Isaías 47

Steige herunter und sitze auf dem Staub, du Jungfrau, Tochter Babels. Sitze auf die Erde, da ist kein Thron, Tochter der Chaldäer. Denn man nennt dich hinfort nicht mehr: die Zarte und Üppige.

DESCIENDE, y siéntate en el polvo, virgen hija de Babilonia, siéntate en la tierra sin trono, hija de los Caldeos: que nunca más te llamarán tierna y delicada.

Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.

“Come down and sit in the dust, virgin daughter of Babylon. Sit on the ground without a throne, daughter of the Chaldeans. For you will no longer be called tender and delicate.

Nimm die Mühle und mahle Mehl, decke auf dein Lockenhaar, entblöße den Fuß, decke auf den Schenkel, gehe durch die Flüsse.

Toma el molino, y muele harina: descubre tus guedejas, descalza los pies, descubre las piernas, pasa los ríos.

Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.

Take the millstones and grind flour. Remove your veil, lift up your skirt, uncover your legs, and wade through the rivers.

Deine Blöße werde aufgedeckt, gesehen auch deine Schmach. Ich nehme Rache und soll kein Mensch vermitteln.

Descubierta será tu vergüenza, y tu deshonor será visto: tomaré venganza, y no encontraré hombre.

Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.

Your nakedness will be uncovered. Yes, your shame will be seen. I will take vengeance, and will spare no one.”

Unser Erlöser, Jehovah der Heerscharen ist Sein Name, der Heilige Israels.

Setze dich stille und gehe hinein in das Finstere, Tochter der Chaldäer, weil man dich fürder nicht mehr nennt Gebieterin der Königreiche.

Siéntate, calla, y entra en tinieblas, hija de los Caldeos: porque nunca más te llamarán señora de reinos.

Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.

“Sit in silence, and go into darkness, daughter of the Chaldeans. For you shall no longer be called the mistress of kingdoms.

Ich war über Mein Volk entrüstet, ließ Mein Erbe entweihen und gab sie in deine Hand. Du hattest kein Erbarmen mit ihnen, machtest dein Joch über den Greis sehr schwer.

Enojéme contra mi pueblo, profané mi heredad, y entreguélos en tu mano: no les hiciste misericordias; sobre el viejo agravaste mucho tu yugo.

I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.

I was angry with my people. I profaned my inheritance and gave them into your hand. You showed them no mercy. You laid a very heavy yoke on the aged.

Und du sprachst: Ich werde Gebieterin sein ewiglich; so daß du dieses nicht legtest auf dein Herz, und gedachtest nicht dessen Letztes.

Y dijiste: Para siempre seré señora: y no has pensado en esto, ni te acordaste de tu postrimería.

And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.

You said, ‘I will be a princess forever,’ so that you didn’t lay these things to your heart, nor did you remember the results.

Nun aber höre dies, du Wollüstige, die in Sicherheit sitzt und spricht in ihrem Herzen: Ich und keine sonst; ich werde nicht als Witwe sitzen und Kinderlosigkeit nicht kennen.

Oye pues ahora esto, delicada, la que está sentada confiadamente, la que dice en su corazón: Yo soy, y fuera de mí no hay más; no quedaré viuda, ni conoceré orfandad.

Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:

“Now therefore hear this, you who are given to pleasures, who sit securely, who say in your heart, ‘I am, and there is no one else besides me. I won’t sit as a widow, neither will I know the loss of children.’

Und es kommen die zwei über dich, augenblicklich, an einem Tage bist du kinderlos und Witwe. Vollauf kommen sie über dich ob deiner vielen Zaubereien und ob der sehr großen Macht deiner Bannsprüche.

Estas dos cosas te vendrán de repente en un mismo día, orfandad y viudez: en toda su perfección vendrán sobre ti, por la multitud de tus adivinanzas, y por la copia de tus muchos agüeros.

But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.

But these two things will come to you in a moment in one day: the loss of children and widowhood. They will come on you in their full measure, in the multitude of your sorceries, and the great abundance of your enchantments.

Und du vertrautest auf deine Bosheit und sagtest: Es sieht mich niemand. Deine Weisheit und dein Wissen verleiteten dich, daß du in deinem Herzen sprachst: Ich und sonst keine.

Porque te confiaste en tu maldad, diciendo: Nadie me ve. Tu sabiduría y tu misma ciencia te engañaron, y dijiste en tu corazón: Yo, y no más.

For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.

For you have trusted in your wickedness. You have said, ‘No one sees me.’ Your wisdom and your knowledge has perverted you. You have said in your heart, ‘I am, and there is no one else besides me.’

Und Böses wird kommen über dich, das du nicht weißt abzubitten, und Unheil wird fallen über dich, das du nicht zu sühnen vermagst, und plötzlich wird ein Unwetter über dich kommen, das du nicht weißt.

Vendrá pues sobre ti mal, cuyo nacimiento no sabrás: caerá sobre ti quebrantamiento, el cual no podrás remediar: y destrucción que no sabrás, vendrá de repente sobre ti.

Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.

Therefore disaster will come on you. You won’t know when it dawns. Mischief will fall on you. You won’t be able to put it away. Desolation will come on you suddenly, which you don’t understand.

Bleibe doch stehen bei deinen Bannsprüchen und deinen vielen Zaubereien, mit denen du dich von Jugend auf hast abgemüdet. Vielleicht vermagst du zu nützen, vielleicht erregst du Grauen.

Estáte ahora en tus encantamentos, y con la multitud de tus agüeros, en los cuales te fatigaste desde tu niñez; quizá podrás mejorarte, quizá te fortificarás.

Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.

“Stand now with your enchantments and with the multitude of your sorceries, in which you have labored from your youth, as if you might profit, as if you might prevail.

Bist du ermüdet von deinen vielen Ratschlägen? Lasse sie doch stehen und dich retten, die Beobachter des Himmels, die Beschauer der Sterne, die aus den Neumonden wissen wollen, was über dich wird kommen.

Haste fatigado en la multitud de tus consejos. Parezcan ahora y defiéndante los contempladores de los cielos, los especuladores de las estrellas, los que contaban los meses, para pronosticar lo que vendrá sobre ti.

Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.

You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels. Now let the astrologers, the stargazers, and the monthly prognosticators stand up and save you from the things that will happen to you.

Siehe, wie die Stoppel sind sie worden, das Feuer hat sie verbrannt. Sie erretten ihre Seele nicht aus der Hand der Flamme. Da ist keine Kohle zum Wärmen, kein Feuer, davor zu sitzen.

He aquí que serán como tamo; fuego los quemará, no salvarán sus vidas del poder de la llama; no quedará brasa para calentarse, ni lumbre á la cual se sienten.

Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.

Behold, they are like stubble. The fire will burn them. They won’t deliver themselves from the power of the flame. It won’t be a coal to warm at or a fire to sit by.

So werden dir sein die, mit denen du dich mühtest, deine Händler von deiner Jugend auf. Jeder Mann wird irren nach seiner Seite hin, und keiner dich retten.

Así te serán aquellos con quienes te fatigaste, tus negociantes desde tu niñez: cada uno echará por su camino, no habrá quien te salve.

Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.

The things that you labored in will be like this: those who have trafficked with you from your youth will each wander in his own way. There will be no one to save you.
