Moreover the LORD said unto me, Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a man’s pen concerning Maher-shalal-hash-baz.
The LORD said to me, “Take a large tablet, and write on it with a man’s pen, ‘For Maher Shalal Hash Baz’;
und ich will mir zuverlässige Zeugen nehmen: Urija, den Priester, und Sacharja, den Sohn Jeberekjas.
Y junté conmigo por testigos fieles á Urías sacerdote, y á Zacarías hijo de Jeberechîas.
And I took unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.
and I will take for myself faithful witnesses to testify: Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.”
Und ich nahte der Prophetin, und sie wurde schwanger und gebar einen Sohn. Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Gib ihm den Namen: „Es eilt der Raub, bald kommt die Beute“.

And I went unto the prophetess; and she conceived, and bare a son. Then said the LORD to me, Call his name Maher-shalal-hash-baz.

Denn ehe der Knabe zu rufen weiß: „Mein Vater“ und „Meine Mutter“, wird man vor dem König von Assyrien hertragen den Reichtum von Damaskus und die Beute von Samaria.
Porque antes que el niño sepa decir, Padre mío, y Madre mía, será quitada la fuerza de Damasco y los despojos de Samaria, en la presencia del rey de Asiria.
For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.
For before the child knows how to say, ‘My father’ and ‘My mother,’ the riches of Damascus and the plunder of Samaria will be carried away by the king of Assyria.”
Und der HERR fuhr fort, weiter zu mir zu reden, und sprach:

Weil dieses Volk die Wasser von Siloah verachtet, die still fließen, und Freude hat an Rezin und an dem Sohn Remaljas:
Por cuanto desechó este pueblo las aguas de Siloé, que corren mansamente, y holgóse con Rezín y con el hijo de Remalías;
Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;
“Because this people has refused the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;
darum, siehe, lässt der Herr über sie heraufkommen die Wasser des Stromes, die mächtigen und großen – den König von Assyrien und all seine Herrlichkeit; und er wird über alle seine Betten steigen und über alle seine Ufer gehen.
He aquí por tanto que el Señor hace subir sobre ellos aguas de ríos, impetuosas y muchas, á saber, al rey de Asiria con todo su poder; el cual subirá sobre todos sus ríos, y pasará sobre todas sus riberas:
Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:
now therefore, behold, the Lord brings upon them the mighty flood waters of the River: the king of Assyria and all his glory. It will come up over all its channels, and go over all its banks.
Und er wird in Juda eindringen, überschwemmen und überfluten; bis an den Hals wird er reichen. Und die Ausdehnung seiner Flügel wird die Breite deines Landes füllen, Immanuel!
Y pasando hasta Judá, inundará, y sobrepujará, y llegará hasta la garganta; y extendiendo sus alas, llenará la anchura de tu tierra, oh Emmanuel.
And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.
It will sweep onward into Judah. It will overflow and pass through. It will reach even to the neck. The stretching out of its wings will fill the width of your land, O Immanuel.
Tobt, ihr Völker, und werdet zerschmettert! Und nehmt es zu Ohren, alle ihr Fernen der Erde! Gürtet euch und werdet zerschmettert, gürtet euch und werdet zerschmettert!
Juntaos, pueblos, y seréis quebrantados; oid todos los que sois de lejanas tierras: poneos á punto, y seréis quebrantados; apercibíos, y seréis quebrantados.
Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.
Make an uproar, you peoples, and be broken in pieces! Listen, all you from far countries: dress for battle, and be shattered! Dress for battle, and be shattered!
Beschließt einen Ratschlag, und er soll vereitelt werden; redet ein Wort, und es soll nicht zustande kommen; denn Gott ist mit uns.
Tomad consejo, y será deshecho; proferid palabra, y no será firme: porque Dios con nosotros.
Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.

