Isaías 65

1El Señor dice: Gente que nunca antes preguntó por mí, ahora me busca. Naciones que nunca antes me buscaron, ahora me hallan.
2Pero mi propio pueblo —no obstante que el día entero he tenido los brazos abiertos para recibirlos— se ha rebelado; sigue sus propias sendas y pensamientos perversos.
3Todo el día me ofenden cara a cara adorando ídolos en muchos huertos y quemando incienso en las azoteas de sus casas.
4Van por la noche a las tumbas y a las cuevas para adorar malos espíritus, y comen cerdo y otros alimentos prohibidos.
5Pero unos a otros se dicen: «¡No te me acerques mucho, porque me contaminas, porque soy más santo que tú!». Ya no los soporto, día tras día me enfurecen.
6Mira, aquí tengo escrito el decreto: ¡No guardaré silencio, daré a cada quien lo que se merece! Sí, les daré su merecido pago,
7y no sólo por los pecados de ellos, sino por los de sus padres también, dice el Señor, porque también ellos quemaban incienso en los montes y me ofendían en las colinas. Les voy a dar su merecido pago.
8Pero no los destruiré a todos, dice el Señor, porque así como entre los racimos de uvas malas aparecen algunas buenas (y alguien dirá: «¡No las arrojes todas; hay algunas uvas buenas!») no destruiré a todo Israel, porque tengo entre él algunos siervos fieles.
9Preservaré algún remanente de mi pueblo para que posea la tierra de Israel; los que yo seleccione la heredarán y allí me servirán.
10Y para aquellos de mi pueblo que me hayan buscado, los valles de Sarón volverán a estar llenos de rebaños y el valle de Acor será sitio para pastorear manadas.
11Pero ya que el resto de ustedes ha abandonado al Señor y su templo, y adoran dioses de la «Suerte» y del «Destino»,
12yo los «destinaré» a la espada, y su «suerte» será terrible, pues cuando llamé no me respondieron, cuando hablé no quisieron escuchar. Deliberadamente pecaron ante mi vista y resolvieron hacer a sabiendas lo que yo desprecio.
13Por lo tanto, el Señor Dios dice: Ellos morirán de hambre, pero mis siervos tendrán qué comer; padecerán de sed mientras ellos beben; estarán tristes y avergonzados, pero ellos se gozarán;
14llorarán de dolor, disgusto y desesperación, mientras ellos cantan de júbilo.
15Su nombre será anatema entre mi pueblo, porque el Señor Dios los matará y a sus siervos fieles les dará otro nombre.
16Sin embargo, vendrán días cuando todos los que invoquen una bendición o presten juramento lo harán al Dios fiel; porque desecharé mi enojo y olvidaré el mal que hicieron.
17Pues miren, estoy creando un nuevo cielo, y una tierra nueva, tan admirables que nadie volverá a recordar las cosas pasadas.
18¡Alégrense, regocíjense para siempre en mi creación! ¡Miren! Volveré a crear a Jerusalén como sitio de felicidad, y su pueblo siempre estará gozoso.
19Y yo me regocijaré en Jerusalén, y en mi pueblo, y el sonido del llanto y del clamor no se volverá a escuchar allí jamás.
20Jamás volverán a morir los niñitos de pocos días de nacidos, ya no se tendrá por viejos a los hombres de cien años. ¡Únicamente los pecadores morirán a edad tan temprana!
21En aquellos días, cuando un hombre edifique una casa, podrá vivir tranquilo en ella, no será destruida por ejércitos invasores como en el pasado. Mi pueblo plantará viñas y comerá de su fruto, sus enemigos no las confiscarán. Porque mi pueblo vivirá tanto como los árboles y disfrutará por mucho tiempo de lo obtenido con su afanoso esfuerzo.

23Sus cosechas no serán devoradas por sus enemigos. Sus hijos no nacerán para ser carne de cañón. Porque son hijos de aquéllos a quienes el Señor ha bendecido; y sus hijos también serán bendecidos.
24Yo les responderé aun antes de que me invoquen; mientras estén aún contándome sus necesidades, yo procederé a contestar sus súplicas.
25El lobo y el cordero comerán juntos, el león se alimentará de paja como el buey, y la serpiente venenosa no volverá a morder. En aquellos días nada ni nadie recibirá daño ni será destruido en todo mi santo monte, dice el Señor.

