El Señor me dijo: ¡Grita bien fuerte, clama con voz de trompeta, no tengas miedo! ¡Reprende a mi pueblo sus pecados!
CLAMA á voz en cuello, no te detengas; alza tu voz como trompeta, y anuncia á mi pueblo su rebelión, y á la casa de Jacob su pecado.
Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
“Cry aloud! Don’t spare! Lift up your voice like a trumpet! Declare to my people their disobedience, and to the house of Jacob their sins.
¡Mi pueblo está lleno de hipócritas! Acuden al templo cada día y les encanta oír la lectura de mis leyes, como si fueran a obedecerla, como si no menospreciaran los mandamientos de su Dios. ¡Qué afán muestran porque se les enseñen leyes justas, y les encanta estar cerca de mí!
Que me buscan cada día, y quieren saber mis caminos, como gente que hubiese obrado justicia, y que no hubiese dejado el derecho de su Dios: pregúntanme derechos de justicia, y quieren acercarse á Dios.
Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.

«Ante ti hemos ayunado», dicen, «¿por qué no te impresionas? ¿Por qué no ves nuestros sacrificios? ¿Por qué no escuchas nuestras plegarias? ¡Hemos hecho grandes penitencias, y ni siquiera te fijas!». Pero yo les digo la razón: Es que mientras ayunan se dedican a hacer negocios, y explotan a sus trabajadores.
¿Por qué, dicen, ayunamos, y no hiciste caso; humillamos nuestras almas, y no te diste por entendido? He aquí que en el día de vuestro ayuno halláis lo que queréis, y todos demandáis vuestras haciendas.
Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.

Además, el día de ayuno ustedes se las pasan en pura violencia, maltratándose unos a otros ¡Cómo quieren que escuche sus plegarias con esa clase de ayuno!
He aquí que para contiendas y debates ayunáis, y para herir con el puño inicuamente; no ayunéis como hoy, para que vuestra voz sea oída en lo alto.
Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.

Si a eso que ustedes hacen le llaman ayuno, ¡a mí no me agrada para nada! Para mí nada tiene que ver con el ayuno que ustedes hagan penitencia y se mortifiquen y doblen la espalda como junco y se vistan de luto y se acuesten sobre ceniza.
¿Es tal el ayuno que yo escogí, que de día aflija el hombre su alma, que encorve su cabeza como junco, y haga cama de saco y de ceniza? ¿Llamaréis esto ayuno, y día agradable á Jehová?
Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?

¡Eso no es ayuno! El ayuno que a mí me agrada es que dejen de oprimir a quienes trabajan para ustedes y liberen a los que están esclavizados y que ¡acaben con toda injusticia!
¿No es antes el ayuno que yo escogí, desatar las ligaduras de impiedad, deshacer los haces de opresión, y dejar ir libres á los quebrantados, y que rompáis todo yugo?
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
“Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?
Ayuno es que compartan su alimento con los hambrientos y que alberguen en sus hogares a los indefensos y menesterosos, que vistan a los que padecen frío y ayuden a todo aquel que necesite de su auxilio.
¿No es que partas tu pan con el hambriento, y á los pobres errantes metas en casa; que cuando vieres al desnudo, lo cubras, y no te escondas de tu carne?
Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh?
Los que practican esta clase de ayuno brillarán como la luz de la aurora, y el Señor sanará todas sus heridas. Además, la justicia será su guía y la gloria del Señor será su protección a sus espaldas.
Entonces nacerá tu luz como el alba, y tu salud se dejará ver presto; é irá tu justicia delante de ti, y la gloria de Jehová será tu retaguardia.
Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
Then your light will break out as the morning, and your healing will appear quickly; then your righteousness shall go before you, and the LORD’s glory will be your rear guard.
Cuando me invoquen, yo les responderé. Si gritan pidiendo ayuda, yo les diré: «¡Sí, aquí estoy!». Si ustedes hacen desaparecer la opresión, si dejan de acusar a los demás y de levantar calumnias,
Entonces invocarás, y oirte ha Jehová; clamarás, y dirá él: Heme aquí. Si quitares de en medio de ti el yugo, el extender el dedo, y hablar vanidad;
Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

si dan de comer al hambriento y ayudan a los que sufren, entonces su luz brillará entre las tinieblas, y su noche será como luminoso día.
Y si derramares tu alma al hambriento, y saciares el alma afligida, en las tinieblas nacerá tu luz, y tu oscuridad será como el medio día;
And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
and if you pour out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light will rise in darkness, and your obscurity will be as the noonday;
Yo, el Señor, los guiaré de continuo, y les daré de comer en el desierto y siempre tendrán fuerzas. Serán como huerto bien regado, como manantial que fluye sin cesar.
Y Jehová te pastoreará siempre, y en las sequías hartará tu alma, y engordará tus huesos; y serás como huerta de riego, y como manadero de aguas, cuyas aguas nunca faltan.
And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
and the LORD will guide you continually, satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones strong. You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters don’t fail.
Sus hijos reedificarán las ruinas de sus ciudades, por tanto tiempo convertidas en desiertas ruinas, y a ustedes se los conocerá como «reparadores de muros caídos», «reconstructores de casas en ruinas».
Y edificarán los de ti los desiertos antiguos; los cimientos de generación y generación levantarás: y serás llamado reparador de portillos, restaurador de calzadas para habitar.
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
Those who will be of you will build the old waste places. You will raise up the foundations of many generations. You will be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Paths with Dwellings.
Dediquen el día de descanso para honrarme a mí. No hagan negocios ese día, no lo usen para hablar de cosas inútiles. Más bien, disfruten el día de descanso con alegría y como un día especial dedicado a mí.
Si retrajeres del sábado tu pie, de hacer tu voluntad en mi día santo, y al sábado llamares delicias, santo, glorioso de Jehová; y lo venerares, no haciendo tus caminos, ni buscando tu voluntad, ni hablando tus palabras:
If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy of the LORD honorable, and honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,
Si hacen todo lo que les pido, yo seré su verdadera alegría, y los llevaré de triunfo en triunfo, y les entregaré la tierra que les prometí. Yo, el Señor les confirmo que así será.
Entonces te deleitarás en Jehová; y yo te haré subir sobre las alturas de la tierra, y te daré á comer la heredad de Jacob tu padre: porque la boca de Jehová lo ha hablado.
Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
then you will delight yourself in the LORD, and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth, and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father;” for the LORD’s mouth has spoken it.
