Isaías 41

Faites silence devant moi, îles ; et que les peuples renouvellent leur force ! Qu’ils s’approchent ;… alors, qu’ils parlent ! Approchons ensemble en jugement !

ESCUCHADME, islas, y esfuércense los pueblos; alléguense, y entonces hablen: estemos juntamente á juicio.

Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment.

Qui, du levant, réveilla †celui dont la justice accompagne les pas ? Il livra les nations devant lui, et lui soumit les rois ; il les livra à son épée comme de la poussière, et à son arc comme du chaume chassé †par le vent.

¿Quién despertó del oriente al justo, lo llamó para que le siguiese, entregó delante de él naciones, é hízolo enseñorear de reyes; entrególos á su espada como polvo, y á su arco como hojarascas arrebatadas?

Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow.

Who has raised up one from the east? Who called him to his feet in righteousness? He hands over nations to him and makes him rule over kings. He gives them like the dust to his sword, like the driven stubble to his bow.

Il les poursuivit ; il passa en sûreté par un chemin où il n’était pas allé de ses pieds.

Siguiólos, pasó en paz por camino por donde sus pies nunca habían entrado.

He pursued them, and passed safely; even by the way that he had not gone with his feet.

Qui a opéré et fait †cela, appelant les générations dès le commencement ? Moi, l’Éternel, le premier ; et, avec les derniers, je suis le Même.

¿Quién obró é hizo esto? ¿Quién llama las generaciones desde el principio? Yo Jehová, el primero, y yo mismo con los postreros.

Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.

Les îles le virent et eurent peur, les bouts de la terre tremblèrent : ils s’approchèrent et vinrent ;

Las islas vieron, y tuvieron temor; los términos de la tierra se espantaron: congregáronse, y vinieron.

The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came.

The islands have seen, and fear. The ends of the earth tremble. They approach, and come.

ils s’entraidèrent l’un l’autre, et †chacun dit à son frère : Sois fort.

Cada cual ayudó á su cercano; y á su hermano dijo: Esfuérzate.

They helped every one his neighbour; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage.

Everyone helps his neighbor. They say to their brothers, “Be strong!”

Et l’ouvrier fortifiait le fondeur ; celui qui polit au marteau †fortifiait celui qui frappe sur l’enclume, disant de la soudure : Elle est bonne ;… et il l’a affermi avec des clous, afin qu’il ne branle pas.

El carpintero animó al platero, y el que alisa con martillo al que batía en el yunque, diciendo, Buena está la soldadura; y afirmólo con clavos, porque no se moviese.

So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved.

So the carpenter encourages the goldsmith. He who smooths with the hammer encourages him who strikes the anvil, saying of the soldering, “It is good;” and he fastens it with nails, that it might not totter.

Et toi, Israël, mon serviteur, Jacob, que j’ai choisi, semence d’Abraham mon ami,

Mas tú, Israel, siervo mío eres; tú, Jacob, á quien yo escogí, simiente de Abraham mi amigo.

But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.

“But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the offspring of Abraham my friend,

toi que j’ai pris des bouts de la terre et appelé de ses extrémités, et à qui j’ai dit : Tu es mon serviteur, je t’ai choisi et je ne t’ai pas rejeté ;…

Porque te tomé de los extremos de la tierra, y de sus principales te llamé, y te dije: Mi siervo eres tú; te escogí, y no te deseché.

Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.

you whom I have taken hold of from the ends of the earth, and called from its corners, and said to you, ‘You are my servant. I have chosen you and have not cast you away.’

ne crains point, car je suis avec toi ; ne sois pas inquiet, car moi je suis ton Dieu. Je te fortifierai ; oui, je t’aiderai ; oui, je te soutiendrai par la droite de ma justice.

No temas, que yo soy contigo; no desmayes, que yo soy tu Dios que te esfuerzo: siempre te ayudaré, siempre te sustentaré con la diestra de mi justicia.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Voici, tous ceux qui s’irritent contre toi, seront honteux et confondus ; ils seront comme un rien, et les hommes qui contestent contre toi périront.

