J'en ferai un désert ; et elle ne sera plus taillée, ni cultivée ; les ronces et les épines y croîtront, et je commanderai aux nuées de ne plus laisser tomber la pluie sur elle. " —

Haré que quede desierta; no será podada ni cavada, y crecerá el cardo y las espinas: y aun á las nubes mandaré que no derramen lluvia sobre ella.

And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
