Había en aquel tiempo un hombre de Galaad llamado Jefté, varón muy esforzado y guerrero, que tuvo por padre a Galaad y por madre a una meretriz.

EXISTÍA entonces Jephté, Galaadita, hombre valiente, hijo de una ramera, al cual había engendrado Galaad.
