Isaías 3

Riveduta 1927

18In quel giorno, il Signore torrà via il lusso degli anelli de’ piedi, delle reti e delle mezzelune;

19gli orecchini, i braccialetti ed i veli;

20i diademi, le catenelle de’ piedi, le cinture, i vasetti di profumo e gli amuleti;

21gli anelli, i cerchietti da naso;

22gli abiti da festa, le mantelline, gli scialli e le borse;

1PORQUE he aquí que el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos quita de Jerusalem y de Judá el sustentador y el fuerte, todo sustento de pan y todo socorro de agua;

2El valiente y el hombre de guerra, el juez y el profeta, el adivino y el anciano;

6Cuando alguno trabare de su hermano, de la familia de su padre, y le dijere, Que vestir tienes, tú serás nuestro príncipe, y sea en tu mano esta ruina;

18Aquel día quitará el Señor el atavío de los calzados, y las redecillas, y las lunetas;

19Los collares, y los joyeles, y los brazaletes;

20Las escofietas, y los atavíos de las piernas, los partidores del pelo, los pomitos de olor, y los zarcillos;

21Los anillos, y los joyeles de las narices;

22Las ropas de remuda, los mantoncillos, los velos, y los alfileres;

King James Version

1For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,

2The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,

3The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.

4And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.

5And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.

6When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:

7In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.

8For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.

9The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.

10Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

11Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

12As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

13The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.

14The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses.

15What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

16Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:

17Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.

18In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,

19The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,

20The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,

21The rings, and nose jewels,

22The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,

23The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.

24And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.

25Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.

26And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.

World English Bible

1For, behold, the Lord, GOD of Armies, takes away from Jerusalem and from Judah supply and support, the whole supply of bread, and the whole supply of water;

2the mighty man, the man of war, the judge, the prophet, the diviner, the elder,

3the captain of fifty, the honorable man, the counselor, the skilled craftsman, and the clever enchanter.

4I will give boys to be their princes, and children shall rule over them.

5The people will be oppressed, everyone by another, and everyone by his neighbor. The child will behave himself proudly against the old man, and the wicked against the honorable.

6Indeed a man shall take hold of his brother in the house of his father, saying, “You have clothing, you be our ruler, and let this ruin be under your hand.”

7In that day he will cry out, saying, “I will not be a healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing. You shall not make me ruler of the people.”

8For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen; because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.

9The look of their faces testify against them. They parade their sin like Sodom. They don’t hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have brought disaster upon themselves.

10Tell the righteous that it will be well with them, for they will eat the fruit of their deeds.

11Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them, for the deeds of their hands will be paid back to them.

12As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. My people, those who lead you cause you to err, and destroy the way of your paths.

13The LORD stands up to contend, and stands to judge the peoples.

14The LORD will enter into judgment with the elders of his people and their leaders: “It is you who have eaten up the vineyard. The plunder of the poor is in your houses.

15What do you mean that you crush my people, and grind the face of the poor?” says the Lord, GOD of Armies.

16Moreover the LORD said, “Because the daughters of Zion are arrogant, and walk with outstretched necks and flirting eyes, walking daintily as they go, jingling ornaments on their feet;

17therefore the Lord brings sores on the crown of the head of the women of Zion, and the LORD will make their scalps bald.”

18In that day the Lord will take away the beauty of their anklets, the headbands, the crescent necklaces,

19the earrings, the bracelets, the veils,

20the headdresses, the ankle chains, the sashes, the perfume containers, the charms,

21the signet rings, the nose rings,

22the fine robes, the capes, the cloaks, the purses,

23the hand mirrors, the fine linen garments, the tiaras, and the shawls.

24It shall happen that instead of sweet spices, there shall be rottenness; instead of a belt, a rope; instead of well set hair, baldness; instead of a robe, a wearing of sackcloth; and branding instead of beauty.

25Your men shall fall by the sword, and your mighty in the war.

26Her gates shall lament and mourn. She shall be desolate and sit on the ground.
