Descends, assieds-toi dans la poussière, vierge, fille de Babylone ; assieds-toi par terre, sans trône, fille des Chaldéens ; car on ne t'appellera plus la délicate, la voluptueuse.

DESCIENDE, y siéntate en el polvo, virgen hija de Babilonia, siéntate en la tierra sin trono, hija de los Caldeos: que nunca más te llamarán tierna y delicada.

Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.

“Come down and sit in the dust, virgin daughter of Babylon. Sit on the ground without a throne, daughter of the Chaldeans. For you will no longer be called tender and delicate.
