Et ta postérité eût été multipliée comme le sable, et ceux qui sortent de tes entrailles, comme le gravier de la mer ; son nom n’eût point été retranché ni effacé de devant ma face.

Fuera como la arena tu simiente, y los renuevos de tus entrañas como las pedrezuelas de ella; nunca su nombre fuera cortado, ni raído de mi presencia.

Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.

Your offspring also would have been as the sand and the descendants of your body like its grains. His name would not be cut off nor destroyed from before me.”
