1Höret dieses, Haus Jakob! Die ihr mit dem Namen Israel genannt und aus den Wassern Judas hervorgegangen seid, die ihr schwöret bei dem Namen Jehovas und des Gottes Israels rühmend gedenket, doch nicht in Wahrheit und nicht in Gerechtigkeit;
2denn nach der heiligen Stadt nennen sie sich, und sie stützen sich auf den Gott Israels, Jehova der Heerscharen ist sein Name:
3Ich habe das Frühere vorlängst verkündet, und aus meinem Munde ist es hervorgegangen, und ich habe es hören lassen; plötzlich vollführte ich es, und es traf ein.
4Weil ich wußte, daß du hart bist, und daß dein Nacken eine eiserne Sehne und deine Stirn von Erz ist,
5so habe ich es vorlängst dir verkündet, ehe es eintraf, habe ich es dich hören lassen; damit du nicht sagen möchtest: Mein Götze hat es getan, und mein geschnitztes und mein gegossenes Bild hat es geboten.
6Du hast es gehört, betrachte es alles; und ihr, wollt ihr es nicht bekennen? Von nun an lasse ich dich Neues hören und Verborgengehaltenes und was du nicht gewußt hast.
7Jetzt ist es geschaffen und nicht vorlängst, und vor diesem Tage hast du nicht davon gehört; damit du nicht sagen möchtest: Siehe, ich habe es gewußt.
8Du hast es weder gehört noch gewußt, noch war von längsther dein Ohr geöffnet; denn ich wußte, daß du gar treulos bist, und daß man dich von Mutterleibe an einen Übertreter genannt hat.
9Um meines Namens willen verziehe ich meinen Zorn, und um meines Ruhmes willen bezwinge ich ihn, dir zu gut, um dich nicht auszurotten.
10Siehe, ich habe dich geläutert, doch nicht wie Silber; ich habe dich geprüft im Schmelzofen des Elends.
11Um meinetwillen, um meinetwillen will ich es tun; denn wie würde mein Name entweiht werden! Und meine Ehre gebe ich keinem anderen.
12Höre auf mich, Jakob, und Israel, mein Berufener! Ich bin, der da ist, ich der Erste, ich auch der Letzte.
13Auch hat meine Hand die Erde gegründet, und meine Rechte die Himmel ausgespannt; ich rufe ihnen zu: allesamt stehen sie da.
14Versammelt euch, ihr alle, und höret! Wer unter ihnen hat dieses verkündet? Den Jehova liebt, der wird sein Wohlgefallen vollführen an Babel und seinen Arm an den Chaldäern.
15Ich, ich habe geredet, ja, ich habe ihn gerufen; ich habe ihn kommen lassen, und sein Weg wird gelingen.
16Nahet euch zu mir, höret dieses! Ich habe vom Anfang an nicht im Verborgenen geredet; von der Zeit an, da es ward, bin ich da. Und nun hat der Herr, Jehova, mich gesandt und sein Geist. -
17So spricht Jehova, dein Erlöser, der Heilige Israels: Ich bin Jehova, dein Gott, der dich lehrt, zu tun, was dir frommt, der dich leitet auf dem Wege, den du gehen sollst.
18O daß du gemerkt hättest auf meine Gebote! Dann würde dein Friede gewesen sein wie ein Strom, und deine Gerechtigkeit wie des Meeres Wogen;
19und dein Same würde gewesen sein wie der Sand, und die Sprößlinge deines Leibes wie seine Körner; sein Name würde nicht ausgerottet und nicht vertilgt werden vor meinem Angesicht.
20Ziehet aus Babel, fliehet aus Chaldäa mit Jubelschall; verkündiget, laßt dieses hören, bringet es aus bis an das Ende der Erde! Sprechet: Jehova hat seinen Knecht Jakob erlöst.
21Und sie dürsteten nicht, als er sie durch die Wüste führte; er ließ ihnen Wasser rieseln aus dem Felsen, er spaltete den Felsen, und Wasser flossen heraus. -
22Kein Friede den Gesetzlosen! spricht Jehova. -

1OID esto, casa de Jacob, que os llamáis del nombre de Israel, los que salieron de las aguas de Judá, los que juran en el nombre de Jehová, y hacen memoria del Dios de Israel, mas no en verdad ni en justicia:
2Porque de la santa ciudad se nombran, y en el Dios de Israel confían: su nombre, Jehová de los ejércitos.
3Lo que pasó, ya antes lo dije; y de mi boca salió; publiquélo, hícelo presto, y vino á ser.
4Porque conozco que eres duro, y nervio de hierro tu cerviz, y tu frente de metal,
5Díjetelo ya días há; antes que viniese te lo enseñé, porque no dijeses: Mi ídolo lo hizo, mis estatuas de escultura y de fundición mandaron estas cosas.
6Oístelo, vístelo todo; ¿y no lo anunciaréis vosotros? Ahora pues te he hecho oir nuevas y ocultas cosas que tú no sabías.
