2¿Por qué no había nadie cuando llegué? ¿Por qué nadie respondió cuando llamé? ¿Acaso es mi mano tan corta que no puede rescatar? ¿No tengo yo poder para librar? Con solo una orden mía seco el mar y convierto los ríos en desierto; sus peces se pudren por falta de agua y mueren de sed.

2Porque vine, y nadie pareció; llamé, y nadie respondió. ¿Ha llegado á acortarse mi mano, para no redimir? ¿no hay en mí poder para librar? He aquí que con mi reprensión hago secar la mar; torno los ríos en desierto, hasta pudrirse sus peces, y morirse de sed por falta de agua.

2Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.
