Isaías 47

1Desce, e senta-te no pó da terra, ó virgem filha da Babilônia; senta-te no chão; já não há mais trono, ó filha dos caldeus; pois nunca mais serás chamada de tenra e delicada.
2Toma as pedras de moer, e mói farinha; descobre o teu véu, expõe as pernas, descobre as coxas, e passa os rios.
3Tua nudez será descoberta, e tua vergonha será vista; tomarei vingança, e a ninguém pouparei.
4O nome de nosso Redentor é o SENHOR dos exércitos, o Santo de Israel!
5Senta-te calada, e entra nas trevas, ó filha dos caldeus; porque nunca mais serás chamada de senhora dos reinos.
6Tive muita ira contra meu povo; profanei minha herança, e os entreguei em tuas mãos; porém tu não lhes foste misericordiosa, e até sobre os velhos puseste teu jugo muito pesado.
7E dizias: Serei senhora para sempre; Até agora não pensaste estas coisas em teu coração, nem te lembraste do fim que elas teriam.
8Agora, pois, ouve isto, ó amante dos prazeres, que habitas tão segura, que dizes em teu coração: Somente eu, e ninguém mais; não ficarei viúva, nem saberei como é perder um filho.
9Porém ambas estas coisas virão sobre ti, em um momento no mesmo dia: perda de filhos e viuvez; em completa totalidade virão sobre ti, por causa de tuas muitas feitiçarias, por causa da abundância de teus muitos encantamentos.
10Pois confiaste em tua maldade, e disseste: Ninguém me vê.Tua sabedoria e teu conhecimento, esses te fizeram desviar, e disseste em teu coração: Somente eu, e ninguém mais.
11Então virá sobre ti um mal do qual não saberás a origem, e destruição cairá sobre ti, a qual não poderás solucionar; porque virá sobre ti de repente tão tempestuosa assolação, que não poderás reconhecer com antecedência .
12Fica ainda com teus encantamentos, e com as tuas muitas feitiçarias, em que trabalhaste desde a tua juventude; para ver se talvez ter algum proveito, ou quem sabe provoques algum medo.
13Tu te cansaste com tantos conselhos que recebeste; levantem-se, pois, agora, os que observam o céu, os que contemplam as estrelas, os adivinhos das luas novas; e salvem-te daquilo que virá sobre ti.
14Eis que eles serão como a palha: o fogo os queimará, não poderão livrar suas vidas do poder das chamas; essas não serão brasas para se aquecer, nem fogo para meramente se sentar perto.
15Assim serão para ti aqueles com quem trabalhaste, aqueles com quem fizeste negócios desde a tua juventude. Cada um deles andará sem rumo em seu próprio caminho; ninguém te salvará.

1DESCIENDE, y siéntate en el polvo, virgen hija de Babilonia, siéntate en la tierra sin trono, hija de los Caldeos: que nunca más te llamarán tierna y delicada.
2Toma el molino, y muele harina: descubre tus guedejas, descalza los pies, descubre las piernas, pasa los ríos.
3Descubierta será tu vergüenza, y tu deshonor será visto: tomaré venganza, y no encontraré hombre.
4Nuestro Redentor, Jehová de los ejércitos es su nombre, el Santo de Israel.
5Siéntate, calla, y entra en tinieblas, hija de los Caldeos: porque nunca más te llamarán señora de reinos.
6Enojéme contra mi pueblo, profané mi heredad, y entreguélos en tu mano: no les hiciste misericordias; sobre el viejo agravaste mucho tu yugo.
7Y dijiste: Para siempre seré señora: y no has pensado en esto, ni te acordaste de tu postrimería.
8Oye pues ahora esto, delicada, la que está sentada confiadamente, la que dice en su corazón: Yo soy, y fuera de mí no hay más; no quedaré viuda, ni conoceré orfandad.
9Estas dos cosas te vendrán de repente en un mismo día, orfandad y viudez: en toda su perfección vendrán sobre ti, por la multitud de tus adivinanzas, y por la copia de tus muchos agüeros.
10Porque te confiaste en tu maldad, diciendo: Nadie me ve. Tu sabiduría y tu misma ciencia te engañaron, y dijiste en tu corazón: Yo, y no más.
11Vendrá pues sobre ti mal, cuyo nacimiento no sabrás: caerá sobre ti quebrantamiento, el cual no podrás remediar: y destrucción que no sabrás, vendrá de repente sobre ti.
12Estáte ahora en tus encantamentos, y con la multitud de tus agüeros, en los cuales te fatigaste desde tu niñez; quizá podrás mejorarte, quizá te fortificarás.
13Haste fatigado en la multitud de tus consejos. Parezcan ahora y defiéndante los contempladores de los cielos, los especuladores de las estrellas, los que contaban los meses, para pronosticar lo que vendrá sobre ti.
14He aquí que serán como tamo; fuego los quemará, no salvarán sus vidas del poder de la llama; no quedará brasa para calentarse, ni lumbre á la cual se sienten.
15Así te serán aquellos con quienes te fatigaste, tus negociantes desde tu niñez: cada uno echará por su camino, no habrá quien te salve.
King James Version
1Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
2Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.
3Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.
4As for our redeemer, the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.
5Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.
6I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.
7And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.
8Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
9But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.
10For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.
11Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.
12Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.
13Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.
14Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.
15Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.

1“Come down and sit in the dust, virgin daughter of Babylon. Sit on the ground without a throne, daughter of the Chaldeans. For you will no longer be called tender and delicate.
2Take the millstones and grind flour. Remove your veil, lift up your skirt, uncover your legs, and wade through the rivers.
3Your nakedness will be uncovered. Yes, your shame will be seen. I will take vengeance, and will spare no one.”
4Our Redeemer, the LORD of Armies is his name, is the Holy One of Israel.
5“Sit in silence, and go into darkness, daughter of the Chaldeans. For you shall no longer be called the mistress of kingdoms.
6I was angry with my people. I profaned my inheritance and gave them into your hand. You showed them no mercy. You laid a very heavy yoke on the aged.
7You said, ‘I will be a princess forever,’ so that you didn’t lay these things to your heart, nor did you remember the results.
8“Now therefore hear this, you who are given to pleasures, who sit securely, who say in your heart, ‘I am, and there is no one else besides me. I won’t sit as a widow, neither will I know the loss of children.’
9But these two things will come to you in a moment in one day: the loss of children and widowhood. They will come on you in their full measure, in the multitude of your sorceries, and the great abundance of your enchantments.
10For you have trusted in your wickedness. You have said, ‘No one sees me.’ Your wisdom and your knowledge has perverted you. You have said in your heart, ‘I am, and there is no one else besides me.’
11Therefore disaster will come on you. You won’t know when it dawns. Mischief will fall on you. You won’t be able to put it away. Desolation will come on you suddenly, which you don’t understand.
12“Stand now with your enchantments and with the multitude of your sorceries, in which you have labored from your youth, as if you might profit, as if you might prevail.
13You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels. Now let the astrologers, the stargazers, and the monthly prognosticators stand up and save you from the things that will happen to you.
14Behold, they are like stubble. The fire will burn them. They won’t deliver themselves from the power of the flame. It won’t be a coal to warm at or a fire to sit by.
15The things that you labored in will be like this: those who have trafficked with you from your youth will each wander in his own way. There will be no one to save you.
