¿Quién ha incitado a este desde el oriente, que encuentra la victoria a cada paso? ¿Quién será, sino el Señor? Dios le ha dado victoria sobre muchas naciones, y le ha permitido pisotear a reyes y atravesar con la espada ejércitos enteros.
¿Quién despertó del oriente al justo, lo llamó para que le siguiese, entregó delante de él naciones, é hízolo enseñorear de reyes; entrególos á su espada como polvo, y á su arco como hojarascas arrebatadas?
Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow.
Who has raised up one from the east? Who called him to his feet in righteousness? He hands over nations to him and makes him rule over kings. He gives them like the dust to his sword, like the driven stubble to his bow.
Él los persigue y marcha adelante libre de peligro, aunque ande por sendas desconocidas.

Las tierras de ultramar observan aterrorizadas y esperan noticias de las nuevas campañas de Ciro. Naciones remotas tiemblan y se movilizan para la guerra.

The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came.

Pero van presurosos a hacerse un nuevo ídolo, el tallador corre al orfebre y el forjador ayuda en el yunque. «Muy bien», dicen, «está saliendo muy bien. Ahora podemos soldarle los brazos». Cuidadosamente le pegan las extremidades y luego aseguran el monigote en su sitio para que no se caiga.
El carpintero animó al platero, y el que alisa con martillo al que batía en el yunque, diciendo, Buena está la soldadura; y afirmólo con clavos, porque no se moviese.
So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved.

¡Mira, todos tus furiosos enemigos están echados, confusos y esparcidos! Todo el que se te oponga morirá.
He aquí que todos los que se airan contra ti, serán avergonzados y confundidos: serán como nada y perecerán, los que contienden contigo.
Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.
Behold, all those who are incensed against you will be disappointed and confounded. Those who strive with you will be like nothing, and shall perish.
En vano los buscarás, habrán desaparecido.
Los buscarás, y no los hallarás, los que tienen contienda contigo; serán como nada, y como cosa que no es, aquellos que te hacen guerra.
Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
You will seek them, and won’t find them, even those who contend with you. Those who war against you will be as nothing, as a nonexistent thing.
Yo te sostengo tomándote de la mano derecha —yo, el Señor Dios tuyo— y te digo: ¡No tengas temor; estoy aquí para ayudarte!
Porque yo Jehová soy tu Dios, que te ase de tu mano derecha, y te dice: No temas, yo te ayudé.
For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

Serás nuevo instrumento trillador de agudos dientes para destrozar a todos los enemigos, convirtiendo en paja los montes.
He aquí que yo te he puesto por trillo, trillo nuevo, lleno de dientes: trillarás montes y los molerás, y collados tornarás en tamo.
Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.

Los lanzarás al aire, el viento los arrastrará, los torbellinos los esparcirán. Y estarán rebosantes de júbilo del Señor, se gloriarán en el Dios de Israel.
Los aventarás, y los llevará el viento, y esparcirálos el torbellino. Tú empero te regocijarás en Jehová, te gloriarás en el Santo de Israel.

Cuando los pobres y menesterosos busquen agua sin hallarla, y tengan la lengua reseca de sed, yo responderé cuando clamen a mí. Yo, el Dios de Israel, no los abandonaré jamás.

Abriré para ellos ríos en las altas mesetas. Les daré fuentes de aguas en los valles. En los desiertos habrá estanques de agua, y ríos alimentados por manantiales correrán por la tierra seca y sedienta.

Todos verán este milagro y comprenderán que es Dios quien lo hizo, el Santo de Israel.
Porque vean y conozcan, y adviertan y entiendan todos, que la mano de Jehová hace esto, y que el Santo de Israel lo crió.

¿Pueden sus ídolos presentar tales obras? ¡Que vengan y muestren lo que pueden hacer! dice Dios, el Rey de Israel.

Que procuren decirnos qué ocurrió en el pasado lejano o qué guarda el futuro.
Traigan, y anúnciennos lo que ha de venir: dígannos lo que ha pasado desde el principio, y pondremos nuestro corazón en ello: sepamos también su postrimería, y hacednos entender lo que ha de venir.
Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come.

¡Sí, a la prueba! ¡Si son dioses, dígannos lo que va a ocurrir en el porvenir, o realicen algún milagro que nos deje atónitos, estupefactos!
Dadnos nuevas de lo que ha de ser después, para que sepamos que vosotros sois dioses; ó á lo menos haced bien, ó mal, para que tengamos qué contar, y juntamente nos maravillemos.

Pero yo he incitado (a Ciro) desde el norte y el este; él se lanzará contra las naciones, invocará mi nombre y yo le daré victoria sobre reyes y príncipes. Él los pisoteará como alfarero que anda sobre la arcilla.

¿Quién sino yo les dijo que esto iba a ocurrir? ¿Qué otro lo predijo, forzándolos a reconocer que tenía razón? ¡Nadie más! ¡Ningún otro dijo nada!
¿Quién lo anunció desde el principio, para que sepamos; ó de tiempo atrás, y diremos: Es justo? Cierto, no hay quien anuncie, sí, no hay quien enseñe, ciertamente no hay quien oiga vuestras palabras.
Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous? yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words.

Yo fui el primero que dijo a Jerusalén. «¡Mira, mira! ¡Ya viene el auxilio!».

Fíjense, todos son objetos ridículos e indignos. Sus ídolos son tan vacíos como el viento.
He aquí, todos iniquidad, y las obras de ellos nada: viento y vanidad son sus vaciadizos.
Behold, they are all vanity; their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion.
