II arriva, du temps d'Achaz, fils de Jotham, fils d'Ouzia, roi de Juda, que Recîn, roi de Syrie, de concert avec Pékah, fils de Remaliahou, roi d'Israël, marcha sur Jérusalem pour l'attaquer, mais ne put triompher d'elle.
ACONTECIÓ en los días de Achâz hijo de Jotham, hijo de Uzzías, rey de Judá, que Rezín rey de Siria, y Peca hijo de Remalías, rey de Israel, subieron á Jerusalem para combatirla; mas no la pudieron tomar.
And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.

Quand la maison de David apprit cette nouvelle: "Le Syrien est venu camper avec Ephraïm," son cœur et le cœur de son peuple en frissonnèrent, comme les arbres d'une forêt frissonnent sous le vent.
Y vino la nueva á la casa de David, diciendo: Siria se ha confederado con Ephraim. Y estremeciósele el corazón, y el corazón de su pueblo, como se estremecen los árboles del monte á causa del viento.
And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.
David’s house was told, “Syria is allied with Ephraim.” His heart trembled, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest tremble with the wind.
L'Eternel dit alors à Isaïe: "Rends-toi au-devant d'Achaz, toi et Chear-Yachoub, ton fils, vers l'extrémité du canal de la Piscine supérieure, sur la chaussée qui conduit au champ du Foulon.
Entonces dijo Jehová á Isaías: Sal ahora al encuentro de Achâz, tú, y Sear-jasub tu hijo, al cabo del conducto de la Pesquera de arriba, en el camino de la heredad del Lavador,
Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-jashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s field;
Then the LORD said to Isaiah, “Go out now to meet Ahaz, you, and Shearjashub your son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, on the highway of the fuller’s field.
Et tu lui diras: N'aie garde de perdre ton calme, sois sans crainte et ne laisse pas défaillir ton cœur devant ces deux bouts de tisons fumeux devant la colère de Recin et d'Aram, et du fils de Remaliahou.
Y dile: Guarda, y repósate; no temas, ni se enternezca tu corazón á causa de estos dos cabos de tizón que humean, por el furor de la ira de Rezín y del Siro, y del hijo de Remalías.
And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
Tell him, ‘Be careful, and keep calm. Don’t be afraid, neither let your heart be faint because of these two tails of smoking torches, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
Puisque Aram a formé contre toi de mauvais desseins, ainsi qu'Ephraïm et le fils de Remaliahou, et qu'ils ont dit:
Por haber acordado maligno consejo contra ti el Siro, con Ephraim y con el hijo de Remalías, diciendo:
Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,

"Marchons contre Juda, réduisons-le à l'extrémité, forçons-le de se rendre à nous, puis nous lui imposerons comme roi le fils de Tabeal,"
Vamos contra Judá, y la despertaremos, y la partiremos entre nosotros, y pondremos en medio de ella por rey al hijo de Tabeel:
Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:
“Let’s go up against Judah, and tear it apart, and let’s divide it among ourselves, and set up a king within it, even the son of Tabeel.”
ainsi a parlé le Seigneur-Elohim: Cela ne s'accomplira ni ne sera!"
El Señor Jehová dice así: No subsistirá, ni será.
Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.
This is what the Lord GOD says: “It shall not stand, neither shall it happen.”
Car la tête d'Aram, c'est Damas, et la tète de Damas, c'est Recin; (or dans soixante-cinq ans, Ephraïrn, déchu, cessera d'être une nation).
Porque la cabeza de Siria es Damasco, y la cabeza de Damasco, Rezín: y dentro de sesenta y cinco años Ephraim será quebrantado hasta dejar de ser pueblo.
For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people.

