Isaías 8

L’Eterno mi disse: “Prenditi una tavoletta grande e scrivici sopra in carattere leggibili: “Affrettate il saccheggio! Presto, al bottino!”

Y DÍJOME Jehová: Tómate un gran volumen, y escribe en él en estilo de hombre tocante á Maher-salal-hash-baz.

Moreover the LORD said unto me, Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a man’s pen concerning Maher-shalal-hash-baz.

The LORD said to me, “Take a large tablet, and write on it with a man’s pen, ‘For Maher Shalal Hash Baz’;

E presi meco come testimoni, dei testimoni fededegni: il sacerdote Uria e Zaccaria, figliuolo di Jeberekia.

Y junté conmigo por testigos fieles á Urías sacerdote, y á Zacarías hijo de Jeberechîas.

And I took unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.

and I will take for myself faithful witnesses to testify: Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.”

M’accostai pure alla profetessa, ed ella concepì e partorì un figliuolo. Allora l’Eterno mi disse: “Chiamalo Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz;

Y juntéme con la profetisa, la cual concibió, y parió un hijo. Y díjome Jehová: Ponle por nombre Maher-salal-hash-baz.

And I went unto the prophetess; and she conceived, and bare a son. Then said the LORD to me, Call his name Maher-shalal-hash-baz.

I went to the prophetess, and she conceived, and bore a son. Then the LORD said to me, “Call his name ‘Maher Shalal Hash Baz.’

poiché prima che il bambino sappia gridare: Padre mio, Madre mia, le ricchezze di Damasco e il bottino di Samaria saran portati davanti al re d’Assiria”.

Porque antes que el niño sepa decir, Padre mío, y Madre mía, será quitada la fuerza de Damasco y los despojos de Samaria, en la presencia del rey de Asiria.

For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.

For before the child knows how to say, ‘My father’ and ‘My mother,’ the riches of Damascus and the plunder of Samaria will be carried away by the king of Assyria.”

E l’Eterno mi parlò ancora e mi disse:

Otra vez tornó Jehová á hablarme, diciendo:

The LORD spake also unto me again, saying,

The LORD spoke to me yet again, saying,

poiché questo popolo ha sprezzato le acque di Siloe che corrono placidamente, e si rallegra a motivo di Retsin e del figliuolo di Remalia,

Por cuanto desechó este pueblo las aguas de Siloé, que corren mansamente, y holgóse con Rezín y con el hijo de Remalías;

Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;

“Because this people has refused the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;

perciò ecco, il Signore sta per far salire su loro le potenti e grandi acque del fiume, cioè il re d’Assiria e tutta la sua gloria; esso s’eleverà da per tutto sopra il suo livello, e strariperà su tutte le sponde.

He aquí por tanto que el Señor hace subir sobre ellos aguas de ríos, impetuosas y muchas, á saber, al rey de Asiria con todo su poder; el cual subirá sobre todos sus ríos, y pasará sobre todas sus riberas:

Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:

now therefore, behold, the Lord brings upon them the mighty flood waters of the River: the king of Assyria and all his glory. It will come up over all its channels, and go over all its banks.

Passerà sopra Giuda, inonderà, e passerà oltre; arriverà fino al collo, e le sue ali spiegate copriranno tutta la larghezza del tuo paese, o Emmanuele!

Y pasando hasta Judá, inundará, y sobrepujará, y llegará hasta la garganta; y extendiendo sus alas, llenará la anchura de tu tierra, oh Emmanuel.

And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.

It will sweep onward into Judah. It will overflow and pass through. It will reach even to the neck. The stretching out of its wings will fill the width of your land, O Immanuel.

Mandate pur gridi di guerra, o popoli; sarete frantumati! Prestate orecchio, o voi tutti di paesi lontani! Preparatevi pure alla lotta; sarete frantumati!

Juntaos, pueblos, y seréis quebrantados; oid todos los que sois de lejanas tierras: poneos á punto, y seréis quebrantados; apercibíos, y seréis quebrantados.

Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.

Make an uproar, you peoples, and be broken in pieces! Listen, all you from far countries: dress for battle, and be shattered! Dress for battle, and be shattered!

Fate pure de’ piani, e saranno sventati! Dite pur la parola, e rimarrà senza effetto, perché Dio è con noi.

Tomad consejo, y será deshecho; proferid palabra, y no será firme: porque Dios con nosotros.

Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.

Take counsel together, and it will be brought to nothing; speak the word, and it will not stand, for God is with us.”