7Ahora han sido criadas, no en días pasados; ni antes de este día las habías oído, porque no digas: He aquí que yo lo sabía.
8Sí, nunca lo habías oído, ni nunca lo habías conocido; ciertamente no se abrió antes tu oreja; porque sabía que desleal habías de desobedecer, por tanto te llamé rebelde desde el vientre.
9Por amor de mi nombre dilataré mi furor, y para alabanza mía te daré largas, para no talarte.
10He aquí te he purificado, y no como á plata; hete escogido en horno de aflicción.
11Por mí, por amor de mí lo haré, para que no sea amancillado mi nombre, y mi honra no la daré á otro.
12Oyeme, Jacob, y tú, Israel, llamado de mí: Yo mismo, yo el primero, yo también el postrero.
13Mi mano fundó también la tierra, y mi mano derecha midió los cielos con el palmo; en llamándolos yo, parecieron juntamente.
14Juntaos todos vosotros, y oid. ¿Quién hay entre ellos que anuncie estas cosas? Jehová lo amó, el cual ejecutará su voluntad en Babilonia, y su brazo en los Caldeos.
15Yo, yo hablé, y le llamé, y le traje; por tanto será prosperado su camino.
16Allegaos á mí, oid esto; desde el principio no hablé en escondido; desde que la cosa se hizo, estuve allí: y ahora el Señor Jehová me envió, y su espíritu.
17Así ha dicho Jehová, Redentor tuyo, el Santo de Israel: Yo Jehová Dios tuyo, que te enseña provechosamente, que te encamina por el camino que andas.
18¡Ojalá miraras tú á mis mandamientos! fuera entonces tu paz como un río, y tu justicia como las ondas de la mar.
19Fuera como la arena tu simiente, y los renuevos de tus entrañas como las pedrezuelas de ella; nunca su nombre fuera cortado, ni raído de mi presencia.
20Salid de Babilonia, huid de entre los Caldeos; dad nuevas de esto con voz de alegría, publicadlo, llevadlo hasta lo postrero de la tierra: decid: Redimió Jehová á Jacob su siervo.
21Y no tuvieron sed cuando los llevó por los desiertos; hízoles correr agua de la piedra; cortó la peña, y corrieron aguas.
22No hay paz para los malos, dijo Jehová.

1Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.
2For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; The LORD of hosts is his name.
3I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.
4Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;
5I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.
6Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.
7They are created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.
8Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.
9For my name’s sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.
10Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
11For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.
12Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
13Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.
14All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these things? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.
15I, even I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.
16Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me.
17Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
18O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:
19Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.
20Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
21And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.
22There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.
World English Bible
1“Hear this, house of Jacob, you who are called by the name of Israel, and have come out of the waters of Judah. You swear by the LORD’s name, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness—
2for they call themselves citizens of the holy city, and rely on the God of Israel; the LORD of Armies is his name.
3I have declared the former things from of old. Yes, they went out of my mouth, and I revealed them. I did them suddenly, and they happened.
4Because I knew that you are obstinate, and your neck is an iron sinew, and your brow bronze;
5therefore I have declared it to you from of old; before it came to pass I showed it to you; lest you should say, ‘My idol has done them. My engraved image and my molten image has commanded them.’
6You have heard it. Now see all this. And you, won’t you declare it? “I have shown you new things from this time, even hidden things, which you have not known.
7They are created now, and not from of old. Before today, you didn’t hear them, lest you should say, ‘Behold, I knew them.’
8Yes, you didn’t hear. Yes, you didn’t know. Yes, from of old your ear was not opened, for I knew that you dealt very treacherously, and were called a transgressor from the womb.
9For my name’s sake, I will defer my anger, and for my praise, I hold it back for you so that I don’t cut you off.
10Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver. I have chosen you in the furnace of affliction.
11For my own sake, for my own sake, I will do it; for how would my name be profaned? I will not give my glory to another.
12“Listen to me, O Jacob, and Israel my called: I am he. I am the first. I am also the last.
13Yes, my hand has laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand has spread out the heavens. when I call to them, they stand up together.
14“Assemble yourselves, all of you, and hear! Who among them has declared these things? He whom the LORD loves will do what he likes to Babylon, and his arm will be against the Chaldeans.
15I, even I, have spoken. Yes, I have called him. I have brought him and he shall make his way prosperous.
16“Come near to me and hear this: “From the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it happened, I was there.” Now the Lord GOD has sent me with his Spirit.
17The LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, says: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go.
18Oh that you had listened to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.
19Your offspring also would have been as the sand and the descendants of your body like its grains. His name would not be cut off nor destroyed from before me.”
20Leave Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! With the sound of joyful shouting announce this, tell it even to the end of the earth; say, “The LORD has redeemed his servant Jacob!”
21They didn’t thirst when he led them through the deserts. He caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them. He also split the rock and the waters gushed out.
22“There is no peace”, says the LORD, “for the wicked.”
