1Mache dich auf, werde licht! denn dein Licht kommt, und die Herrlichkeit des HERRN geht auf über dir.
2Denn siehe, Finsternis bedeckt das Erdreich und Dunkel die Völker; aber über dir geht auf der HERR, und seine Herrlichkeit erscheint über dir.
3Und die Heiden werden in deinem Lichte wandeln und die Könige im Glanz, der über dir aufgeht.
4Hebe deine Augen auf und siehe umher: diese alle versammelt kommen zu dir. Deine Söhne werden von ferne kommen und deine Töchter auf dem Arme hergetragen werden.
5Dann wirst du deine Lust sehen und ausbrechen, und dein Herz wird sich wundern und ausbreiten, wenn sich die Menge am Meer zu dir bekehrt und die Macht der Heiden zu dir kommt.
6Denn die Menge der Kamele wird dich bedecken, die jungen Kamele aus Midian und Epha. Sie werden aus Saba alle kommen, Gold und Weihrauch bringen und des HERRN Lob verkündigen.
7Alle Herden in Kedar sollen zu dir versammelt werden, und die Böcke Nebajoths sollen dir dienen. Sie sollen als ein angenehmes Opfer auf meinen Altar kommen; denn ich will das Haus meiner Herrlichkeit zieren.
8Wer sind die, welche fliegen wie die Wolken und wie die Tauben zu ihren Fenstern?
9Die Inseln harren auf mich und die Schiffe im Meer von längsther, daß sie deine Kinder von ferne herzubringen samt ihrem Silber und Gold, dem Namen des HERRN, deines Gottes, und dem Heiligen in Israel, der dich herrlich gemacht hat.
10Fremde werden deine Mauern bauen, und ihre Könige werden dir dienen. Denn in meinem Zorn habe ich dich geschlagen, und in meiner Gnade erbarme ich mich über dich.
11Und deine Tore sollen stets offen stehen, weder Tag noch Nacht zugeschlossen werden, daß der Heiden Macht zu dir gebracht und ihre Könige herzugeführt werden.
12Denn welche Heiden oder Königreiche dir nicht dienen wollen, die sollen umkommen und die Heiden verwüstet werden.
13Die Herrlichkeit des Libanon soll an dich kommen, Tannen, Buchen und Buchsbaum miteinander, zu schmücken den Ort meines Heiligtums; denn ich will die Stätte meiner Füße herrlich machen.
14Es werden auch gebückt zu dir kommen, die dich unterdrückt haben; und alle; die dich gelästert haben, werden niederfallen zu deinen Füßen und werden dich nennen eine Stadt des HERRN, ein Zion des Heiligen in Israel.
15Denn darum, daß du bist die Verlassene und Gehaßte gewesen, da niemand hindurchging, will ich dich zur Pracht ewiglich machen und zur Freude für und für,
16daß du sollst Milch von den Heiden saugen, und der Könige Brust soll dich säugen, auf daß du erfährst, daß ich, der HERR, bin dein Heiland, und ich, der Mächtige in Jakob, bin dein Erlöser.
17Ich will Gold anstatt des Erzes und Silber anstatt des Eisens bringen und Erz anstatt des Holzes und Eisen anstatt der Steine; und will zu deiner Obrigkeit den Frieden machen und zu deinen Vögten die Gerechtigkeit.
18Man soll keinen Frevel mehr hören in deinem Lande noch Schaden oder Verderben in deinen Grenzen; sondern deine Mauern sollen Heil und deine Tore Lob heißen.
19Die Sonne soll nicht mehr des Tages dir scheinen, und der Glanz des Mondes soll dir nicht leuchten; sondern der HERR wird dein ewiges Licht und dein Gott wird dein Preis sein.
20Deine Sonne wird nicht mehr untergehen noch dein Mond den Schein verlieren; denn der HERR wird dein ewiges Licht sein, und die Tage deines Leides sollen ein Ende haben.
21Und dein Volk sollen eitel Gerechte sein; sie werden das Erdreich ewiglich besitzen, als die der Zweig meiner Pflanzung und ein Werk meiner Hände sind zum Preise.
22Aus dem Kleinsten sollen tausend werden und aus dem Geringsten eine Mächtiges Volk. Ich der HERR, will solches zu seiner Zeit eilend ausrichten.