Poiché così m’ha parlato l’Eterno, quando la sua mano m’ha afferrato, ed egli m’ha avvertito di non camminare per la via di questo popolo, dicendo:

Porque Jehová me dijo de esta manera con mano fuerte, y enseñóme que no caminase por el camino de este pueblo, diciendo:

For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying,

For the LORD spoke this to me with a strong hand, and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,

“Non chiamate congiura tutto ciò che questo popolo chiama congiura; e non temete ciò ch’esso teme, e non vi spaventate.

No digáis, Conjuración, á todas las cosas á que este pueblo dice, Conjuración; ni temáis lo que temen, ni tengáis miedo.

Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.

“Don’t call a conspiracy all that this people call a conspiracy. Don’t fear their threats or be terrorized.

L’Eterno degli eserciti, quello, santificate! Sia lui quello che temete e paventate!

A Jehová de los ejércitos, á él santificad: sea él vuestro temor, y él sea vuestro miedo.

Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.

The LORD of Armies is who you must respect as holy. He is the one you must fear. He is the one you must dread.

Ed gli sarà un santuario, ma anche una pietra d’intoppo, un sasso d’inciampo per le due case d’Israele, un laccio e una rete per gli abitanti di Gerusalemme.

Entonces él será por santuario; mas á las dos casas de Israel por piedra para tropezar, y por tropezadero para caer, y por lazo y por red al morador de Jerusalem.

And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

He will be a sanctuary, but for both houses of Israel, he will be a stumbling stone and a rock that makes them fall. For the people of Jerusalem, he will be a trap and a snare.

Molti fra loro inciamperanno, cadranno, saranno infranti, rimarranno nel laccio, e saranno presi”.

Y muchos tropezarán entre ellos, y caerán, y serán quebrantados: enredaránse, y serán presos.

And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.

Many will stumble over it, fall, be broken, be snared, and be captured.”

“Chiudi questa testimonianza, suggella questa legge fra i miei discepoli”.

Ata el testimonio, sella la ley entre mis discípulos.

Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

Wrap up the covenant. Seal the law among my disciples.

Io aspetto l’Eterno che nasconde la sua faccia alla casa di Giacobbe; in lui ripongo la mia speranza.

Esperaré pues á Jehová, el cual escondió su rostro de la casa de Jacob, y á él aguardaré.

And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

I will wait for the LORD, who hides his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

Ecco me, e i figliuoli che l’Eterno m’ha dati; noi siam de’ segni e dei presagi in Israele da parte dell’Eterno degli Eserciti, che abita sul monte Sion.

He aquí, yo y los hijos que me dió Jehová, por señales y prodigios en Israel, de parte de Jehová de los ejércitos que mora en el monte de Sión.

Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of Armies, who dwells in Mount Zion.

Se vi si dice: “Consultate quelli che evocano gli spiriti e gli indovini, quelli che susurranno e bisbigliano”, rispondete: “Un popolo non dev’egli consultare il suo Dio? Si rivolgerà egli ai morti a pro de’ vivi?”

Y si os dijeren: Preguntad á los pythones y á los adivinos, que susurran hablando, responded: ¿No consultará el pueblo á su Dios? ¿Apelará por los vivos á los muertos?

And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?

When they tell you, “Consult with those who have familiar spirits and with the wizards, who chirp and who mutter,” shouldn’t a people consult with their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?

Alla legge! alla testimonianza! Se il popolo non parla così, non vi sarà per lui alcuna aurora!

¡A la ley y al testimonio! Si no dijeren conforme á esto, es porque no les ha amanecido.

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Turn to the law and to the covenant! If they don’t speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.

Andrà errando per il paese, affranto, affamato; e quando avrà fame, s’irriterà, maledirà il suo re e il suo Dio. Volgerà lo sguardo in alto,

Y pasarán por él fatigados y hambrientos, y acontecerá que teniendo hambre, se enojarán y maldecirán á su rey y á su Dios, levantando el rostro en alto.

And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.

They will pass through it, very distressed and hungry. It will happen that when they are hungry, they will worry, and curse their king and their God. They will turn their faces upward,

lo volgerà verso la terra, ed ecco, non vedrà che distretta, tenebre, oscurità piena d’angoscia, e sarà sospinto in fitta tenebria.

Y mirarán á la tierra, y he aquí tribulación y tiniebla, oscuridad y angustia; y serán sumidos en las tinieblas.

And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness.

then look to the earth and see distress, darkness, and the gloom of anguish. They will be driven into thick darkness.
