CLAMA á voz en cuello, no te detengas; alza tu voz como trompeta, y anuncia á mi pueblo su rebelión, y á la casa de Jacob su pecado.
Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

Eles fingem ser tão religiosos! Eles vêm ao templo diariamente e se mostram muito alegres em ouvir a leitura da minha lei, como se obedecessem a ela, como se não desprezassem os mandamentos do seu Deus. Eles me fazem perguntas sobre como cumprir a lei e parecem desejosos em se chegar a Deus.
Que me buscan cada día, y quieren saber mis caminos, como gente que hubiese obrado justicia, y que no hubiese dejado el derecho de su Dios: pregúntanme derechos de justicia, y quieren acercarse á Dios.
Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.

Eles dizem: ‘Por que jejuamos, se o Senhor nem atenta para isso? Por que nos humilhamos, se o Senhor nem dá importância?’ Eu vou lhes explicar por quê: É que, mesmo no dia do seu jejum, vocês cuidam dos seus negócios e maltratam e exploram seus empregados.
¿Por qué, dicen, ayunamos, y no hiciste caso; humillamos nuestras almas, y no te diste por entendido? He aquí que en el día de vuestro ayuno halláis lo que queréis, y todos demandáis vuestras haciendas.
Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.

Que adianta jejuar, se vocês continuam a brigar e a fazer violência? Será que vocês pensam que, quando jejuam assim, eu vou responder às suas orações?
He aquí que para contiendas y debates ayunáis, y para herir con el puño inicuamente; no ayunéis como hoy, para que vuestra voz sea oída en lo alto.
Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.

Será que esse é o jejum que escolhi? Será que desejo que passem fome, andem curvados como junco, se vistam de pano de saco e se deitem sobre cinzas? Vocês acham que esse é o jejum que agrada o Senhor?
¿Es tal el ayuno que yo escogí, que de día aflija el hombre su alma, que encorve su cabeza como junco, y haga cama de saco y de ceniza? ¿Llamaréis esto ayuno, y día agradable á Jehová?
Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?

“Não! O jejum que eu desejo ver é o seguinte: Parem de explorar seus empregados, não maltratem os seus servos, perdoem as dívidas dos que não podem pagar e não obriguem outros a trabalhar como escravos.
¿No es antes el ayuno que yo escogí, desatar las ligaduras de impiedad, deshacer los haces de opresión, y dejar ir libres á los quebrantados, y que rompáis todo yugo?
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
“Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?
Além disso, eu desejo que vocês repartam sua comida com os famintos, ofereçam abrigo a quem não tem casa, deem roupas aos que estão nus e não recusem ajuda ao próximo.
¿No es que partas tu pan con el hambriento, y á los pobres errantes metas en casa; que cuando vieres al desnudo, lo cubras, y no te escondas de tu carne?
Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh?
Se vocês fizerem isso, Deus lhes dará uma luz mais brilhante que o sol. Ele vai curar todos vocês num instante! A sua retidão vai servir como proteção para os seus passos, e a glória do Senhor estará na sua retaguarda para os proteger.
Entonces nacerá tu luz como el alba, y tu salud se dejará ver presto; é irá tu justicia delante de ti, y la gloria de Jehová será tu retaguardia.
Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
Then your light will break out as the morning, and your healing will appear quickly; then your righteousness shall go before you, and the LORD’s glory will be your rear guard.
Então, quando vocês clamarem ao Senhor, ele responderá; quando vocês gritarem por ajuda, ele dirá: ‘Eu estou ao seu lado’. “Se vocês acabarem com todo tipo de exploração, se pararem de fazer ameaças e de espalhar mentiras,

se abrirem a alma de vocês para os famintos, ajudarem e consolarem os desesperados, então a sua luz aparecerá, brilhante, nas trevas, e a sua escuridão se tornará clara como o meio-dia.
Y si derramares tu alma al hambriento, y saciares el alma afligida, en las tinieblas nacerá tu luz, y tu oscuridad será como el medio día;
And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
and if you pour out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light will rise in darkness, and your obscurity will be as the noonday;
O Senhor guiará vocês constantemente. Ele satisfará os seus desejos numa terra ressequida pelo sol e fortalecerá os seus ossos; vocês serão como um jardim bem regado, como uma fonte de onde a água não para de correr.
Y Jehová te pastoreará siempre, y en las sequías hartará tu alma, y engordará tus huesos; y serás como huerta de riego, y como manadero de aguas, cuyas aguas nunca faltan.
And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Os seus filhos vão reconstruir as velhas ruínas e restaurarão os alicerces antigos. Vocês serão conhecidos como o povo que reconstruiu seus muros e restaurou suas ruas e casas.
Y edificarán los de ti los desiertos antiguos; los cimientos de generación y generación levantarás: y serás llamado reparador de portillos, restaurador de calzadas para habitar.
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
Those who will be of you will build the old waste places. You will raise up the foundations of many generations. You will be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Paths with Dwellings.
“Se vocês guardarem o meu sábado, sem correrem atrás de lucros e divertimentos no meu dia santo, se vocês tiverem verdadeiro prazer no meu descanso e disserem: ‘Este é o santo dia do Senhor!’, se vocês honrarem o Senhor em tudo que fizerem, não procurando fazer sua própria vontade, nem falarem o que não presta,
Si retrajeres del sábado tu pie, de hacer tu voluntad en mi día santo, y al sábado llamares delicias, santo, glorioso de Jehová; y lo venerares, no haciendo tus caminos, ni buscando tu voluntad, ni hablando tus palabras:
If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy of the LORD honorable, and honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,
então o Senhor será a sua alegria! Eu mesmo os ajudarei a vencer todas as dificuldades e ter vitória e glória na terra. Vocês receberão todas as bênçãos que eu prometi a Jacó, seu pai. Eu, o Senhor, falei”.
Entonces te deleitarás en Jehová; y yo te haré subir sobre las alturas de la tierra, y te daré á comer la heredad de Jacob tu padre: porque la boca de Jehová lo ha hablado.
Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
then you will delight yourself in the LORD, and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth, and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father;” for the LORD’s mouth has spoken it.
