Da ich nun sah, daß ihr nicht helfen wolltet, stellete ich meine Seele in meine Hand und zog hin wider die Kinder Ammon, und der HErr gab sie in meine Hand. Warum kommt ihr nun zu mir herauf, wider mich zu streiten?

Y Jephté les respondió: Yo tuve, y mi pueblo, una gran contienda con los hijos de Ammón, y os llamé, y no me defendisteis de sus manos.

And Jephthah said unto them, I and my people were at great strife with the children of Ammon; and when I called you, ye delivered me not out of their hands.
