Tandis que tu étais abandonnée, haïe et solitaire, je ferai de toi l'orgueil des siècles, la joie de toutes les générations ;

En lugar de que has sido desechada y aborrecida, y que no había quien por ti pasase, ponerte he en gloria perpetua, gozo de generación y generación.

Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
