HE aquí mi siervo, yo le sostendré; mi escogido, en quien mi alma toma contentamiento: he puesto sobre él mi espíritu, dará juicio á las gentes.
Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

Ele trabalhará sem provocar agitação, sem gritar e fazer tumulto nas ruas e praças.

He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

Não quebrará o caniço rachado nem apagará a pequena chama que quase não dá luz. Ele mostrará amor aos fracos e dará forças aos desanimados. Ele fará justiça com fidelidade.

A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
He won’t break a bruised reed. He won’t quench a dimly burning wick. He will faithfully bring justice.
Ele mesmo não deixará de brilhar e ficará firme até que a justiça e a verdade sejam cumpridas em toda a terra, até que os povos mais distantes, além dos mares, confiem nele”.

Deus, o Senhor, que criou e estendeu os céus, que criou a terra e tudo que existe nela, que dá vida e espírito aos homens, diz o seguinte:
Así dice el Dios Jehová, el Criador de los cielos, y el que los extiende; el que extiende la tierra y sus verduras; el que da respiración al pueblo que mora sobre ella, y espíritu á los que por ella andan:
Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

“Eu, o Senhor, o chamei para demonstrar a minha justiça. Eu o protegerei e sustentarei. Você vai ser o mediador do novo trato que farei com o meu povo e uma luz para guiar os outros povos até mim.
Yo Jehová te he llamado en justicia, y te tendré por la mano; te guardaré y te pondré por alianza del pueblo, por luz de las gentes;
I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

Você dará vista aos cegos e libertará os que vivem prisioneiros na escuridão e no desespero.
Para que abras ojos de ciegos, para que saques de la cárcel á los presos, y de casas de prisión á los que están de asiento en tinieblas.

“Eu sou o Senhor! Este é o meu nome e eu não reparto a minha glória com ninguém; o louvor que eu devo receber não reparto com as imagens feitas por mãos humanas.
Yo Jehová: este es mi nombre; y á otro no daré mi gloria, ni mi alabanza á esculturas.
I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Tudo o que eu anunciei realmente aconteceu. E outra vez eu anuncio a vocês o que vai acontecer no futuro, muito antes de tudo acontecer”.

Guiarei os cegos por um caminho onde nunca haviam passado, por caminhos desconhecidos eu os guiarei. Transformarei as trevas em luz diante deles e tornarei planos os lugares acidentados. Eu mesmo faço esta promessa e não vou abandonar o meu povo.

They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.

Não há ninguém, em todo o mundo, tão cego quanto o meu servo e tão surdo como o mensageiro que enviei! Quem é tão cego como aquele que é consagrado a mim, cego como Israel, o ‘Servo do Senhor’?

Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD’s servant?

Você viu muitas coisas, mas não dá atenção a elas; ouve a verdade, mas não dá importância!”

O Senhor escolheu, para manter a sua honra, tornar grande e gloriosa a sua lei. Foi pela lei que ele quis fazer de seu povo uma grande nação.

Mas vejam o triste papel que Israel está fazendo — um povo saqueado e roubado, escravizado, jogado em prisões, escondido em cavernas tornou-se presa, sem ninguém para resgatá-lo; tornou-se despojo, e não há ninguém que diga: “Restitua!”
Mas este es pueblo saqueado y hollado, todos ellos enlazados en cavernas y escondidos en cárceles: son puestos á saco, y no hay quien libre; hollados, y no hay quien diga, Restituid.

Será que não existe uma pessoa sequer entre todos vocês que seja capaz de entender as lições do passado e de perceber o mal que vai acontecer no futuro?
¿Quién de vosotros oirá esto? ¿quién atenderá y escuchará en orden al porvernir?
Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?

Quem foi que entregou Israel para tornar-se despojo? Quem deixou que as riquezas de Israel fossem saqueadas? Não foi o Senhor, contra quem temos pecado? Pois eles não andaram nos seus caminhos e sempre desobedeceram à sua lei.
¿Quién dió á Jacob en presa, y entregó á Israel á saqueadores? ¿No fué Jehová, contra quien pecamos? y no quisieron andar en sus caminos, ni oyeron su ley.
Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.

É por isso que Deus os castigou tão terrivelmente; por isso Israel foi destruído na guerra. Ele os envolveu em chamas, mas os israelitas não aprenderam; mesmo assim eles não se arrependeram de seus pecados.
Por tanto derramó sobre él el furor de su ira, y fuerza de guerra; púsole fuego de todas partes, empero no entendió; y encendióle, mas no ha parado mientes.