He aquí que todos los que se airan contra ti, serán avergonzados y confundidos: serán como nada y perecerán, los que contienden contigo.

Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.

Behold, all those who are incensed against you will be disappointed and confounded. Those who strive with you will be like nothing, and shall perish.

Tu les chercheras, et tu ne les trouveras pas, les hommes qui ont querelle avec toi ; ils seront comme un rien et comme néant, les hommes qui te font la guerre.

Los buscarás, y no los hallarás, los que tienen contienda contigo; serán como nada, y como cosa que no es, aquellos que te hacen guerra.

Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.

You will seek them, and won’t find them, even those who contend with you. Those who war against you will be as nothing, as a nonexistent thing.

Car moi, l’Éternel, ton Dieu, je tiens ta droite, †moi qui te dis : Ne crains point, moi je t’aiderai.

Porque yo Jehová soy tu Dios, que te ase de tu mano derecha, y te dice: No temas, yo te ayudé.

For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I will help you.’

Ne crains point, toi Jacob, vermisseau ! †et vous, hommes d’Israël ! Moi je t’aiderai, dit l’Éternel, et ton rédempteur, le Saint d’Israël.

No temas, gusano de Jacob, oh vosotros los pocos de Israel; yo te socorrí, dice Jehová, y tu Redentor el Santo de Israel.

Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

Don’t be afraid, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel. I will help you,” says the LORD. “Your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

Voici, j’ai fait de toi un traîneau à battre, tranchant, neuf, à doubles dents : tu battras les montagnes et tu les réduiras en poussière, et tu rendras les collines comme de la balle ;

He aquí que yo te he puesto por trillo, trillo nuevo, lleno de dientes: trillarás montes y los molerás, y collados tornarás en tamo.

Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.

Behold, I have made you into a new sharp threshing instrument with teeth. You will thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and will make the hills like chaff.

tu les vanneras, et le vent les emportera, et le tourbillon les dispersera ; et toi, tu t’égaieras en l’Éternel, tu te glorifieras dans le Saint d’Israël.

Los aventarás, y los llevará el viento, y esparcirálos el torbellino. Tú empero te regocijarás en Jehová, te gloriarás en el Santo de Israel.

Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.

You will winnow them, and the wind will carry them away, and the whirlwind will scatter them. You will rejoice in the LORD. You will glory in the Holy One of Israel.

Les affligés et les nécessiteux chercheront de l’eau, et il n’y en a pas, leur langue est desséchée par la soif : moi, l’Éternel, je leur répondrai, †moi, le Dieu d’Israël, je ne les abandonnerai pas.

Los afligidos y menesterosos buscan las aguas, que no hay; secóse de sed su lengua; yo Jehová los oiré, yo el Dios de Israel no los desampararé.

When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

The poor and needy seek water, and there is none. Their tongue fails for thirst. I, the LORD, will answer them. I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

Je ferai couler des rivières sur les hauteurs, et des fontaines au milieu des vallées ; je changerai le désert en un étang d’eau, et la terre aride en des sources jaillissantes.

En los altos abriré ríos, y fuentes en mitad de los llanos: tornaré el desierto en estanques de aguas, y en manaderos de aguas la tierra seca.

I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

Je ferai croître dans le désert le cèdre, l’acacia, et le myrte, et l’olivier ; je mettrai dans le lieu stérile le cyprès, le pin et le buis ensemble ;

Daré en el desierto cedros, espinos, arrayanes, y olivas; pondré en la soledad hayas, olmos, y álamos juntamente;

I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:

I will put cedar, acacia, myrtle, and oil trees in the wilderness. I will set cypress trees, pine, and box trees together in the desert;

afin qu’ils voient, et qu’ils sachent, et qu’ils considèrent, et qu’ils comprennent tous ensemble, que la main de l’Éternel a fait cela, et que le Saint d’Israël l’a créé.

Porque vean y conozcan, y adviertan y entiendan todos, que la mano de Jehová hace esto, y que el Santo de Israel lo crió.