L'Eternel, continuant de parler à Achaz, lui dit:
Y habló más Jehová á Achâz, diciendo:
Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,
The LORD spoke again to Ahaz, saying,
"Demande un signe de la part de l'Eternel, ton Dieu, que ta demande s'applique aux régions d'en bas ou aux sphères supérieures.
Pide para ti señal de Jehová tu Dios, demandándola en lo profundo, ó arriba en lo alto.
Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.
“Ask a sign of the LORD your God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.”
Je n'en demanderai pas, répliqua Achaz: je ne veux pas mettre l'Eternel à l'épreuve."
Y respondió Achâz: No pediré, y no tentaré á Jehová.
But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.
But Ahaz said, “I won’t ask. I won’t tempt the LORD.”
Alors le prophète reprit: "Ecoutez-donc, maison de David! Est-ce trop peu pour vous de lasser les hommes que vous vouliez encore lasser mon Dieu?
Dijo entonces Isaías: Oid ahora, casa de David. ¿Os es poco el ser molestos á los hombres, sino que también lo seáis á mi Dios?
And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?
He said, “Listen now, house of David. Is it not enough for you to try the patience of men, that you will try the patience of my God also?
Ah certes! Le Seigneur vous donne de lui-même un signe: Voici, la jeune femme est devenue enceinte, elle va mettre au monde un fils, qu'elle appellera Immanouel.
Por tanto el mismo Señor os dará señal: He aquí que la virgen concebirá, y parirá hijo, y llamará su nombre Emmanuel.

Or, avant même que l'enfant sache repousser le mal et choisir le bien, la région dont les deux rois te causent des angoisses sera devenue une solitude,
Porque antes que el niño sepa desechar lo malo y escoger lo bueno, la tierra que tú aborreces será dejada de sus dos reyes.
For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.

le Seigneur suscitera contre toi, contre ton peuple et la maison de ton père des jours tels qu'il n'y en a pas eu depuis qu'Ephraïm s'est séparé de Juda et cela grâce au roi d'Assyrie.
Jehová hará venir sobre ti, y sobre tu pueblo, y sobre la casa de tu padre, días cuales nunca vinieron desde el día que Ephraim se apartó de Judá, es á saber, al rey de Asiria.
The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father’s house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.

En ce temps, le Seigneur appellera, par un sifflement, les moustiques qui sont sur les bords des canaux de l'Egypte et les frelons qui vivent en Assyrie;
Y acontecerá que aquel día silbará Jehová á la mosca que está en el fin de los ríos de Egipto, y á la abeja que está en la tierra de Asiria.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.

ils viendront s'abattre tous ensemble sur les vallons incultes, dans les fissures des rochers, dans tous les buissons et toutes les broussailles.

En aquel día raerá el Señor con navaja alquilada, con los que habitan de la otra parte del río, á saber, con el rey de Asiria, cabeza y pelos de los pies; y aun la barba también quitará.

En ces temps, chaque individu pourra entretenir une génisse et deux brebis,
Y acontecerá en aquel tiempo, que críe un hombre una vaca y dos ovejas;
And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall nourish a young cow, and two sheep;

et il en recueillera une telle quantité de lait qu'il se nourrira de crème. Oui, quiconque aura eu la vie sauve dans le pays pourra se nourrir de crème et de miel.
Y será que á causa de la abundancia de leche que darán, comerá manteca: cierto manteca y miel comerá el que quedare en medio de la tierra.
And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.

Il arrivera encore, à la même époque, que tout terrain portant mille pieds de vigne d'une valeur de mille sicles, sera envahi par les ronces et les épines.
Acontecerá también en aquel tiempo, que el lugar donde había mil vides que valían mil siclos de plata, será para los espinos y cardos.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place shall be, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, it shall even be for briers and thorns.

On ne s'y rendra qu'armé de flèches et de carquois, tant le sol tout entier sera devenu la proie des ronces et des chardons.
Con saetas y arco irán allá; porque toda la tierra será espinos y cardos.
With arrows and with bows shall men come thither; because all the land shall become briers and thorns.
People will go there with arrows and with bow, because all the land will be briers and thorns.
Quant aux montagnes qu'on laboure au moyen de la bêche, on ne les abordera même pas, par crainte des ronces et des chardons; on y lâchera les bœufs, et elles seront foulées par les brebis.
Y á todos los montes que se cavaban con azada, no llegará allá el temor de los espinos y de los cardos: mas serán para pasto de bueyes, y para ser hollados de los ganados.
And on all hills that shall be digged with the mattock, there shall not come thither the fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of lesser cattle.
All the hills that were cultivated with the hoe, you shall not come there for fear of briers and thorns; but it shall be for the sending out of oxen, and for sheep to tread on.”
