1Wer hat unserer Verkündigung geglaubt, und wem ist der Arm Jehovas offenbar geworden? -
2Und er ist wie ein Reis vor ihm aufgeschossen, und wie ein Wurzelsproß aus dürrem Erdreich. Er hatte keine Gestalt und keine Pracht; und als wir ihn sahen, da hatte er kein Ansehen, daß wir seiner begehrt hätten.
3Er war verachtet und verlassen von den Menschen, ein Mann der Schmerzen und mit Leiden vertraut, und wie einer, vor dem man das Angesicht verbirgt; er war verachtet, und wir haben ihn für nichts geachtet.
4Fürwahr, er hat unsere Leiden getragen, und unsere Schmerzen hat er auf sich geladen. Und wir, wir hielten ihn für bestraft, von Gott geschlagen und niedergebeugt;
5doch um unserer Übertretungen willen war er verwundet, um unserer Missetaten willen zerschlagen. Die Strafe zu unserem Frieden lag auf ihm, und durch seine Striemen ist uns Heilung geworden.
6Wir alle irrten umher wie Schafe, wir wandten uns ein jeder auf seinen Weg; und Jehova hat ihn treffen lassen unser aller Ungerechtigkeit. -
7Er wurde mißhandelt, aber er beugte sich und tat seinen Mund nicht auf, gleich dem Lamme, welches zur Schlachtung geführt wird, und wie ein Schaf, das stumm ist vor seinen Scherern; und er tat seinen Mund nicht auf. -
8Er ist hinweggenommen worden aus der Angst und aus dem Gericht. Und wer wird sein Geschlecht aussprechen? Denn er wurde abgeschnitten aus dem Lande der Lebendigen: Wegen der Übertretung meines Volkes hat ihn Strafe getroffen.
9Und man hat sein Grab bei Gesetzlosen bestimmt; aber bei einem Reichen ist er gewesen in seinem Tode, weil er kein Unrecht begangen hat und kein Trug in seinem Munde gewesen ist.
10Doch Jehova gefiel es, ihn zu zerschlagen, er hat ihn leiden lassen. Wenn seine Seele das Schuldopfer gestellt haben wird, so wird er Samen sehen, er wird seine Tage verlängern; und das Wohlgefallen Jehovas wird in seiner Hand gedeihen.
11Von der Mühsal seiner Seele wird er Frucht sehen und sich sättigen. Durch seine Erkenntnis wird mein gerechter Knecht die Vielen zur Gerechtigkeit weisen, und ihre Missetaten wird er auf sich laden.
12Darum werde ich ihm die Großen zuteil geben, und mit Gewaltigen wird er die Beute teilen: dafür, daß er seine Seele ausgeschüttet hat in den Tod und den Übertretern beigezählt worden ist; er aber hat die Sünde vieler getragen und für die Übertreter Fürbitte getan.

1¿QUIÉN ha creído á nuestro anuncio? ¿y sobre quién se ha manifestado el brazo de Jehová?
2Y subirá cual renuevo delante de él, y como raíz de tierra seca: no hay parecer en él, ni hermosura: verlo hemos, mas sin atractivo para que le deseemos.
3Despreciado y desechado entre los hombres, varón de dolores, experimentado en quebranto: y como que escondimos de él el rostro, fué menospreciado, y no lo estimamos.
4Ciertamente llevó él nuestras enfermedades, y sufrió nuestros dolores; y nosotros le tuvimos por azotado, por herido de Dios y abatido.
5Mas él herido fué por nuestras rebeliones, molido por nuestros pecados: el castigo de nuestra paz sobre él; y por su llaga fuimos nosotros curados.
6Todos nosotros nos descarriamos como ovejas, cada cual se apartó por su camino: mas Jehová cargó en él el pecado de todos nosotros.
7Angustiado él, y afligido, no abrió su boca: como cordero fué llevado al matadero; y como oveja delante de sus trasquiladores, enmudeció, y no abrió su boca.
8De la cárcel y del juicio fué quitado; y su generación ¿quién la contará? Porque cortado fué de la tierra de los vivientes; por la rebelión de mi pueblo fué herido.
9Y dispúsose con los impíos su sepultura, mas con los ricos fué en su muerte; porque nunca hizo él maldad, ni hubo engaño en su boca.
10Con todo eso Jehová quiso quebrantarlo, sujetándole á padecimiento. Cuando hubiere puesto su vida en expiación por el pecado, verá linaje, vivirá por largos días, y la voluntad de Jehová será en su mano prosperada.
11Del trabajo de su alma verá y será saciado; con su conocimiento justificará mi siervo justo á muchos, y él llevará las iniquidades de ellos.
12Por tanto yo le daré parte con los grandes, y con los fuertes repartirá despojos; por cuanto derramó su vida hasta la muerte, y fué contado con los perversos, habiendo él llevado el pecado de muchos, y orado por los transgresores.

1Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
11He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

1Who has believed our message? To whom has the LORD’s arm been revealed?
2For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no good looks or majesty. When we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3He was despised and rejected by men, a man of suffering and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we didn’t respect him.
4Surely he has borne our sickness and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted.
5But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.
6All we like sheep have gone astray. Everyone has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he didn’t open his mouth. As a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he didn’t open his mouth.
8He was taken away by oppression and judgment. As for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living and stricken for the disobedience of my people?
9They made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.
10Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him. He has caused him to suffer. When you make his soul an offering for sin, he will see his offspring. He will prolong his days and the LORD’s pleasure will prosper in his hand.
11After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light and be satisfied. My righteous servant will justify many by the knowledge of himself; and he will bear their iniquities.
12Therefore I will give him a portion with the great. He will divide the plunder with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was counted with the transgressors; yet he bore the sins of many and made intercession for the transgressors.
