Amènerais-je jusqu’au moment de l’enfantement, et je ne ferais pas enfanter ? dit l’Éternel. Moi, qui fais enfanter, je fermerais †la matrice ? dit ton Dieu.

Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.

Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to be delivered?” says the LORD. “Shall I who cause to give birth shut the womb?” says your God.