1LEVÁNTATE, resplandece; que ha venido tu lumbre, y la gloria de Jehová ha nacido sobre ti.
2Porque he aquí que tinieblas cubrirán la tierra, y oscuridad los pueblos: mas sobre ti nacerá Jehová, y sobre ti será vista su gloria.
3Y andarán las gentes á tu luz, y los reyes al resplandor de tu nacimiento.
4Alza tus ojos en derredor, y mira: todos estos se han juntado, vinieron á ti: tus hijos vendrán de lejos, y tus hijas sobre el lado serán criadas.
5Entonces verás y resplandecerás; y se maravillará y ensanchará tu corazón, que se haya vuelto á ti la multitud de la mar, y la fortaleza de las gentes haya venido á ti.
6Multitud de camellos te cubrirá, dromedarios de Madián y de Epha; vendrán todos los de Seba; traerán oro é incienso, y publicarán alabanzas de Jehová.
7Todo el ganado de Cedar será juntado para ti: carneros de Nebayoth te serán servidos: serán ofrecidos con agrado sobre mi altar, y glorificaré la casa de mi gloria.
8¿Quiénes son estos que vuelan como nubes, y como palomas á sus ventanas?
9Ciertamente á mí esperarán las islas, y las naves de Tarsis desde el principio, para traer tus hijos de lejos, su plata y su oro con ellos, al nombre de Jehová tu Dios, y al Santo de Israel, que te ha glorificado.
10Y los hijos de los extranjeros edificarán tus muros, y sus reyes te servirán; porque en mi ira te herí, mas en mi buena voluntad tendré de ti misericordia.
11Tus puertas estarán de continuo abiertas; no se cerrarán de día ni de noche; para que sea traída á ti fortaleza de gentes, y sus reyes conducidos.
12Porque la gente ó el reino que no te sirviere, perecerá; y del todo serán asoladas.
13La gloria del Líbano vendrá á ti, hayas, pinos, y bojes juntamente, para decorar el lugar de mi santuario; y yo honraré el lugar de mis pies.
14Y vendrán á ti humillados los hijos de los que te afligieron, y á las pisadas de tus pies se encorvarán todos los que te escarnecían, y llamarte han Ciudad de Jehová, Sión del Santo de Israel.
15En lugar de que has sido desechada y aborrecida, y que no había quien por ti pasase, ponerte he en gloria perpetua, gozo de generación y generación.
16Y mamarás la leche de las gentes, el pecho de los reyes mamarás; y conocerás que yo Jehová soy el Salvador tuyo, y Redentor tuyo, el Fuerte de Jacob.
17En vez de cobre traeré oro, y por hierro plata, y por madera metal, y en lugar de piedras hierro; y pondré paz por tu tributo, y justicia por tus exactores.
18Nunca más se oirá en tu tierra violencia, destrucción ni quebrantamiento en tus términos; mas á tus muros llamarás Salud, y á tus puertas Alabanza.
19El sol nunca más te servirá de luz para el día, ni el resplandor de la luna te alumbrará; sino que Jehová te será por luz perpetua, y el Dios tuyo por tu gloria.
20No se pondrá jamás tu sol, ni menguará tu luna: porque te será Jehová por luz perpetua, y los días de tu luto serán acabados.
21Y tu pueblo, todos ellos serán justos, para siempre heredarán la tierra; renuevos de mi plantío, obra de mis manos, para glorificarme.
22El pequeño será por mil, el menor, por gente fuerte. Yo Jehová á su tiempo haré que esto sea presto.

1Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
2For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
4Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
5Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
6The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.
7All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
8Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
9Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
10And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.
11Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
12For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
13The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
14The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
15Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
16Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
17For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.
18Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
19The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
20Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
21Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
22A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.

1“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the LORD’s glory has risen on you!
2For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the LORD will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you.
3Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
4“Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather themselves together. They come to you. Your sons will come from far away, and your daughters will be carried in arms.
5Then you shall see and be radiant, and your heart will thrill and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you. The wealth of the nations will come to you.
6A multitude of camels will cover you, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah. All from Sheba will come. They will bring gold and frankincense, and will proclaim the praises of the LORD.
7All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together to you. The rams of Nebaioth will serve you. They will be accepted as offerings on my altar; and I will beautify my glorious house.
8“Who are these who fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
9Surely the islands will wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far away, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of the LORD your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you.
10“Foreigners will build up your walls, and their kings will serve you; for in my wrath I struck you, but in my favor I have had mercy on you.
11Your gates also shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night, that men may bring to you the wealth of the nations, and their kings led captive.
12For that nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; yes, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
13“The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the cypress tree, the pine, and the box tree together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
14The sons of those who afflicted you will come bowing to you; and all those who despised you will bow themselves down at the soles of your feet. They will call you the LORD’s City, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
15“Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no one passed through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
16You will also drink the milk of the nations, and will nurse from royal breasts. Then you will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
17For bronze I will bring gold; for iron I will bring silver; for wood, bronze, and for stones, iron. I will also make peace your governor, and righteousness your ruler.
18Violence shall no more be heard in your land, nor desolation or destruction within your borders; but you will call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.
19The sun will be no more your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon give light to you, but the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.
20Your sun will not go down any more, nor will your moon withdraw itself; for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning will end.
21Then your people will all be righteous. They will inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
22The little one will become a thousand, and the small one a strong nation. I, the LORD, will do this quickly in its time.”
