes a Ezequías , por haber sabido que había estado enfermo y que había convalecido.
Había asimismo dicho Ezechîas: ¿Qué señal tendré de que he de subir á la casa de Jehová?
Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the LORD?
Hezekiah also had said, “What is the sign that I will go up to the LORD’s house?”
