Denn die Sonne geht (ging ) mit dem heißen Wind auf und vertrocknet (vertrocknete) das Gras und seine Blüte fällt (fiel) ab, und die Schönheit ihres Aussehens vergeht (verging). Genau so wird auch der Reiche auf seinen Reisen (in seinem Lebenswandel) verwelken (dahinschwinden).
Porque salido el sol con ardor, la hierba se secó, y su flor se cayó, y pereció su hermosa apariencia: así también se marchitará el rico en todos sus caminos.
For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
For the sun arises with the scorching wind and withers the grass; and the flower in it falls, and the beauty of its appearance perishes. So the rich man will also fade away in his pursuits.
