Isaías 44

Zunächst muß er Zedern fällen oder eine Fichte oder eine Eiche nehmen, oder eine Auswahl unter den Bäumen des Waldes treffen; er hatte Tannen gepflanzt, die der Regen wachsen ließ;

Cortaráse cedros, y tomará encina y alcornoque, y entre los árboles del bosque se esforzará; plantará pino, que se críe con la lluvia.

He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.

He cuts down cedars for himself, and takes the cypress and the oak, and strengthens for himself one among the trees of the forest. He plants a cypress tree, and the rain nourishes it.
