Isaías 46

1Bel se inclina, Nebo se agacha; sus ídolos son llevados en bestias de carga, un peso pesado para los animales cansados.
2Se agachan y se inclinan juntos; no pueden evitar rescatar a sus ídolos, y ellos mismos se van al cautiverio.
3Escúchenme, descendientes de Jacob, todos los que quedan del pueblo de Israel. Yo los he cuidado desde que nacisteis, llevándoos desde el nacimiento.
4Incluso cuando sean ancianos, seguiré siendo vuestro Dios; incluso cuando su cabello se vuelva blanco, seguiré sustentándolos. Yo los hice, los llevaré, los sostendré y los salvaré.
5¿A quién me compararás? ¿A quién considerarás mi igual? ¿Con quién me compararás, como si fuéramos iguales?
6Hay quienes sacan el oro de sus bolsas con extravagancia, y pesan la plata en la balanza, y contratan a un orfebre para que les haga un dios al que puedan inclinarse y adorar.
7Levantan el ídolo sobre sus hombros, lo transportan y lo colocan en su sitio. Se queda allí y no se mueve. Incluso cuando la gente clama por ayuda, no responde; no puede salvarlos de sus problemas.
8¡Recuerden esto y actúen como hombres! Piensen en ello, rebeldes.
9Recuerden lo que he hecho por ustedes desde el principio, porque yo soy Dios, y no hay Dios fuera de mí. Yo soy Dios, y no hay ninguno como yo.
10Yo soy el que puede predecir lo que sucederá al final desde el principio, declarando desde la antigüedad lo que traerá el futuro. Todo lo que planeo se llevará a cabo; cumpliré todo lo que deseo.
11Estoy llamando a un ave de rapiña del este, un hombre de un país lejano que llevará a cabo mi plan. He hablado, y me aseguraré de que así sea. He hecho mi plan y lo llevaré a cabo.
12¡Escúchenme, ustedes, gente obstinada, que están tan lejos de hacer lo que es correcto!
13Muy pronto voy a arreglar las cosas; no tardaré. Vendré con mi salvación sin demora; salvaré a Sión para demostrar mi gloria a Israel.

1POSTRÓSE Bel, abatióse Nebo; sus simulacros fueron puestos sobre bestias, y sobre animales de carga: os llevarán cargados de vosotros, carga penosa.
2Fueron humillados, fueron abatidos juntamente; no pudieron escaparse de la carga, sino que tuvieron ellos mismos que ir en cautiverio.
3Oidme, oh casa de Jacob, y todo el resto de la casa de Israel, los que sois traídos por mí desde el vientre, los que sois llevados desde la matriz.
4Y hasta la vejez yo mismo, y hasta las canas os soportaré yo: yo hice, yo llevaré, yo soportaré y guardaré.
5¿A quién me asemejáis, y me igualáis, y me comparáis, para que sea semejante?
6Sacan oro del talego, y pesan plata con balanzas, alquilan un platero para hacer un dios de ello; humíllanse y adoran.
7Echanselo sobre los hombros, llévanlo, y asiéntanlo en su lugar; allí se está, y no se mueve de su sitio. Danle voces, y tampoco responde, ni libra de la tribulación.
8Acordaos de esto, y tened vergüenza; tornad en vosotros, prevaricadores.
9Acordaos de las cosas pasadas desde el siglo; porque yo soy Dios, y no hay más Dios, y nada hay á mí semejante;
10Que anuncio lo por venir desde el principio, y desde antiguo lo que aun no era hecho; que digo: Mi consejo permanecerá, y haré todo lo que quisiere;
11Que llamo desde el oriente al ave, y de tierra lejana al varón de mi consejo. Yo hablé, y lo haré venir: helo pensado, y también lo haré.
12Oidme, duros de corazón, que estáis lejos de la justicia.
13Haré que se acerque mi justicia, no se alejará: y mi salud no se detendrá. Y pondré salud en Sión, y mi gloria en Israel.

1Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they are a burden to the weary beast.
2They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.
3Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:
4And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
5To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?
6They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.
7They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
8Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.
9Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
11Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
12Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness:
13I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
World English Bible
1Bel bows down. Nebo stoops. Their idols are carried by animals, and on the livestock. The things that you carried around are heavy loads, a burden for the weary.
2They stoop and they bow down together. They could not deliver the burden, but they have gone into captivity.
3“Listen to me, house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, that have been carried from their birth, that have been carried from the womb.
4Even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear. Yes, I will carry, and will deliver.
5“To whom will you compare me, and consider my equal, and compare me, as if we were the same?
6Some pour out gold from the bag, and weigh silver in the balance. They hire a goldsmith, and he makes it a god. They fall down— yes, they worship.
7They bear it on their shoulder. They carry it, and set it in its place, and it stands there. It cannot move from its place. Yes, one may cry to it, yet it can not answer. It cannot save him out of his trouble.
8“Remember this, and show yourselves men. Bring it to mind again, you transgressors.
9Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other. I am God, and there is none like me.
10I declare the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done. I say: My counsel will stand, and I will do all that I please.
11I call a ravenous bird from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. Yes, I have spoken. I will also bring it to pass. I have planned. I will also do it.
12Listen to me, you stubborn-hearted, who are far from righteousness!
13I bring my righteousness near. It is not far off, and my salvation will not wait. I will grant salvation to Zion, my glory to Israel.