That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

Produisez votre cause, dit l’Éternel ; apportez ici vos arguments, dit le roi de Jacob.

Alegad por vuestra causa, dice Jehová: exhibid vuestros fundamentos, dice el Rey de Jacob.

Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.

Produce your cause,” says the LORD. “Bring out your strong reasons!” says the King of Jacob.

Qu’ils les apportent, et qu’ils nous déclarent ce qui arrivera. Déclarez les premières choses, ce qu’elles sont, afin que nous †y fassions attention, et que nous en connaissions le résultat ; ou faites-nous savoir celles qui viendront ;

Traigan, y anúnciennos lo que ha de venir: dígannos lo que ha pasado desde el principio, y pondremos nuestro corazón en ello: sepamos también su postrimería, y hacednos entender lo que ha de venir.

Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come.

“Let them announce and declare to us what will happen! Declare the former things, what they are, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or show us things to come.

– déclarez les choses qui vont arriver dans la suite, et nous saurons que vous êtes des dieux ; oui, faites du bien et faites du mal, afin que nous le considérions et le voyions ensemble.

Dadnos nuevas de lo que ha de ser después, para que sepamos que vosotros sois dioses; ó á lo menos haced bien, ó mal, para que tengamos qué contar, y juntamente nos maravillemos.

Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.

Declare the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods. Yes, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and see it together.

Voici, vous êtes moins que rien, et votre œuvre est du néant : qui vous choisit est une abomination…

He aquí que vosotros sois de nada, y vuestras obras de vanidad; abominación el que os escogió.

Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you.

Behold, you are nothing, and your work is nothing. He who chooses you is an abomination.

Je l’ai réveillé du nord, et il vient, – du lever du soleil, celui qui invoquera mon nom. Et il marchera sur les princes comme sur de la boue, et comme le potier foule l’argile.

Del norte desperté uno, y vendrá; del nacimiento del sol llamará en mi nombre: y hollará príncipes como lodo, y como pisa el barro el alfarero.

I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as upon morter, and as the potter treadeth clay.

“I have raised up one from the north, and he has come, from the rising of the sun, one who calls on my name, and he shall come on rulers as on mortar, and as the potter treads clay.

Qui l’a déclaré dès le commencement, afin que nous le sachions, et d’avance, afin que nous disions : C’est juste ? Non, il n’y a personne qui le déclare ; non, personne qui le fasse entendre ; non, personne qui entende vos paroles.

¿Quién lo anunció desde el principio, para que sepamos; ó de tiempo atrás, y diremos: Es justo? Cierto, no hay quien anuncie, sí, no hay quien enseñe, ciertamente no hay quien oiga vuestras palabras.

Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous? yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words.

Who has declared it from the beginning, that we may know? and before, that we may say, ‘He is right’? Surely, there is no one who declares. Surely, there is no one who shows. Surely, there is no one who hears your words.

Le premier, †j’ai dit à Sion : Voici, les voici ! et à Jérusalem : Je donnerai un messager de bonnes nouvelles !

Yo soy el primero que he enseñado estas cosas á Sión, y á Jerusalem daré un portador de alegres nuevas.

The first shall say to Zion, Behold, behold them: and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings.

I am the first to say to Zion, ‘Behold, look at them;’ and I will give one who brings good news to Jerusalem.

Et j’ai regardé, et il n’y avait personne – même parmi eux – et point de conseiller, pour leur demander, et avoir d’eux une réponse.

Miré, y no había ninguno; y pregunté de estas cosas, y ningún consejero hubo: preguntéles, y no respondieron palabra.

For I beheld, and there was no man; even among them, and there was no counsellor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word.

When I look, there is no man, even among them there is no counselor who, when I ask, can answer a word.

Voici, tous sont la vanité, leurs œuvres sont un néant, leurs images de fonte sont le vent et le vide.

He aquí, todos iniquidad, y las obras de ellos nada: viento y vanidad son sus vaciadizos.

Behold, they are all vanity; their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion.

Behold, all of their deeds are vanity and nothing. Their molten images are wind and confusion.
