1Und es geschah in den Tagen Ahas', des Sohnes Jothams, des Sohnes Ussijas, des Königs von Juda, da zog Rezin, der König von Syrien, und Pekach, der Sohn Remaljas, der König von Israel, nach Jerusalem hinauf zum Streit wider dasselbe; aber er vermochte nicht wider dasselbe zu streiten.
2Und es wurde dem Hause David berichtet und gesagt: Syrien hat sich in Ephraim gelagert. Da bebte sein Herz und das Herz seines Volkes, wie die Bäume des Waldes vor dem Winde beben.
3Und Jehova sprach zu Jesaja: Geh doch hinaus, dem Ahas entgegen, du und dein Sohn Schear-Jaschub, an das Ende der Wasserleitung des oberen Teiches, nach der Straße des Walkerfeldes hin,
4und sprich zu ihm: Hüte dich und halte dich ruhig; fürchte dich nicht, und dein Herz verzage nicht vor diesen beiden rauchenden Brandscheitstümpfen, bei der Zornglut Rezins und Syriens und des Sohnes Remaljas.
5Darum, daß Syrien Böses wider dich beratschlagt hat, Ephraim und der Sohn Remaljas und gesagt:
6Laßt uns wider Juda hinaufziehen und ihm Grauen einjagen und es uns erobern und den Sohn Tabeels zum König darin machen;
7so spricht der Herr Jehova: Es wird nicht zustande kommen und nicht geschehen.
8Denn Damaskus ist das Haupt von Syrien, und Rezin das Haupt von Damaskus; und in noch fünfundsechzig Jahren wird Ephraim zerschmettert werden, daß es kein Volk mehr sei.
9Und Samaria ist das Haupt von Ephraim, und der Sohn Remaljas das Haupt von Samaria. Wenn ihr nicht glaubet, werdet ihr, fürwahr, keinen Bestand haben!
10Und Jehova fuhr fort, zu Ahas zu reden, und sprach:
11Fordere dir ein Zeichen von Jehova, deinem Gott; fordere es in der Tiefe oder oben in der Höhe.
12Und Ahas sprach: Ich will nicht fordern und will Jehova nicht versuchen.
13Da sprach er: Höret doch, Haus David! Ist es euch zu wenig, Menschen zu ermüden, daß ihr auch meinen Gott ermüdet?
14Darum wird der Herr selbst euch ein Zeichen geben: Siehe, die Jungfrau wird schwanger werden und einen Sohn gebären, und wird seinen Namen Immanuel heißen.
15Rahm und Honig wird er essen, wenn er weiß, das Böse zu verwerfen und das Gute zu erwählen.
16Denn ehe der Knabe weiß, das Böse zu verwerfen und das Gute zu erwählen, wird das Land verlassen sein, vor dessen beiden Königen dir graut.
17Jehova wird über dich und über dein Volk und über das Haus deines Vaters Tage kommen lassen, wie sie nicht gekommen sind seit dem Tage, da Ephraim von Juda gewichen ist, den König von Assyrien.
18Und es wird geschehen an jenem Tage, da wird Jehova die Fliege, die am Ende der Ströme Ägyptens, und die Biene, die im Lande Assyrien ist, herbeizischen.
19Und sie werden kommen und sich allesamt niederlassen in den Tälern der steilen Höhen und in den Spalten der Felsen und in allen Dornstäuchern und auf allen Triften.
20An jenem Tage wird der Herr durch ein gedungenes Schermesser, auf der anderen Seite des Stromes, durch den König von Assyrien, das Haupt und das Haar der Beine abscheren; ja, auch den Bart wird es wegnehmen.
21Und es wird geschehen an jenem Tage, daß jemand eine junge Kuh und zwei Schafe füttern wird.
22Und es wird geschehen, wegen der Menge des Milchertrags wird er Rahm essen, denn Rahm und Honig wird jeder essen, der im Lande übriggeblieben ist.
23Und es wird geschehen an jenem Tage, daß jeder Ort, wo tausend Weinstöcke von tausend Silbersekel waren, zu Dornen und Disteln geworden sein wird.
24Mit Pfeilen und mit Bogen wird man dorthin kommen; denn das ganze Land wird Dornen und Disteln sein.
25(07:24) Und alle Berge, die mit der Hacke behackt wurden, dahin wirst du nicht kommen, aus Furcht vor Dornen und Disteln; und sie werden ein Ort sein, wohin man Rinder treibt, und welcher vom Kleinvieh zertreten wird.

1ACONTECIÓ en los días de Achâz hijo de Jotham, hijo de Uzzías, rey de Judá, que Rezín rey de Siria, y Peca hijo de Remalías, rey de Israel, subieron á Jerusalem para combatirla; mas no la pudieron tomar.
2Y vino la nueva á la casa de David, diciendo: Siria se ha confederado con Ephraim. Y estremeciósele el corazón, y el corazón de su pueblo, como se estremecen los árboles del monte á causa del viento.
3Entonces dijo Jehová á Isaías: Sal ahora al encuentro de Achâz, tú, y Sear-jasub tu hijo, al cabo del conducto de la Pesquera de arriba, en el camino de la heredad del Lavador,
4Y dile: Guarda, y repósate; no temas, ni se enternezca tu corazón á causa de estos dos cabos de tizón que humean, por el furor de la ira de Rezín y del Siro, y del hijo de Remalías.