Denn so hat der HERR zu mir gesprochen, indem seine Hand stark auf mir war und er mich warnte, nicht auf dem Weg dieses Volkes zu wandeln:
Porque Jehová me dijo de esta manera con mano fuerte, y enseñóme que no caminase por el camino de este pueblo, diciendo:
For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying,

Ihr sollt nicht alles Verschwörung nennen, was dieses Volk Verschwörung nennt; und fürchtet nicht ihre Furcht und erschreckt nicht davor.
No digáis, Conjuración, á todas las cosas á que este pueblo dice, Conjuración; ni temáis lo que temen, ni tengáis miedo.
Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.
“Don’t call a conspiracy all that this people call a conspiracy. Don’t fear their threats or be terrorized.
Den HERRN der Heerscharen, den sollt ihr heiligen; und er sei eure Furcht, und er sei euer Schrecken.
A Jehová de los ejércitos, á él santificad: sea él vuestro temor, y él sea vuestro miedo.
Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.
The LORD of Armies is who you must respect as holy. He is the one you must fear. He is the one you must dread.
Und er wird zum Heiligtum sein, aber zum Stein des Anstoßes und zum Fels des Stürzens den beiden Häusern Israels, zur Schlinge und zum Fallstrick den Bewohnern von Jerusalem.
Entonces él será por santuario; mas á las dos casas de Israel por piedra para tropezar, y por tropezadero para caer, y por lazo y por red al morador de Jerusalem.
And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
He will be a sanctuary, but for both houses of Israel, he will be a stumbling stone and a rock that makes them fall. For the people of Jerusalem, he will be a trap and a snare.
Und viele unter ihnen werden stolpern und werden fallen und zerschmettert und verstrickt und gefangen werden.
Y muchos tropezarán entre ellos, y caerán, y serán quebrantados: enredaránse, y serán presos.
And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.
Many will stumble over it, fall, be broken, be snared, and be captured.”
Binde das Zeugnis zu, versiegle das Gesetz unter meinen Jüngern.
Ata el testimonio, sella la ley entre mis discípulos.
Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

Und ich will auf den HERRN harren, der sein Angesicht verbirgt vor dem Haus Jakob, und will auf ihn hoffen.
Esperaré pues á Jehová, el cual escondió su rostro de la casa de Jacob, y á él aguardaré.
And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.
I will wait for the LORD, who hides his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.
Siehe, ich und die Kinder, die der HERR mir gegeben hat, wir sind zu Zeichen und zu Wundern in Israel, vor dem HERRN der Heerscharen, der auf dem Berg Zion wohnt.
He aquí, yo y los hijos que me dió Jehová, por señales y prodigios en Israel, de parte de Jehová de los ejércitos que mora en el monte de Sión.
Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.
Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of Armies, who dwells in Mount Zion.
Und wenn sie zu euch sprechen werden: Befragt die Totenbeschwörer und die Wahrsager, die flüstern und murmeln, so sprecht: Soll nicht ein Volk seinen Gott befragen? soll es für die Lebenden die Toten befragen?
Y si os dijeren: Preguntad á los pythones y á los adivinos, que susurran hablando, responded: ¿No consultará el pueblo á su Dios? ¿Apelará por los vivos á los muertos?
And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
When they tell you, “Consult with those who have familiar spirits and with the wizards, who chirp and who mutter,” shouldn’t a people consult with their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?
Zum Gesetz und zum Zeugnis! Wenn sie nicht nach diesem Wort sprechen, so gibt es für sie keine Morgenröte.
¡A la ley y al testimonio! Si no dijeren conforme á esto, es porque no les ha amanecido.
To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Turn to the law and to the covenant! If they don’t speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.
Und es wird darin umherziehen, schwer gedrückt und hungernd. Und es wird geschehen, wenn es Hunger leidet, so wird es erzürnt sein und seinen König und seinen Gott verfluchen.
Y pasarán por él fatigados y hambrientos, y acontecerá que teniendo hambre, se enojarán y maldecirán á su rey y á su Dios, levantando el rostro en alto.
And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.
They will pass through it, very distressed and hungry. It will happen that when they are hungry, they will worry, and curse their king and their God. They will turn their faces upward,
Und es wird aufwärts schauen und wird zur Erde blicken: und siehe, Drangsal und Finsternis, angstvolles Dunkel; und in dichte Finsternis ist es hineingestoßen.
Y mirarán á la tierra, y he aquí tribulación y tiniebla, oscuridad y angustia; y serán sumidos en las tinieblas.
And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness.
then look to the earth and see distress, darkness, and the gloom of anguish. They will be driven into thick darkness.
Doch nicht bleibt Finsternis dem Land, das Bedrängnis hat. Um die erste Zeit hat er das Land Sebulon und das Land Naphtali verächtlich gemacht; und in der letzten bringt er zu Ehren den Weg am Meer, das Jenseitige des Jordan, den Kreis der Nationen.