1FUÍ buscado de los que no preguntaban por mi; fuí hallado de los que no me buscaban. Dije á gente que no invocaba mi nombre: Heme aquí, heme aquí.
2Extendí mis manos todo el día á pueblo rebelde, el cual anda por camino no bueno, en pos de sus pensamientos;
3Pueblo que en mi cara me provoca de continuo á ira, sacrificando en huertos, y ofreciendo perfume sobre ladrillos;
4Que se quedan en los sepulcros, y en los desiertos tienen la noche; que comen carne de puerco, y en sus ollas hay caldo de cosas inmundas;
5Que dicen: Estáte en tu lugar, no te llegues á mí, que soy más santo que tú: éstos son humo en mi furor, fuego que arde todo el día.
6He aquí que escrito está delante de mí; no callaré, antes retornaré, y daré el pago en su seno,
7Por vuestras iniquidades, y las iniquidades de vuestros padres juntamente, dice Jehová, los cuales hicieron perfume sobre los montes, y sobre los collados me afrentaron: por tanto yo les mediré su obra antigua en su seno.
8Así ha dicho Jehová: Como si alguno hallase mosto en un racimo, y dijese: No lo desperdicies, que bendición hay en él; así haré yo por mis siervos, que no lo destruiré todo.
9Mas sacaré simiente de Jacob, y de Judá heredero de mis montes; y mis escogidos poseerán por heredad la tierra, y mis siervos habitarán allí.
10Y será Sarón para habitación de ovejas, y el valle de Achôr para majada de vacas, á mi pueblo que me buscó.
11Empero vosotros los que dejáis á Jehová, que olvidáis el monte de mi santidad, que ponéis mesa para la Fortuna, y suministráis libaciones para el Destino;
12Yo también os destinaré al cuchillo, y todos vosotros os arrodillaréis al degolladero: por cuanto llamé, y no respondisteis; hablé, y no oisteis; sino que hicisteis lo malo delante de mis ojos, y escogisteis lo que á mí desagrada.
13Por tanto así dijo el Señor Jehová: He aquí que mis siervos comerán, y vosotros tendréis hambre; he aquí que mis siervos beberán, y vosotros tendréis sed; he aquí que mis siervos se alegrarán, y vosotros seréis avergonzados;
14He aquí que mis siervos cantarán por júbilo del corazón, y vosotros clamaréis por el dolor del corazón, y por el quebrantamiento de espíritu aullaréis.
15Y dejaréis vuestro nombre por maldición á mis escogidos, y el Señor Jehová te matará; y á sus siervos llamará por otro nombre.
16El que se bendijere en la tierra, en el Dios de verdad se bendecirá; y el que jurare en la tierra, por el Dios de verdad jurará; porque las angustias primeras serán olvidadas, y serán cubiertas de mis ojos.
17Porque he aquí que yo crío nuevos cielos y nueva tierra: y de lo primero no habrá memoria, ni más vendrá al pensamiento.
18Mas os gozaréis y os alegraréis por siglo de siglo en las cosas que yo crío: porque he aquí que yo crío á Jerusalem alegría, y á su pueblo gozo.
19Y alegraréme con Jerusalem, y gozaréme con mi pueblo; y nunca más se oirán en ella voz de lloro, ni voz de clamor.
20No habrá más allí niño de días, ni viejo que sus días no cumpla: porque el niño morirá de cien años, y el pecador de cien años, será maldito.
21Y edificarán casas, y morarán en ellas; plantarán viñas, y comerán el fruto de ellas.
22No edificarán, y otro morará; no plantarán, y otro comerá: porque según los días de los árboles serán los días de mi pueblo, y mis escogidos perpetuarán las obras de sus manos.
23No trabajarán en vano, ni parirán para maldición; porque son simiente de los benditos de Jehová, y sus descendientes con ellos.
24Y será que antes que clamen, responderé yo; aun estando ellos hablando, yo habré oído.
25El lobo y el cordero serán apacentados juntos, y el león comerá paja como el buey; y á la serpiente el polvo será su comida. No afligirán, ni harán mal en todo mi santo monte, dijo Jehová.

1I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
2I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
3A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;
4Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
5Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.
6Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,
7Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.
8Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants’ sakes, that I may not destroy them all.
9And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
10And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.
11But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.
12Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
13Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
14Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
15And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:
16That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
17For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
20There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
21And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
22They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
24And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
25The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
World English Bible
1“I am inquired of by those who didn’t ask. I am found by those who didn’t seek me. I said, ‘See me, see me,’ to a nation that was not called by my name.
2I have spread out my hands all day to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts;
3a people who provoke me to my face continually, sacrificing in gardens, and burning incense on bricks;
4who sit among the graves, and spend nights in secret places; who eat pig’s meat, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
5who say, ‘Stay by yourself, don’t come near to me, for I am holier than you.’ These are smoke in my nose, a fire that burns all day.
6“Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will repay, yes, I will repay into their bosom
7your own iniquities and the iniquities of your fathers together”, says the LORD, “who have burned incense on the mountains, and blasphemed me on the hills. Therefore I will first measure their work into their bosom.”
8The LORD says, “As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, ‘Don’t destroy it, for a blessing is in it:’ so I will do for my servants’ sake, that I may not destroy them all.
9I will bring offspring out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains. My chosen will inherit it, and my servants will dwell there.

13Therefore the Lord GOD says, “Behold, my servants will eat, but you will be hungry; behold, my servants will drink, but you will be thirsty. Behold, my servants will rejoice, but you will be disappointed.
14Behold, my servants will sing for joy of heart, but you will cry for sorrow of heart, and will wail for anguish of spirit.
15You will leave your name for a curse to my chosen, and the Lord GOD will kill you. He will call his servants by another name,
16so that he who blesses himself in the earth will bless himself in the God of truth; and he who swears in the earth will swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hidden from my eyes.