5Por haber acordado maligno consejo contra ti el Siro, con Ephraim y con el hijo de Remalías, diciendo:
6Vamos contra Judá, y la despertaremos, y la partiremos entre nosotros, y pondremos en medio de ella por rey al hijo de Tabeel:
7El Señor Jehová dice así: No subsistirá, ni será.
8Porque la cabeza de Siria es Damasco, y la cabeza de Damasco, Rezín: y dentro de sesenta y cinco años Ephraim será quebrantado hasta dejar de ser pueblo.
9Entretanto la cabeza de Ephraim es Samaria, y la cabeza de Samaria el hijo de Remalías. Si vosotros no creyereis, de cierto no permaneceréis.
10Y habló más Jehová á Achâz, diciendo:
11Pide para ti señal de Jehová tu Dios, demandándola en lo profundo, ó arriba en lo alto.
12Y respondió Achâz: No pediré, y no tentaré á Jehová.
13Dijo entonces Isaías: Oid ahora, casa de David. ¿Os es poco el ser molestos á los hombres, sino que también lo seáis á mi Dios?
14Por tanto el mismo Señor os dará señal: He aquí que la virgen concebirá, y parirá hijo, y llamará su nombre Emmanuel.
15Comerá manteca y miel, para que sepa desechar lo malo y escoger lo bueno.
16Porque antes que el niño sepa desechar lo malo y escoger lo bueno, la tierra que tú aborreces será dejada de sus dos reyes.
17Jehová hará venir sobre ti, y sobre tu pueblo, y sobre la casa de tu padre, días cuales nunca vinieron desde el día que Ephraim se apartó de Judá, es á saber, al rey de Asiria.
18Y acontecerá que aquel día silbará Jehová á la mosca que está en el fin de los ríos de Egipto, y á la abeja que está en la tierra de Asiria.
19Y vendrán, y se asentarán todos en los valles desiertos, y en las cavernas de las piedras, y en todos los zarzales, y en todas las matas.
20En aquel día raerá el Señor con navaja alquilada, con los que habitan de la otra parte del río, á saber, con el rey de Asiria, cabeza y pelos de los pies; y aun la barba también quitará.
21Y acontecerá en aquel tiempo, que críe un hombre una vaca y dos ovejas;
22Y será que á causa de la abundancia de leche que darán, comerá manteca: cierto manteca y miel comerá el que quedare en medio de la tierra.
23Acontecerá también en aquel tiempo, que el lugar donde había mil vides que valían mil siclos de plata, será para los espinos y cardos.
24Con saetas y arco irán allá; porque toda la tierra será espinos y cardos.
25Y á todos los montes que se cavaban con azada, no llegará allá el temor de los espinos y de los cardos: mas serán para pasto de bueyes, y para ser hollados de los ganados.
King James Version
1And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.
2And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.
3Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-jashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s field;
4And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
5Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,
6Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:
7Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.
8For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people.
9And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
10Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,
11Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.
12But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.
13And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?
14Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
15Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
16For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.
17The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father’s house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.
18And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
19And they shall come, and shall rest all of them in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rocks, and upon all thorns, and upon all bushes.
20In the same day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired, namely, by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the beard.
21And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall nourish a young cow, and two sheep;
22And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.
23And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place shall be, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, it shall even be for briers and thorns.
24With arrows and with bows shall men come thither; because all the land shall become briers and thorns.
25And on all hills that shall be digged with the mattock, there shall not come thither the fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of lesser cattle.

1In the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, Rezin the king of Syria and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.
2David’s house was told, “Syria is allied with Ephraim.” His heart trembled, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest tremble with the wind.
3Then the LORD said to Isaiah, “Go out now to meet Ahaz, you, and Shearjashub your son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, on the highway of the fuller’s field.
4Tell him, ‘Be careful, and keep calm. Don’t be afraid, neither let your heart be faint because of these two tails of smoking torches, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
5Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have plotted evil against you, saying,
6“Let’s go up against Judah, and tear it apart, and let’s divide it among ourselves, and set up a king within it, even the son of Tabeel.”
7This is what the Lord GOD says: “It shall not stand, neither shall it happen.”
8For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin. Within sixty-five years Ephraim shall be broken in pieces, so that it shall not be a people.
9The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If you will not believe, surely you shall not be established.’”
10The LORD spoke again to Ahaz, saying,
11“Ask a sign of the LORD your God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.”
12But Ahaz said, “I won’t ask. I won’t tempt the LORD.”
13He said, “Listen now, house of David. Is it not enough for you to try the patience of men, that you will try the patience of my God also?
14Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin will conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
15He shall eat butter and honey when he knows to refuse the evil and choose the good.
16For before the child knows to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land whose two kings you abhor shall be forsaken.
17The LORD will bring on you, on your people, and on your father’s house days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah, even the king of Assyria.
18It will happen in that day that the LORD will whistle for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
19They shall come, and shall all rest in the desolate valleys, in the clefts of the rocks, on all thorn hedges, and on all pastures.
20In that day the Lord will shave with a razor that is hired in the parts beyond the River, even with the king of Assyria, the head and the hair of the feet; and it shall also consume the beard.
21It shall happen in that day that a man shall keep alive a young cow, and two sheep.
22It shall happen, that because of the abundance of milk which they shall give he shall eat butter, for everyone will eat butter and honey that is left within the land.
23It will happen in that day that every place where there were a thousand vines worth a thousand silver shekels, will be for briers and thorns.
24People will go there with arrows and with bow, because all the land will be briers and thorns.
25All the hills that were cultivated with the hoe, you shall not come there for fear of briers and thorns; but it shall be for the sending out of oxen, and for sheep to tread on.”
