Isaías 39

Nesse tempo, Merodaque-Baladã, filho de Baladã, rei da Babilônia, enviou embaixadores a Jerusalém, com uma carta de saudações e um presente para o rei, porque tinha recebido a notícia da doença e da recuperação de Ezequias.

EN aquel tiempo Merodach-baladán, hijo de Baladán, rey de Babilonia, envió cartas y presentes á Ezechîas; porque había oído que había estado enfermo, y que había convalecido.

Ezequias recebeu com alegria os embaixadores da Babilônia e lhes mostrou a sua casa do tesouro, cheia de ouro, prata e perfumes muito caros. Também mostrou a casa de armas de seu exército, os tesouros que havia no templo e não deixou de mostrar aos babilônios coisa alguma que fosse importante no seu reino.

Y holgóse con ellos Ezechîas, y enseñóles la casa de su tesoro, plata y oro, y especierías, y ungüentos preciosos, y toda su casa de armas, y todo lo que se pudo hallar en sus tesoros: no hubo cosa en su casa y en todo su señorío, que Ezechîas no les mostrase.

And Hezekiah was glad of them, and shewed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.

Então o profeta Isaías procurou o rei Ezequias e lhe perguntou: “O que foi que aqueles homens conversaram com o senhor? De onde eles vieram?” E Ezequias respondeu: “Vieram de muito longe, da Babilônia”.

Entonces Isaías profeta vino al rey Ezechîas, y díjole: ¿Qué dicen estos hombres, y de dónde han venido á ti? Y Ezechîas respondió: De tierra muy lejos han venido á mí, de Babilonia.

Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon.

Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah, and asked him, “What did these men say? From where did they come to you?” Hezekiah said, “They have come from a country far from me, even from Babylon.”

“O que foi que eles viram em seu palácio?”, perguntou Isaías. Ezequias respondeu: “Bem, eu mostrei a eles tudo o que há em meu palácio. Não há nada em meus depósitos que eu não lhes tenha mostrado”.

Dijo entonces: ¿Qué han visto en tu casa? Y dijo Ezechîas: Todo lo que hay en mi casa han visto, y ninguna cosa hay en mis tesoros que no les haya mostrado.

Then said he, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All that is in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.

Then he asked, “What have they seen in your house?” Hezekiah answered, “They have seen all that is in my house. There is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them.”

Então Isaías disse ao rei: “Ouça com atenção a palavra do Senhor Todo-poderoso:

Entonces dijo Isaías á Ezechîas: Oye palabra de Jehová de los ejércitos:

Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD of hosts:

Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the LORD of Armies:

‘Vai chegar o dia em que todas as riquezas que há no seu palácio e tudo o que os antigos reis, seus parentes, ajuntaram até hoje serão levados embora para a Babilônia. Nada vai ficar em Jerusalém’, diz o Senhor.

He aquí, vienen días en que será llevado á Babilonia todo lo que hay en tu casa, y lo que tus padres han atesorado hasta hoy: ninguna cosa quedará, dice Jehová.

Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.

‘Behold, the days are coming when all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have stored up until today, will be carried to Babylon. Nothing will be left,’ says the LORD.

‘Alguns dos seus futuros netos e bisnetos serão levados e se tornarão eunucos no palácio do rei da Babilônia’ ”.

De tus hijos que hubieren salido de ti, y que engendraste, tomarán, y serán eunucos en el palacio del rey de Babilonia.

And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

‘They will take away your sons who will issue from you, whom you shall father, and they will be eunuchs in the king of Babylon’s palace.’”

“Está bem”, respondeu Ezequias. “O que o Senhor determinou é bom”. Pois pensava: “Haverá paz e segurança enquanto eu viver!”

Y dijo Ezechîas á Isaías: La palabra de Jehová que has hablado, es buena. Y añadió: A lo menos, haya paz y verdad en mis días.

Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days.

Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The LORD’s word which you have spoken is good.” He said moreover, “For there will be peace and truth in my days.”
