1En el año de la muerte del rey Uzías, vi al Señor sentado en su lugar, alto y elevado, y el Templo estaba lleno de las amplias orlas de su túnica.
2Sobre él estaban los serafines: cada uno tenía seis alas; dos para cubrir su rostro, dos para cubrir sus pies y dos para volar.
3Y uno dijo en voz alta a otro: Santo, santo, santo, es el Señor de los ejércitos; toda la tierra está llena de su gloria.
4Y las bases de los pilares de las puertas temblaban al oír su clamor, y la casa estaba llena de humo.
5Entonces dije: La maldición está sobre mí, y mi destino es la destrucción; porque soy hombre de labios inmundos, que vivo entre gente de labios inmundos; porque mis ojos han visto al rey, el señor de los ejércitos.
6Entonces vino a mí un serafín con un carbón ardiendo en su mano, que había sacado del altar con las tenazas de fuego.
7Y después de tocar mi boca con él, dijo: Mira, tus labios han sido tocados con esto; y tu mal es quitado, y eres limpio del pecado.
8Y la voz del Señor vino a mis oídos, diciendo: ¿A quién enviaré, y quién irá por nosotros? Entonces dije: Heme aquí, envíame.
9Y él dijo: Ve y dile a este pueblo: Seguirás escuchando, pero sin aprender nada; Seguirás viendo, pero sin ser más sabio.
10Engruesa los corazones de este pueblo, y endurece sus oídos, y cierra sus ojos; por temor a que vean con sus ojos, y oigan con sus oídos, y su corazón se vuelva sabio, y puedan volverse hacia mí y sean sanados.
11Entonces dije: Señor, ¿hasta cuándo? Y él respondió en respuesta: Hasta que las ciudades estén destruidas y despobladas, y las casas no tengan hombres, y la tierra se convierta en un completo abandono.
12Y el Señor ha llevado a los hombres lejos, y sea abandonado el país.
13E incluso si todavía hay una décima parte, se quemará de nuevo, como un árbol del bosque cuyo extremo roto todavía está en la tierra después de que el árbol haya sido cortado, la semilla sagrada, es el tronco.

1EN el año que murió el rey Uzzías vi yo al Señor sentado sobre un trono alto y sublime, y sus faldas henchían el templo.
2Y encima de él estaban serafines: cada uno tenía seis alas; con dos cubrían sus rostros, y con dos cubrían sus pies, y con dos volaban.
3Y el uno al otro daba voces, diciendo: Santo, santo, santo, Jehová de los ejércitos: toda la tierra está llena de su gloria.
4Y los quiciales de las puertas se estremecieron con la voz del que clamaba, y la casa se hinchió de humo.
5Entonces dije: ¡Ay de mí! que soy muerto; que siendo hombre inmundo de labios, y habitando en medio de pueblo que tiene labios inmundos, han visto mis ojos al Rey, Jehová de los ejércitos.
6Y voló hacia mí uno de los serafines, teniendo en su mano un carbón encendido, tomado del altar con unas tenazas:
7Y tocando con él sobre mi boca, dijo: He aquí que esto tocó tus labios, y es quitada tu culpa, y limpio tu pecado.
8Después oí la voz del Señor, que decía: ¿A quién enviaré, y quién nos irá? Entonces respondí yo: Heme aquí, envíame á mí.
9Y dijo: Anda, y di á este pueblo: Oid bien, y no entendáis; ved por cierto, mas no comprendáis.
10Engruesa el corazón de aqueste pueblo, y agrava sus oídos, y ciega sus ojos; porque no vea con sus ojos, ni oiga con sus oídos, ni su corazón entienda, ni se convierta, y haya para él sanidad.
11Y yo dije: ¿Hasta cuándo, Señor? Y respondió él: Hasta que las ciudades estén asoladas, y sin morador, ni hombre en las casas, y la tierra sea tornada en desierto;
12Hasta que Jehová hubiere echado lejos los hombres, y multiplicare en medio de la tierra la desamparada.
13Pues aun quedará en ella una décima parte, y volverá, bien que habrá sido asolada: como el olmo y como el alcornoque, de los cuales en la tala queda el tronco, así será el tronco de ella la simiente santa.

1In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
2Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
3And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
5Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
6Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
7And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
8Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
9And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
10Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
11Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
12And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.
13But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.

3One called to another, and said, “Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of Armies! The whole earth is full of his glory!”
4The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.
5Then I said, “Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips, for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of Armies!”
6Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar.
7He touched my mouth with it, and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin forgiven.”
8I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am. Send me!”
9He said, “Go, and tell this people, ‘You hear indeed, but don’t understand. You see indeed, but don’t perceive.’
10Make the heart of this people fat. Make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and turn again, and be healed.”
11Then I said, “Lord, how long?” He answered, “Until cities are waste without inhabitant, houses without man, the land becomes utterly waste,
12and the LORD has removed men far away, and the forsaken places are many within the land.
13If there is a tenth left in it, that also will in turn be consumed, as a terebinth, and as an oak whose stump remains when they are cut down, so the holy seed is its stump.”
