Wohlan denn ihr Reichen, weint und heult über euer Elend, das über euch kommen wird.

EA ya ahora, oh ricos, llorad aullando por vuestras miserias que os vendrán.

Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.

Euer Reichtum verschwindet, eure Gewänder werden von Motten zerfressen.

Vuestras riquezas están podridas: vuestras ropas están comidas de polilla.

Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.

Euer Gold und Silber ist verrostet, und ihr Rost wird euch zum Zeugnis sein und wird euer Fleisch fressen wie ein Feuer. Ihr habt in den letzten Tagen Schätze gehäuft.

Vuestro oro y plata están corrompidos de orín; y su orín os será en testimonio, y comerá del todo vuestras carnes como fuego. Os habéis allegado tesoro para en los postreros días.

Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

Your gold and your silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be for a testimony against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up your treasure in the last days.

Siehe, der Lohn der Arbeiter, die für euch eure Lande abgemäht, und den ihr verkürzt habt, schreit, und das Schreien der Schnitter ist vor die Ohren des Herrn Zebaoth gekommen.

He aquí, el jornal de los obreros que han segado vuestras tierras, el cual por engaño no les ha sido pagado de vosotros, clama; y los clamores de los que habían segado, han entrado en los oídos del Señor de los ejércitos.

Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies.

Ihr ließet euch wohlsein auf Erden und habt geschwelgt, habt euch weidlich gemästet wie am Tag des Schlachtopfers.

Habéis vivido en deleites sobre la tierra, y sido disolutos; habéis cebado vuestros corazones como en el día de sacrificios.

Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.

You have lived in luxury on the earth, and taken your pleasure. You have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter.

Ihr habt den Gerechten verurteilt, gemordet; er widersteht euch nicht.

Habéis condenado y muerto al justo; y él no os resiste.

Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.

You have condemned and you have murdered the righteous one. He doesn’t resist you.

So haltet denn geduldig aus, liebe Brüder, bis zur Zukunft des Herrn. Siehe, der A-ckersmann wartet auf die köstliche Frucht des Feldes und geduldet sich, bis er Frühregen und Spätregen empfängt.

Pues, hermanos, tened paciencia hasta la venida del Señor. Mirad cómo el labrador espera el precioso fruto de la tierra, aguardando con paciencia, hasta que reciba la lluvia temprana y tardía.

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

So geduldet denn auch ihr euch, und festigt eure Herzen; denn die Zukunft des Herrn ist nahe.

Tened también vosotros paciencia; confirmad vuestros corazones: porque la venida del Señor se acerca.

Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

Klagt nicht über einander, Brüder, auf daß ihr nicht verdammt werdet; siehe, der Richter steht vor der Tür.

Hermanos, no os quejéis unos contra otros, porque no seáis condenados; he aquí, el juez está delante de la puerta.

Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

Don’t grumble, brothers, against one another, so that you won’t be judged. Behold, the judge stands at the door.

Nehmt euch zum Muster im Leiden und in der Geduld die Propheten, die im Namen des Herrn zu euch geredet haben.

Hermanos míos, tomad por ejemplo de aflicción y de paciencia, á los profetas que hablaron en nombre del Señor.

Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

Take, brothers, for an example of suffering and of perseverance, the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.

Siehe, wir preisen selig die, so ausharren; von der Standhaftigkeit Hiobs habt ihr gehört, und das Ende des Herrn habt ihr gesehen; denn der Herr ist von großer Gnade und Barmherzigkeit.

He aquí, tenemos por bienaventurados á los que sufren. Habéis oído la paciencia de Job, y habéis visto el fin del Señor, que el Señor es muy misericordioso y piadoso.

Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Behold, we call them blessed who endured. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and have seen the Lord in the outcome, and how the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

Vor allen Dingen aber, meine Brüder, schwört nicht, weder bei dem Himmel, noch bei der Erde, noch einen anderen Schwur. Bei euch aber sei ja: ja, nein: nein, auf daß ihr nicht dem Gericht verfallet.

Mas sobre todo, hermanos míos, no juréis, ni por el cielo, ni por la tierra, ni por otro cualquier juramento; sino vuestro sí sea sí, y vuestro no sea no; porque no caigáis en condenación.

But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.

Ist jemand krank unter euch, so rufe er zu sich die Ältesten der Gemeinde, und die sollen beten über ihn und ihn salben mit Öl im Namen des Herrn.

¿Está alguno enfermo entre vosotros? llame á los ancianos de la iglesia, y oren por él, ungiéndole con aceite en el nombre del Señor.

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

Und das Gebet des Glaubens wird dem Kranken helfen und der Herr wird ihn aufrichten, und so er Sünden begangen hat, wird ihm vergeben werden.

Y la oración de fe salvará al enfermo, y el Señor lo levantará; y si estuviere en pecados, le serán perdonados.

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Bekennt einander eure Übertretungen und betet füreinander, daß euch Heil widerfahre; das Gebet des Gerechten vermag viel, wenn es ernstlich ist.

Confesaos vuestras faltas unos á otros, y rogad los unos por los otros, para que seáis sanos; la oración del justo, obrando eficazmente, puede mucho.

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.

Elias war ein Mensch gleich wie wir, und betete ein Gebet, daß es nicht regnen sollte, und es regnete nicht im Lande drei Jahre und sechs Monate.

Elías era hombre sujeto á semejantes pasiones que nosotros, y rogó con oración que no lloviese, y no llovió sobre la tierra en tres años y seis meses.

Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it didn’t rain on the earth for three years and six months.

Und er betete abermals, und der Himmel gab Regen und die Erde brachte ihre Frucht.

Y otra vez oró, y el cielo dió lluvia, y la tierra produjo su fruto.

And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

Brüder, so einer unter euch von der Wahrheit abirrete, und es brächte ihn jemand zurück,

Hermanos, si alguno de entre vosotros ha errado de la verdad, y alguno le convirtiere,

Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

Brothers, if any among you wanders from the truth and someone turns him back,

Der wisse, daß, wer einen Sünder von seinem Irrweg zurückbringt, eine Seele vom Tod errettet und damit eine Menge Sünden bedeckt.

Sepa que el que hubiere hecho convertir al pecador del error de su camino, salvará un alma de muerte, y cubrirá multitud de pecados.

Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.
