¿Por qué gastas dinero en lo que no es comida, y por qué trabajas por algo que no te satisface? Escúchame bien: come lo que es bueno, y disfrutarás de la mejor comida.
¿Por qué gastáis el dinero no en pan, y vuestro trabajo no en hartura? Oidme atentamente, y comed del bien, y deleitaráse vuestra alma con grosura.
Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

Ven aquí y presta atención, para que puedas vivir de verdad. Voy a hacer un acuerdo contigo que durará para siempre, basado en el amor confiable que le mostré a David.
Inclinad vuestros oídos, y venid á mí; oid, y vivirá vuestra alma; y haré con vosotros pacto eterno, las misericordias firmes á David.

He aquí, que yo lo dí por testigo á los pueblos, por jefe y por maestro á las naciones.

Llamará a naciones que ni siquiera conoce, y las naciones que no lo conocen vendrán corriendo hacia él. Porque al Señor tu Dios, el Santo de Israel, lo hice glorioso.
He aquí, llamarás á gente que no conociste, y gentes que no te conocieron correrán á ti; por causa de Jehová tu Dios, y del Santo de Israel que te ha honrado.
Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.

Busca al Señor mientras puedas encontrarlo; llámalo mientras esté cerca.
Buscad á Jehová mientras puede ser hallado, llamadle en tanto que está cercano.

Los malvados deben cambiar sus costumbres y dejar de pensar en hacer algo malo. Deben volverse al Señor para que él tenga misericordia de ellos. Vuelvan a nuestro Dios, porque él es generoso con su perdón.
Deje el impío su camino, y el hombre inicuo sus pensamientos; y vuélvase á Jehová, el cual tendrá de él misericordia, y al Dios nuestro, el cual será amplio en perdonar.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Porque sus pensamientos no son mis pensamientos, y sus caminos no son mis caminos, declara el Señor.

Así como los cielos son más altos que la tierra, mis caminos son más altos que los suyos, y mis pensamientos más altos.

Es como la lluvia y la nieve que caen del cielo. No vuelven allí hasta que han regado la tierra, haciendo que las plantas crezcan y florezcan, proporcionando semillas para el sembrador y alimentos para comer.
Porque como desciende de los cielos la lluvia, y la nieve, y no vuelve allá, sino que harta la tierra, y la hace germinar y producir, y da simiente al que siembra, y pan al que come;
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

De la misma manera, las palabras que digo no vuelven a mí sin cumplirse, sino que logran lo que yo quiero: alcanzan con éxito mi propósito.
Así será mi palabra que sale de mi boca: no volverá á mí vacía, antes hará lo que yo quiero, y será prosperada en aquello para que la envié.
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Vivirás feliz, enseñado los caminos de la paz. Las montañas y las colinas celebrarán, cantando a tu lado; y todos los árboles aplaudirán.
Porque con alegría saldréis, y con paz seréis vueltos; los montes y los collados levantarán canción delante de vosotros, y todos los árboles del campo darán palmadas de aplauso.

Los cipreses crecerán en lugar de los arbustos de espinas; los mirtos crecerán en lugar de las zarzas. Esto es para confirmar la reputación del Señor: una señal eterna, que nunca será destruida.
En lugar de la zarza crecerá haya, y en lugar de la ortiga crecerá arrayán: y será á Jehová por nombre, por señal eterna que nunca será raída.
Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
Instead of the thorn the cypress tree will come up; and instead of the brier the myrtle tree will come up. It will make a name for the LORD, for an everlasting sign that will not be cut off.”
